We have had this 10 X 4 storage for three months . We are very pleased with the facility cleanliness, lighting, easy access and the employes are all very nice and helpful. We arrived from Beijing China and needed a place to store our sea shipment when it arrives. We also had some local storage which we moved from Seattle to this cost facility, Public Storage #08186 at 12385 Northup Way, Bellevue. We needed a 5' by 5' Climate Controlled locker. Derick helped me with all the paperwork and even went the extra mile to help me move some boxes that were too heavy for me alone. He showed us the unit and answered all of our questions in good detail and with the friendly attitude. Manager Rob offered some very helpful advice about the ins and outs of storage. read more

Been a long time user of Public Storage at this site. I wanted to call out their good service after a recent mistake of mine. I was closing out a storage unit and when leaving locked the lock but left the door unlatched. The very next morning Public Storage team called to let me know they had added a secondary lock to the latch and all was safe! I just had to check in and have them remove their lock a few days later when I could return. Great attention to detail! I felt these guys actually care about their clients and business. read more

Since I have a contractor that needed the first floor of our townhouse to be cleared out so he could lay the hardwood floors, it was necessary to find a storage unit fast to put everything. I went there at around 2:15pm to check out the space and do the paperwork and by 2:45pm, my contractor and his assistant arrived to put everything in the storage unit. Run away or else you will regret storing your stuff here: 1. Elevator has been broken for 2 weeks due to flooding. They don't even seem to sympathize or care to fix the problem. The manager couldn't even tell us when it will be fixed. He just said that they're not responsible for the inconvenience of having to haul our heavy stuff up and down stairs. 2. They hook you in with specials then immediately keep raise the rent. 3. The pin-code entry doors don't deter theft. The doors are always propped open, especially now that the elevators are not functioning. 4. Fortunately our unit did not appear to have been flooded but I wonder if the flooding might have damaged other people's units. 5. Bathrooms are not cleaned regularly. Smells horrible! read more

I wish I could give negative stars based on my experience with this place. I recently purchased a vintage powerboat and needed short term storage until I can relocate it to where it will ultimately reside. I thought this place would be a good choice because it is near my home, so I could easily work on the boat before taking to it's new home. Given that the place is surrounded by fencing, and there are security gates to enter and leave, I thought my boat would be safe there for a couple of months. I was completely wrong. On the 3rd weekend, I went down to work on it on Saturday, and all was fine. When I came back on Sunday, I discovered that overnight somebody had been on my boat, and they stole a rather expensive (brand new) marine battery. Also, the thief also rifled through all the onboard storage. Thankfully, only the battery was missing, and there does not appear to be damage to anything. When I discovered this, I talked to another gentleman who was doing some work on his vehicle that is stored there, and he told me that he has had his gas tank drained on multiple occasions while his truck was in storage there. Also, his friend who was helping him had tools stolen from his storage spot as well. When I reported the situation to the office, the lady was NO help what so ever. She said I had to call my insurance and file a police report - there was nothing they could or would do because they had no liability for stolen or damaged property while at their facility. She said she would file an "incident report", but she could not explain their procedures or processes they follow for events like this. They have ZERO security at this place, with the only cameras focused on the entry gates (only one of which works by the way) - no coverage of the outdoor storage area where people are keeping very nice/expensive boats and RV's. The first day I moved my boat there, I was a bit nervous because there were creepy guys roaming around inside the facility with their dogs off leash. They seemed to be scoping out the place to see what people had in those outdoor areas. I should have trusted my instincts, and taken my boat elsewhere. The day I discovered the theft, I took my boat home and made other arrangements for storage. My recommendation is to avoid this place if you value your possessions. read more

I gave it a one star review for this reason, My unit is at the end of a hall, the last two times I visited the facility the lights at near my unit and in my unit were out. Further the lights in the stairwell were also out. So I could not safely access my unit without bringing a flashlight. I complained to the site manager, and am hoping that by now the situation has been fixed.. read more

