    No manager on site. Trash everywhere. Mold everywhere. For this to be the first thing I see, when I open my storage unit; that I had to pay for before even using.... Unacceptable!!! I've never gotten a refund so fast from a place in my life!!!

    The assistant manager/Sherry doesn't have good customer service and she doesn't know how to speak…read moreto customers in a good manner and I experienced that tonight around 11:00 pm when I put my gate code in and entered the property went to my unit and found that I had been over locked sometime earlier today 4/4/2026 and I paid my bill in full online on 4/3/2025 my space shouldn't have been overlooked. So I went to the office and rang the door bell no one answered so I rang the bell on the apartment that is attached to the office also no answer then I called and left a message, so then I went to the apartment located at the back of property and I knocked very lightly Assistant manager came to door I ask if she could tell me why I'm overlooked she was very rude when she told me I didn't pay my bill, I then told her that is wrong I paid Friday asked her if she could call the Manager she then told me I would have to take that up with Christina and that she wasn't fucking calling anybody for me, then her dog came running after me like it was going to bite me and I told the dog to get away from my then Sherry told me fuck off mother fucker and to get the fuck away from her door and that she wasn't helping me with shit, so I walked back to my space and got in my car entered my code and left the property sent another text message and an email to the property in Broadway Blvd, Garland Tx.

There's no mysterious fees during the move in and the lock is complimentary. Also access is 24 hours a day with no surprises like codes changing out of nowhere. The cost is a good value because it's rules are pretty basic...just follow them and everything will go smoothly. Not trying to slam the others but it's nothing like "snatch & grab" places like Public Storage or Extra Space Storage with extremely high turnover rates for auctions.     I just closed out my last of two units at this location, so I can speak to the entire entirety of…read morethe experience. I had both a temperature controlled and outdoor unit. In summary, the staff are great, but I would not recommend this place because of the unpredictable massive rate jump I experienced, the sad location, and especially the condition of the outdoor units. - Staff/Signing up: super easy and the staff are awesome. They made it a breeze. When I did have issues, they were very quick to come over and do what they could within their power. However, they are not very empowered unfortunately - Rates: they started out really great, compared to others in the area. I chose this location across from an adult movie rental and near a lot of homeless people because the rate was good, in spite of the terrible location. Within six months of my rental, they significantly raised my rates - not a little but a lot (probably 50-75%) on both of my units. - Condition: the conditions of the property were kept pretty good. I didn't have any issues with temp controlled unit. However, the outdoor unit was a different matter. There was clearly a rat problem for more than half of my time there. I was on a corner unit, so there were only a few places that they could've been. Supposedly traps were put around the property and the property managers came and put traps inside of my unit. Indeed, one of those traps captured a large rat. Nonetheless I came back after a couple more months and there was more rat poop super unsanitary.

He gave no instructions on what had to be done, just that I needed to evacuate my unit before the 1st, which I did. Since I was given no instructions I closed the gate and locked it not knowing I was supposed to leave it open. He calls me and informs me I have a past due balance. I inform him I moved out last month and no longer in the state. He then tells me that since I closed the gate it insinuates I'm still occupying it, therefore need to pay. I tell him I was not instructed to do so for move out, therefore I am not paying. Mind you, throughout this convo he is cutting me off and if I didn't stop talking he would resort to raising his voice to get me to stop talking so I simply hang up the phone. Why is a grown man trying to yell at me? I call the next day and luckily get a nice young lady who offers help instead of just telling me to pay. Simply just get a friend to come unlock the gate since I'm not in state. I get a friend to help me out but unfortunately the system no longer has me as an occupant so my code is expired therefore my friend can't get it. Funny they want me to pay when the system itself already has me locked out. I'm so busy with moving I don't call. Few days later I get a very passive aggressive call from Michael saying my account is past due. I inform him I attempted to get a friend to open the gate but the system registered me as moved out therefore they didn't have access. He says "Okay I'm just calling to let you know your unit is past due." Did he not just hear anything I said? Instead of offering help and a solution which Managers are literally supposed to do, he says "I can't offer any advice or help you until your account is up to date." At this point Michael is just being petty and difficult to work with. This is the same store manager who did NOT give me any move out instructions. When I reiterate that I can't remove the lock because I'm no longer in state he again tells me he can't help until I pay. I tell him in not paying because I moved out over a month ago. He then says "okay well I'm sending your bill to collections." at this point I'm getting nowhere with this guy so I asked to speak to a district manager. Within 10 minutes of hanging up the phone with Michael, I get a call from the district manager who offers me a very simple solution, sign an electronic form. Why couldn't Michael do that? He was literally just making it impossible for me to move out and giving me a really hard time for no reason at all. I expect this behavior from a teen worker, not a grown man. Michael should not have the manager title.
