DeeDee was super helpful. I have rented here before 6+ years ago and only had one issue that was caused by an out source company putting new doors on the units and public storage was super helpful after the issue occurred. I would recommend them. read more

This place is a joke !! The roads are bad and the vehicles here are vandalized glass everywhere. They tell you once price but twice a year they raise it so high it's not affordable to make you move out to rent it to another person ! Don't waist your time or your money read more

I purchased a unit 4x10 thinking it would fit all my stuff,unfortunately it did not. Thankfully for Becky and her great knowledge and helpfulness I was able to transfer to a larger size with ease. Thank u Becky again! read more

The front desk attendant was wonderful. However, the public storage facility, in of its self, does not seem very safe/secure. Now I do have an open storage area, for my RV -- but the front gate of the facility is broken (pending getting fixed). But I also did see a car or two in the lot that had broken windshields and the front desk attendant emphasized about 3 times "make sure to lock up everything." ... it was very ominous. Not sure if I'll keep my RV here. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

I've price checked the cost of gas a couple times in the past but finally gave up years ago, because Brad always had everyone beat. You can pre-pay for your gas on a contract, or you can roll the dice and pay as you go (and hope there's not a shortage in December driving prices up). We buy ours every summer/fall for the winter to lock in the price. One year someone drove over the top of our underground tank and broke the plastic "hatch". Brad was out here within a week with a used hatch he'd come up with somewhere and rather than digging completely down to the tank to bolt it on, was able to cut the old one out and install the new one in a way that doesn't leak water, and saved me a ton of money (and him a ton of work!). They're always johnny on the spot with fills; we try not to let our tank get below 30% so that we can give them flexibility but if you've got an emergency or run out of gas, they'll be there immediately (emergency charges apply obviously, but they're not unreasonable). Just a great company to deal with every time I've interacted with them, and they've got the cheapest price on gas anytime I've ever checked around. Even if they didn't I'd likely keep using them because they're a small family company rather than a conglomerate. When the owner of the company gives you his cell phone number for emergencies, you know you're going to be well taken care of!

I received a phone call a few days ago that my storage unit had been broken into. They stated they don't THINK anything was taken but I should come out right away to look through my items, take count and then file a police report & claim. We arrive at the unit to find that we were pretty much wiped out. Large Appliances, whole bedroom sets, livingroom sets, kitchen table & chairs, Tv's, workout equipment & electronics. Yet this is a gated storage that you have to have a code to get in. The property manager and her thugged out family live on the property and there are camera's throughout. Selected storages were broken into. BUT NO ONE SAW, HEARD OR RECORDED! THIS IS DEFINITELY AND INSIDE JOB!!! Stay away from Public Storage unless you are ready to donate all of your belongings to thieves. read more

I have a restraining order against this psychopath for harassment and if you don't take my post down immediately, I will hire a lawyer to sue you for allowing him to harass me through your business website page I don't have a public storage unit with you and I never will since I know you hire people like him and I'll be sure to tell all my friends also I will never have a storage unit in a place that hires people that physically assault women for as long as you have Cody units I will never be a customer of public storage. Becky is the one that assisted me. She went the full 150% to describe the different size units and asked me what i had to store in it. When i told her she said the unit i had wanted was the size of a closet which would not hold my items. She took my daughters boyfriend to look at both sizes (i am disabled and its hard to walk and get in out of cars etc) plus he was a better judgement of storage units. We agreed to go up one size and im glad i did. read more

We have been storing business equipment since 2008 at the Public Storage located in Belton, Mo. 64012. We have encountered numerous issues since using Public Storage but have remained with Public Storage for one reason only and that person/reason is DeeDee. She is very professional and proactive. She has a great personality. Management other than Dee Dee have been very unprofessional and full of excuses. Thank God for DeeDee. read more
