I've seen many great reviews about this location, but unfortunately, my encounter with Aime today completely turned me off. As a result, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I'll admit--I lost my cool on the phone, and I apologize for that. However, the lack of empathy I received regarding my storage unit situation was incredibly frustrating. I just returned from deployment, only to find mice droppings and mold on my baby's toys, car seat, and other belongings. I followed the proper procedures and filed a claim with the insurance company, and today, I was simply trying to follow up and ask about switching units. We had only briefly interacted over the phone to schedule an inspection of the unit, so I was surprised by how cold and dismissive her attitude was--both on the phone and in person. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just a bit of understanding for what I was dealing with. Everyone has rough days, and I get that. But I felt like I was being brushed off and treated like an inconvenience, when all I wanted was a professional conversation and a chance to be heard. Thank you for housing my belongings over the past 10 months, but I won't be continuing my service here. Based on this experience, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this location to anyone read more

I moved my boxes to this storage unit within 2 months they raised my rent 40.00 dollar - no reason why. I will be moving out as soon as I get an opportunity. It's too cold right now. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I normally don't give reviews, but everyone needs to know the scam they are pulling. I would really like to give them a zero rating! read more

I love having the rent go up every 6 months for no reason. I had a bees nest above my unit. 3 different people I told about it. One told me there was nothing they could do. The other 2 "looked into it". A year later that nest is still there. You can raise my rent but can't perform maintenance. Also I moved out and they are still trying to bill me. I think it's ridiculous. Go anywhere else. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. This place is a scam. They give you the promotional rate for a couple months and then jack up the price. The units are poorly taken care of. The office is no help. Also, when your ready to move out, don't move out earlier than when your billing cycle ends. They don't give any kind of credit for the rest of the month that you're not there. This is an absolute horrible business. And when you need help or have questions there's no one to contact. read more

I rented a unit from them around June and in November they raised my rent 25%!! I called and asked about this and was told the company was raising rents. I asked why so much in such a short time and was told it was a company decision. I saw this was going on with many of their customers and was replying to someone else that was asking about the increase on their Facebook page and my comments were removed and I was blocked. the more I read reviews the more I see this is the norm for this company. read more

I have rented at Public Storage twice, and have had only good experiences with all of their services. The units are clean and accessible. The people that work there are professional and helpful. I looked at other storage areas, including one closer to my house, but Public Storage was much more reasonably priced. read more

I agree with the other reviews that I have read with a one star rating. I have been in this storage space for two years. My rental rate has gone up three times and I expecting the forth increase anytime now. There is no reason for the increase in rate as they do not use this for improvements to the facility. Some of the door to the buildings don't close completely, lighting in the place is extremely poor. There is trash all around the dumpsters. If I had the extra funds I would have moved out of this facility a year and a half ago. I highly recommend finding another location for your storage needs. read more

After reading one of the most recent reviews from Angel M., I entirely agree with him 100%, regarding how public storage make the 10% change every year or sooner. I am from Texas and in need of a storage facility for my personals items. However, I was told the first month was for one dollar, but end up paying the first month for insurance which was a fee of eighty-something. which was no problem; I have been in this area for 1 1/2 years; the storage fee has been raised three times with a 10% increase. The only thing I can do at this point is to report them to the better business bureau. My advice to anyone that is searching for suitable storage for their items should seek elsewhere. I was in need of a storage facility back in 2013 because I was selling my home. I checked this place out and it looked like a decent place. I put my stuff away and everything seemed fine. I wasn't expecting to have my things there for very long, but after about nine months, I noticed my monthly fee went up. I haven't been there a year and they are already charging me an extra 10%? I called the rental office to ask why the increase and the office person didn't know anything about it. It's now been a year and a half, and my fee went up another 10%! Not to mention this facility won't rent u a space unless you have renters insurance for the unit. At first it seemed like a good ideas but it turned out to be a greedy and money hungry establishment. My advice to anyone in the greater Enfield, CT area is take your business somewhere else, possibly a small private storage facility. The people in the office at Public Storage don't really have any involvement in the process, they're just employees doing their job. I have never been late, or missed a payment and yet my rental fee continues to go up. They don't offer any additional space, they just keep raising my fee. My sincere advice for anyone looking for a good experience renting a storage unit, don't be fooled by a nice introductory offer. Do some homework, and take your business to a better facility.
