This storage facility has gone down hill the past few years. We had our unit for over 2 years, at the 2 year mark they raised the price over $50 a month, which is common for Public Storage from what I read online on various forums. The past few months we noticed rat droppings and urine in our unit and around various items. We found a new storage facility and began moving items away from this rat infested storage facility. While moving items, we shifted some bags of clothing and two rats jumped out of the bags and ran around the unit and squeeze through the corner into another unit. We just trashed the remainder of the items in the storage unit since it was all damaged and infested. I let the front office know, they didn't care. I asked about cleaning the remaining items out and they were very unhelpful. I ended up finding a 3rd party company to come and clean the unit out to avoid paying any additional fees to Public Storage rat infested facility. Very terrible experience. Very unprofessional management in the office. We should have left sooner when we saw the pregnant worker out front smoking cigarettes all day. read more

5/21/22 I arrived at this Public Storage (PS) right before closing time. Nundee was there to assist me. She said there would be a fee to use a PS padlock. She said that there was a PS padlock already there at the unit (for me to use). I won't use their padlock, I said. No problem, I was told to drop off the PS padlock in the mail box at the front office before I leave; I replied that I have my own padlock to use. She rung me up. I paid my fees. She gave me the card with my access information on it. She kindly assisted me with entering the key code at the gate, It worked fine. And she returned to the PS office. A few seconds later I approached my storage unit, I saw my unit 605 was already locked. I quickly ran back to the business office, I knocked. I Called. I Rang . No response! I thought there was still one car parked in the lot I presumed it to be her's. I was NOT able to use the storage unit at all due to it being locked. Both doors to my unit were locked. The following day I asked for a night credit (for what I felt was a major inconvenience). She said "you came when I was closing. How was I supposed to know that it was locked?" No, credit denied. I later thought about what she said. Well, she knew I was coming over, I had a reservation, she had called my phone. It would have been considerate of her to make certain the unit I was about to rent was prepared. Personally, I felt there was attitude and no regard for a client that had just paid $300 for a storage unit. Besides a few metal screws on the floor, the unit was clean. Just to play it safe, I bought RAT BAIT because there are previous reviews of clients who had concerns about rodents. Other than that, I liked my unit, it was good. I intended to store there for several months. I simply felt dissatisfaction with how I was treated and I eventually withdrew. I would do business again with them. However, I would strongly advice that the attendant go check the unit with you before making the purchase. Thank you. read more

We haven't used public storage before yesterday. My husband and I were able to go on a Sunday with instructions to get into the gates with your app and the door. This place is rat infested. Even with renters insurance, if all of your things get destroyed (with rat feces and urine) they won't do anything about it. They claim to do biweekly pest control but that is a lie. In fact they will charge you another month while you figure out what to do with your destroyed furniture and clothes then (after telling you to discard it in their dumpster) CHARGE YOU AGAIN a fee for using dumpster. Literally the most unreal and unprofessional business I have ever used. Reporting to Better Business Bureau. Save your time, money, and belongings and store elsewhere. I went today to get my storage unit and Nundee was dealing with a difficult customer. She handled it professionally, Although she was berated by someone who Had late fees already , and he had only been there 1 month. Bless her heart, being insulted of her intelligence and the customer did not want to accept his role in the whole problem. I finally got to do my paperwork with her assistance and it went smoothly and fast. I got my belongings in and locked, and I am satisfied with level of service. This is the most dirty and unkept Public Storage out there! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! The manager Nancy is very ratchet, and very unprofessional. My unit was INFESTED with rats that tore up all of my furniture. They are supposed to be doing biweekly pest control and CLEARLY they are not!! This place is not following public health guidelines! My storage unit had a leak in the ceiling so all of my things were either wet or covered in rat droppings or eaten up by rats. It's a shame that I paid them $101 every month, and everything in the storage locker was ruined. And when I say everything....I mean EVERYTHING. So far, I am VERY pleased with this storage facility. When I entered the office, Jeffré gave me a very friendly greeting, confirmed my online reservation (at the "internet special" price), quickly reviewed the terms of my rental, and provided me with all of the information I needed to access my unit. She even pointed out that I would be able to access the property through Public Storage's mobile app. The unit and property were clean and well-kept, and the online registration process flowed easily. I do not recommend the facility. After years of storing my thing and spending thousands. I was treated disrespectfully after I evacuated my things. First of all I could not take everything because it had rat droppings an pee all over it so I threw away those things in their over flowed dumpster and set a few things beside it. Mind you there were couches and other things from other people there, and others putting things there as well. I was called by April the next day rudely, who had given me till the end of the day to pick through the dumpster to get my things that I had thrown away or be charged 500.00 dollars. I asked was it in the contract and she said "no", but the over flowed dumpster was for their use only. So they charged me plus another month of rent. I called back and spoke to a Brandy at the district office, who giggled through the whole conversation and said it wasn't a lot of money and that it costs them way more to have someone to pick the trash up. If you have issues go directly to BBB I am. No one told me that the dumpster was off limits and there is nothing in the contract about it per April. So after years of my business, thousands of dollars and damaged property Im expected to pay for using the trash can. read more

I have been here a couple years, I even stepped up my unit to a larger one. My increase over the last 2 years has gone from just under $200 to $330. I got the same unit down the street for $159. Plus, the roll up doors are always broken; they leave the door open all day. Last time just the exit door was broken so there was only 1 way in and 1 way out. Ever since the new company bought them it's been a nightmare. I don't recommend going there. Plus, they are hardly in the office and are not very personable. read more

I wish I could provide a ZERO star review but it won't allow it. I am a former tenant of nearly seven years and finally moved out recently due to the epic rodent issue they can not seem to control. Specifically, the majority of my materials are contained in plastic boxes. Each time I would access my unit (not often, maybe once every three months) I would find most every horizontal surface covered in rodent feces and urine. I would find bite marks in cardboard boxes and the fabric of my pop-up tents (no I did not keep food in my unit, yuck!). Further, my unit was hit by a vehicle which caused me not to be able to access the space until they repaired the building. While they did repair the building in less than 10 days they never fixed the façade of the building above the roll-up door until the week I moved out (it took them almost 19 months to fix it after repeated requests). The break in the façade caused rain water to access my space and thoroughly coat the plastic bins closets to the door. I actually stopped requesting the exterior repair or replacement of the security light on the building closest to my unit (never worked in 7 years) because I got no response from anyone. Onsite management would fain interest in resolving issues but they never stayed longer than two or three months to actually see any changes/repairs come to fruition. So, yeah, Public Storage at this particular location took advantage of me and I just let it be; shame on me. The final straw was a 32% jump in monthly rate to $214/mo (10x15 unit) which was $54/mo more than what they were offering new tenants on their website. Stay ghetto PS and if you want a decent, clean space then I would suggest the nearby U-Store on Broadway (a bit more expensive but seems like competent folks are running the facility). read more
