I got a storage unit here a few months ago and I am loving it! The move in day process was super easy, they had all the paperwork ready and had one employee show my boyfriend to the unit while I filled out the forms to save us time. They allow you to borrow a truck on your move in day, it was extremely convenient if you're able to return the truck before the end of the day- this was no problem for us with their Saturday hours. The security seems good, I have no fear for my possessions. The after hours access is the major game changer, the big chain in Seattle area has horrible hours for folks who work traditional business hours. I've been able to stop after work, after dinner with friends, weekends, etc. and their location right off 405 makes it a quick trip from when I'm coming from the east side or seattle. So stress free- will continue to use stor house even though I don't live very close to them! read more

My two bedroom apartment was masquerading as a one bedroom for... quite some time. After my father passed away it took a long time for me to begin to deal with all of the things he left behind -- or rather, things I had left behind at his house as I moved from apartment-to-apartment in college and afterwards. So one day I told myself I had to do SOMETHING about all this stuff. So I called Stor-House, which is crazy conveniently right off of 405 at the SE 8th St. exit (aka 5 minutes from my apartment) and within the hour I was there getting a tour from Tony and signing up for my very own storage unit. The prices are higher than you'll pay other places, but calling Stor-House secure is an understatement. You scan your card at every entrance, every door that needs to be opened, to get on the elevator, and you can only go to your specific floor. I know that my sentimental junk is safe there until I get the emotional strength to actually deal with it. Also, they provide a free moving truck for customer use (just gotta sign up for it and fill up the gas tank before you drop it back off) and their lights / music automatically turn on as you enter your floor, so you're never walking down an eerily dark hallway... I mean, as far as self storage goes, this place is pretty much the crème de la crème. read more

This place is *amazing*! I've had a lot of experience with different storage places throughout my life and the Stor-House in Bellevue is absolutely the best one. First of all, it's the nicest storage facility I've ever seen. It's really clean and the lobby is really lovely, and the units themselves are great. Secondly, the people who work there are THE nicest. Tony is the nicest guy in the world. I've spoken with him on the phone a few times and finally got to meet him the other day when I drove all the way to the Stor-House before realizing I had forgotten the key to my unit...Tony was EXTREMELY helpful, as was his business partner! I felt like such an idiot and they were awesome in helping solve my problem. Fair, honest, clean, convenient, great service is how I would sum it up. I've had to use many storage facilities throughout the years and throughout several different states. Stor-House does not lure you in like some other places that offer a bogus "1st month" deal and then hit you with a bunch of administrative fees which offset any savings they offered. Other places force you to buy their lock, but at Stor-House, they refund that back if you return the lock. I've also used their wine storage in the past which is a great service as well with a banquet room that you can rent. It's better than any other storage facility I've ever used and I highly recommend it. read more

I have some items stored at this facility. Since 2012, my payments were charged automatically with no issue. Smooth sailing. Two months ago, we had a security issue which required that I change all of my credit cards. Although Stor House attempted to reach me via phone, that number had been changed long ago. However, as soon as Tony reached out to me via email, I made updates to the account immediately. By the way, my first knowledge of this situation was the threat to auction my unit. I think an electronic invoice would have been more than sufficient to avoid this type of situation, although I wonder if it would be much more lucrative to process auctions. I am giving the facility 1 star for Tonys comment: "I'm sorry, but I cannot waive the late fees. Once the rent gets behind, it sets in motion a series of events that cannot be altered... I wish I could be more helpful, but I must follow policy." Don't waive the late fees, but I'd love to hear what the owner of Stor House would say about Tonys worse-than-canned response? Should I take my business elsewhere? read more

So before I could object the service rep takes my box full of confidential documents and simply dumps them in an unlocked paper waste bin. I drove 20 mins from Redmond to have my confidential docs shredded onsite as advertised. He explained to me that they have the docs picked up every Thursday. I don't care, that's not only misleading advertising as it is not "on site" as advertised. Plus once he dumped my docs in like 1 second I had no choice as I was in a hurry and had no time for him to sort through the bin for my file box of docs. Totally wrong and NOT secure nor confidential! Never coming back! read more

