UPDATE (4/5/19): Rates going up 20%. I wish my pay went up that much in a month. Left voice message with regional manager over a week ago and no response. Time to relocate my stuff. They keep increasing their rates hoping you don't notice. UPDATE (4/26/18): The regional manager reached out to me and fixed the rate hikes. Wish they had credited ALL the months that they kept increasing the monthly rent. BE AWARE of price increases that occur very frequently. Started at $147 less than 18 months ago and just got a notice going to $198. Almost 35% increase. Time to look for another storage unit. Happy to be in this unit because the last company I was with only had outdoor storage and my stuff was getting ruined, but what the heck with price increasing?! In their lease it says they can (for any reason at all) increase the rent costs, so they did. By $22 a month!! And from what I've read elsewhere it continues to consistently increase. Not very customer friendly. When trying to reserve an additional storage unit Christine would not honor the online quoted price. Despite trying to give them business, we were met with continued difficulty. Also the gate is constantly in the open position. Not a lot of security despite claims to the contrary. On one evening a football team was using the facility to hand out uniforms, gate was up. Gate was up all day yesterday while welding company worked on it. read more

This review is for the location in Phoenix on Cave Creek Blvd. The location, building, units and staff are all fine. Tiffany is really helpful. My warning is about price. I got a great price and this was the main reason I moved into this location. It is not terribly convenient from my house but the price made it worth it since I don't have to be there that often. Now, in a surprise move, they suddenly increased the price by 21%. Of course they have the right to do this, it's a month to month lease. But once you have spent the money for helpers and taken the effort to find the place and move in they know that the cost to move is enough they can take advantage. I don't know if I would have made a different decision had I known this would happen. The price is still acceptable but on the high side. I will be looking around for something more convenient in case this happens again. But the audacity to take advantage like that scares me for the future. read more

I was looking for a storage facility and came across an online special for an indoor air conditioned unit for this facility in Heron Bay by Parkland. Cindy was very helpful, courteous, and informative about the details of the facility. She showed me the unit, informed me about insurance, the special lock, and helped me further when I couldn't get the gate code to work. On another occasion, I had gone to pay in person and the lady sitting behind the desk was also very courteous. All in all, I've had a great experience dealing with public storage and its staff. I would recommend this facility (it's clean) if you are around that area or find a good online special and don't mind traveling a few miles. read more