When I first moved into this space late last year, I would've rated them a 5. Customer service was great, move in was simple, long hours, and fair prices. However, recently, access hours were dramatically reduced. Okay; I'll live w the change... But I then also receive a notice in the mail stating that my rent is significantly increasing. I like many others have also had my storage unit broken into here. Don't risk storing your belongings here. The employees don't care either as it seems to happen pretty often here. To top it all off, they increased my rent right after it got broken into. I complained and they said there's nothing they could do. Thanks a lot. You guys don't care at all. Wow. I got a call today that my storage unit was broken into along with many other units at this facility. I'm out of town so they said they'll put a lock on it for me "sometime tonight". So I guess they're just leaving it open all day for other people to steal from it? They didn't give me an answer to that question. The thief pried the locks off the door. That's how weak their doors are. The locks weren't cut. I asked if they'll be compensating me somehow and they said no, "you take full liability". I'll be moving my stuff out of here as soon as I can. Terrible customer service. Absolutely terrible. Don't do business here. read more

This location is expensive, but the staff is great. Especially Jhon, but really- everyone there is kind and helpful. It feels like a small business and that makes me feel safe about leaving my belongings there. I will be vacating this month and have arranged a pro-rate so that I can have the weekend to move out. I will update this review if that does not go smoothly- but frankly, I expect it to. As for negative reviews on here- I cant believe them....I have seen it all here- I lost my keys and had to get my locks cut--- they made it easy and were so helpful! I also visited once when the power was completely out in the area, and there was a guard by the gate. If I did have a negative experience here- I would be highly motivated to write a review, because I do feel this is a lot to pay for a storage unit. However, so far- it has been worth it for short term storage. UPDATE- moving out was a breeze! Met another staff member who was SO nice. everyone there just seems to "get it" - moving sucks, our stuff is important to us, and we don't want to pay for time we don't use. Have been using the public storage at 12385 Northup Way for about 3 months. Just got a call that my unit and a few others were broken into. They found out after their routine (not sure how often) lock checks and found that my unit and a few others were missing their locks. They could've been unlocked for weeks for all I know. I'll be moving our stuff to a storage unit in my apartment building. I do not recommend this place. read more

Went to my unit that was broken into. The Public Storage lock was cut and my belongings scattered everywhere. Again no help and no consideration from Public Storage employee. I will be moving my things out by the end of the month. I strongly suggest storing your things somewhere else. read more

What a fantastic experience we had yesterday signing up for our storage unit. We first went to the site on 124th and Anji (not a misspelling), who was already helping someone else, acknowledged us ("I'll be right with you") the SECOND we walked in the door. She was fun, friendly, efficient...but they were out of the size we wanted so she called over to the site across the street to check availability. We went over there and Jhon (ALSO not a misspelling) was ready for us. He was AWESOME (and I seldom use that over-used word). He was hysterically funny, amazingly friendly, helpful, efficient, and just plain great! He treated my sister and me like we'd all been best friends for years! The golf cart ride to our unit was like a mini-party...we joked and laughed the whole time (but he also made sure we were seated and holding onto the handrails before taking off). Both properties were clean, the offices organized, and the whole process was just plain REALLY pleasant. I would recommend either of the sites to anyone. If I have ANYthing 'negative' to say, it's that the lock they sold us was kinda expensive (not sure if I could've brought my own...I didn't ask) but, other than that, a terrific experience. read more

Customer service is at its worst here, always has been (John). "Don't like it? Tough. Go somewhere else!" kind of attitude. Elevator is broke and no ETA on a fix. Units were recently flooded out due to construction next door. Maybe it's beyond their control but they offer no kind of reimbursement (or sympathy) for the inconvenience of having to now hire people to move heavy items up and down stairs instead of using wheeled carts and an elevator. The manager John really doesn't seem to care at all about this major inconvenience. With all my dealings with these guys over the past 6 years, I've always felt they don't care and just want to raise rates periodically, charge fees wherever they can, and force insurance on your unit, even if you have other insurance that covers it. I would have moved my 3 units here long ago if it wasn't such a pain to do so. This elevator thing is the last straw and I am finally moving! Read the fine print on your contract and you'll see it is all set up to protect themselves and screw you as a paying customer. read more