I have rented several storage units, and also few temperature controlled wine lockers at the Stor-House since 2012. Over those 5 years I've continually been impressed with the way the Stor House is managed and run. The StorHouse facility is well lit, and very clean, and this cleanliness even extends to the restrooms. In the past I've rented at other storage facilities that were dark, dirty, scary and if they offered a restroom, it was not one I wanted to use. You won't find those issues at the Stor House. The employees are friendly and professional and have offered lots of helpful advice when I've changed between units. If you are interested in Wine Storage, the StorHouse is second to none. They are conveniently located off of I-90 and 405 freeways and have some of the longest operating hours in the Seattle area. Very convenient for those times when you need to zip over and pull some bottles from your locker on short notice. If you are even considering renting a self storage unit, you owe it to yourself to go meet with Tony, Kim or Ajit at the main office and view the facilities. read more

Let me first begin by saying I rarely write these kinds of comments for any website. Normally it would take extraordinary circumstances to move me to take the time to comment. For me, service is either very bad, which would warrant a comment or extraordinary great service which also inspires me to comment. My most recent encounter at the Stor-House certainly falls into the category of having a great service experience. I was recently faced with an unfortunate situation where I had to quickly find a suitable storage solution, as well as needing a means to move my belongings quickly, while finding a storage facility with flexible options that would fit my budget. To compound my challenge, I was faced with a very short turn-around time to get the entire move done (less than 3 days!) without the benefit of a truck, movers, or any idea of what I needed to get my personal belongings safely moved. The stress I faced was overwhelming and when I arrived at the Stor-House in Bellevue, the entire staff went out of their way to listen to the problems and then professionally addressed each challenge with a solution that eased my concerns. In short, I can't stop praising the staff at Stor-House for listening to my needs and creating a storage solution that not only fit my scenario, but everyone on staff went above and beyond to extend me every courtesy. The solution they conceived addressed each of my concerns and has comforted me because I know my belongings are safe and secure. At the end of the day, I would not have been able to complete my move-in without great stress and the potential loss of many of my personal belongings. For several months, we've been using this stor-house location south of Bellevue to store overflow merchandise. The staff here is amazing, and I don't give praise like that lightly. They clearly have a mandate from the owner to "do right" by customers whenever they can. If they're not too busy, they'll literally drop everything to help you. If you have a special request, the answer isn't a reflexive "no", rather it starts with "yes" and they just try to figure out what they can do. We had a storage unit at the storage facility across the road for our staging needs (we're realtors and have furniture and accessories stored that we use for our listings). We kept seeing the StorHouse truck and went over to ask them about it and tour the facility. We found out that if you get a storage locker at StorHouse, you get to use their truck for no extra charge to move your items there, which was a huge value proposition to us. Will was great at breaking down the rates, showing me around but more importantly making me feel comfortable and creating a stress free experience. Also, the facility was super secure using HID cards for access in and out as well as elevator use. I worked through Tony most of the time I was there and he was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! The facility is super modern and the security is top-notch. It also has very good lighting, clean bathrooms and even speakers in the ceilings playing music at all hours so you can jam out while moving. And the free rental truck...fantastic! We looked at many storage options in Bellevue. Stor House was by far the cleanest and best maintained. All the areas are very well lit and not spooky like many storage places. They always have music playing in the background. They also have free trucks and dollies to use to help you move in. What impressed me the most is the customer service not just the first time we went to see their facility but every time I have visited the place. During our last visit, Tony went out of his way to help us. All the areas have video surveillance and need individual cards to enter the parking area and to enter the building and acces the elevator. Yelp buried my review in the Not Recommended pile. How annoying. Stop doing that, Yelp! I'm re-posting my review from September. I absolutely LOVE my storage unit at Stor-House. I wouldn't think of moving any of my items to another facility. Every wonderful thing you see on yelp about Stor-House and Tony are true. I love my storage unit even more than I like my own apartment! In terms of cleanliness, the facility is impeccable. In terms of security, I have never had a sleepless night worrying about whether my belongings were safe. There is an electronic card that everybody has to swipe at 3 different locations before even reaching the personal unit. You get a brand new lock when you sign your contract and you see it opened from the plastic package in front of you. Everything is indoors and that is an added bonus when it comes to winter moving season. I have unloaded or dropped off items at several different times of day/days of the week and I have always been able to find a space in the loading dock. The thing that was particularly important for me was to be able to have a push cart since I move things in/out by myself without any help. There is a huge row of push carts for everyone to use. I've never had to carry anything up to my 3rd floor unit. Tons of carts and tons of space in the 2 elevators. The other thing that was important for me as a person moving in by myself was the truck. I had no interested in paying for a U-Haul truck, and the Stor-House free truck usage (you cover gas costs) was a real life-saver. You can pay online, pay in person, but I prefer to pay online. The benefit of doing that is that you can pay for more than one month at a time. I usually pay in 3-month increments. Now, in terms of size, I rented the $85 5 x 7.5 unit and was able to fit a full size mattress, box spring, side tables, an ikea vertical small dresser thing, and a TON of plastic Target stackable bins and cardboard boxes. The ceilings on the units are extremely tall (maybe 10 feet--not sure, just a guess), so I leaned the mattresses up vertically and had room for everything else. Again, a wonderful, safe, clean storage unit and very respectful service from Tony. Can't say enough great things about Stor-House and Tony. read more

