God bless nice job I have had my things in a storage for over 2 years and I can say I'm very happy

Signing up for the storage unit was unbelievably smooth and easy with Mary from the call centre. She was very professional and friendly. But the Afro woman staff at the commercial blvd storage unit was horribly rude and patronising right from the start. When I called her about the missing padlock that comes with the unit, she told me to "open my eyes" and check inside the unit again, she adamantly insisted there was a padlock; short of calling me a Liar. Upon leaving the premises, I went to the office to Thank her and to use the bathroom; but her shrill and condescending attitude was appalling. By using the restroom she blamed me for delaying her lunch and it was already 3pm. I decided not to engage with her. But she shouted "Oi!" and "Did you listen to what I am telling you". I said "yes and please have care in how you speak to me" she refused but instead she kept firing back and forth with me. Refusing to back off. Rebutting me for not answering her. I am appalled by all her hostility and unprofessional mean attitude unbecoming of a staff! When I told her not to raise her voice at me and to stop with her shrill and condescending tone, as I am not her employee, she retorts back by saying: "I am not your slave". I asked her what did I do? She couldn't answer me. Clearly, she was having a bad day and was taking it all out on me. Still; there is no excuse. When I asked for her name, she made a mockery out of me by saying I can only get to call her "?Martia" She refused to spell it out for me. Finally, she told me to get out and she's calling the Police accusing me of taking a video of her attitude unbecoming. I told Mary from the call centre that I would be taking the rental for a year but with all these disturbing and annoying vibes coming from this particular staff; I doubt if I could rent past a month! read more

It has been a journey with life and etc . Alex has always understood and bend over backwards for me numerous times. He will work with you and he understands that life happens. I really liked this storage located. It's convenient to me and climate controlled. Be warned what you assume is a yearly agreement is nothing of the sort. I was told when I signed it was 12 months and one month free at $80.00 for a small unit. So we drag everything there and no problems. It fits, price is acceptable etc. A month later I receive a notification that the storage rental fee has gone up! Well what did I sign. I guess my bad for thinking my rate was locked in. Here is the part that's really upsetting, the rent jumped 50 percent!! In a matter of a few months it went to $121.00 a month. Obviously it's a bait and switch to get you in there on a low rate. They know you are not going to move your stuff again quickly. When I moved out I was going to tell the girl at the front but she was so damn sweet I just figured not much she could do and I'm out of there. read more

I was very happy to find this place through a Google search. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is amazing I know how everyone feels about moving but having a great place to store your things is comforting. I've used Public storage in the past and didn't want to use them again. This storage space is conveniently located right off I-95 and Commercial. Very clean and secure. The customer service at this Extra Space Storage was excellent! It was actually referred to me by a different extra space Storage location. The area was clean and well kept. On my move out day, I managed to drop my keys down the elevator shaft (I thought this only happened in movies) In a panic, I ran to the office and the staff was amazing! Not only was she supportive and understanding but she contacted the elevator maintenance person who got them out at no additional charge for me. I highly recommend this location to anyone! read more

Not a pleasant experience! The place is old and stinky. The unit they showed me had rat poisoning in the unit. When I asked about it, the girl said we put that in there just in case. The pricing was fine when I moved in, but suddenly, AND WITHOUT WARNING, my monthly rate went up 20%. I needed three more months, and I asked to keep my old rate for that time, agreeing to pay the new rate if I needed to extend further, all to no avail. My request fell on deaf ears with the excuse that they don't have that many spaces left of that size, making ME pay for the fact that their spaces were actually earning them money already. Claude helped her get a unit to fit the needs she was looking for and tried to get her the closest to the door as he could. She is an older lady and was very appreciative that he did what he could. I rented two large units sight unseen based on their National reputation. I paid a lot for two units that are supposed to be climate controlled per their website.My very expensive furniture now has black mold and we took the temp inside the units and they were over 90 degrees. The units are completely sealed off like a tomb. I called corporate and left a message for the district manager to call me urgently..NO call. Called the manager of the facility who was upset that he had not called me and she also put in a call to him to call me. It has been two WEEKS! The guy simply does not care. They want your money, lie to you about the climate control after charging a ton of money and ignore your calls when you want them to right their wrong! This is so wrong. The carpets inside have always been gross but I overlooked it, I saw roaches crawling the walls in the hall, overlooked that too but for a district manager whose job is protecting the reputation of their company this guy sure has rubbed me wrong. I will continue to call and will start from the top of the food chain this time! Wonder if "Help me Howard" should look into this? read more