My family and I have used couple of units during two different times and we have found everyone working there respectful, professional, and helpful. The storage is like no other storage. It is clean, very secure, full of light, and did I say clean! My movers while leaving the storage, damaged the gate and I can not tell you how patient, and professional they handled the situation. The damage was considerable and they dealt with me with patience and respect. I am truly impressed. I feel comfortable with my belongings there, and I'm sure my stuff is safe and secure. One thing to know.....the move in price includes using their U-Haul truck for free. I have so many great things to say about The Stor-House! I was originally attracted to the great reviews it received on Yelp, but as I started to interact with them personally, I could tell it was going to be a great experience. First and foremost, I want to respond to Carl S. review from 9/5/2014 about the late fees due to his automatic payments not going thru. I had the same exact thing happen. My credit card was compromised because of fraud, so naturally I had to get all new credit cards. Well the last thing you think of is your storage unit automatic draft. I received a prompt email from The Stor-House saying my payment had been declined (this was early in the morning so I was already calling before they opened to resolve the issue). They received my voicemail and immediately called back when they opened. They received my new credit card information and waived the late fee no problem. It was fantastic because they brought it to my attention that the card was no longer valid via email. EVERYONE uses email, so it's pretty much impossible to miss this. Crisis diverted no problem! And Carl, maybe if you change your phone number it might be a smart move to update the people who are in possession of your personal belongings. Just a thought. I have been storing items at The Stor-House for a little over 8 months now and have had the best experience. I recently moved from a smaller storage unit into a larger one (my boyfriend and I consolidated some personal items). IT WAS THE EASIEST PROCESS! The staff at The Stor-House is caring, efficient and incredibly helpful. It was literally the easiest process ever. The staff is absolutely incredible as well. They develop personal relationships with you and truly care about your individual experience. It is quite easy to tell they aren't just herding you like cattle in order to receive your money at the end of the month. I was even able to use their U-Haul size moving truck while moving my personal belongings from downtown Seattle to Bellevue. That alone saved me a chunk of change, and again the process to borrow the truck was easy peasy. Of course while researching storage places, I was looking at some spots in Renton or Issaquah hoping to save some money because they aren't located right in downtown Bellevue. To my surprise The Stor-House had the same prices as some storage units in Kent, Renton, Totem Lake, etc. This was a big plus plus for me because the convenience of being close to your storage unit is obviously better than a 15+ minute drive. Overall The Stor-House has been absolutely great. Affordable, friendly and helpful make The Stor-House the best. Tony- you the man!
