Good Lord - I know better than to use a business without considering reviews, but I jumped on this because it was so convenient and boy do I regret it! We got our unit on-line (easy to set up) and moved 1load into our 2nd floor unit. We noticed at the time that only 1 elevator was working and the other was just filthy and torn up- and yet we ignored the red flags. On the second trip on the day, neither elevator would work. We are now on Day 2.... stuff sitting in the back of our truck in a parking garage overnight and still NO ELEVATOR. Like most people who are moving, we are on a pretty tight schedule and this is not part of the plan. After multiple calls, we finally spoke to someone - no first floor units available at this facility so they're checking others. Great. Maybe we can get a unit at another facility, further from us, AND we will have to move our first load a second time.... Once the elevator is fixed. I'm giving an extra star here because of the code to get in the doors and the code to use (or attempt to use) the elevators. AVOID!! read more

Stay as far away from this place as you can get! My unit was robbed and all of the surveillance video "mysteriously" disappeared. It was well-known at the time that several other units had been robbed in this same location, so much so that an article appeared in the Fort Worth Star Telegram about the thefts. I don't have proof, but the main employee I dealt with felt very shady to me. Lesson learned: Don't ever put anything valuable in storage, ESPECIALLY this Public Storage! read more

Dealing with this storage facility has been the worst customer experience I've had in my life. Less than a month ago, my girlfriend and I rented a unit at this location. It was their largest indoor, climate-controlled unit. Before signing the rental agreement, she talked with the front office about the safety of the location, asking about the CEN rating on the locks they provided, the security at the facility, etc. We were told that the location is under 24/7 security, and we trusted the overwhelmingly positive reviews here. On Monday of this week, we were contacted at 2pm CDT and informed that both locks (a $130 ABUS padlock and the provided Public Storage disc lock) had been cut off of our unit. What is a Property Manager doing on a Monday for over five hours after the location opens if not surveying the property to ensure its safety? My girlfriend went to the location and immediately called the police. It was only then disclosed that there was a burglary. The burglars seemed to hit very specific units, all across the first, second, and third floors. They seemed to know which units to go to, despite us having only accessed the units a few times and being very discreet with how we stored things. Half of our stored belongings were stolen, and the burglars left things that did not belong to us inside of our unit. We filed a police report with the Fort Worth Police Department and did not touch the contents of our unit, as it was effectively a crime scene and in case the insurance claims examiner would need to see the condition of the unit, request specific photos, etc. Public Storage provided us with another lock and key, we placed it on the unit, and left. Today, Wednesday, my girlfriend was called and asked if we had vacated the unit. We said no. We were told the unit had no lock on it and was now completely empty. The same burglars, using the exact same way of getting inside, had now stolen the remaining half of what was in our unit, which we were not even able to touch until we heard back from the claims examiner on our first burglary. I contacted the Property Manager and was provided no explanation or help. I talked to the District Manager (Troy Galer), whose only concern was expressing to me how bothered he was over the damages that the location suffered. He wasn't even aware that the location had been burglarized, completely pretended like he understood the situation and damages. There were no alarms, no security system. We signed a rental agreement based on the promise of "24/7 security," and we were provided none. The burglars used a COAT HANGER through the single set of doors to trigger the motion sensor on the inside. It looks like all they needed was an angle grinder to cut everyone's locks. That's $30 or less worth of equipment. That's how much money and effort it takes to burglarize this entire storage facility. This location and district does not care about keeping your belongings safe. They are paid by a billion-dollar company who does not care about making it right when they've clearly wronged and victimized a customer. Everyone involved has behaved with complete negligence. There aren't even cylinder locks on the doors at this location, as there are at others, which is just a conscious decision to make the storage units less safe. My girlfriend and I have been put through extreme stress and mental fatigue due to all of this. We have lost upwards of $50,000 worth of brand new items that we were expecting to put in a new home by the end of the year. We effectively paid $300 to have $50,000 worth of our belongings stolen. It would have been easier and safer to just purchase a small shed with a real alarm system. The staff at this location do not care, the District Manager does not care, and the Fort Worth Police Department has mentioned that many burglaries have happened at this location. I have rented at other locations for years at a time and never experienced this. Stay far away. read more

The change over from All Storage to Public Storage has been a disaster. I have my rental insurance. Their forms won't allow me to use my insurance. If they checked their records, they would know because the paper is with my account info. I sent an email to request assistance. Eight days later, they said I should visit the location. I visited the site during published hours, and no one was there. All phone calls go to a voice system, and there is no way to talk to a human. I left a voicemail. I said, "I am really pissed off." I don't expect a response. I've lost the key, so I have to get the lock cut, but once I get access, I am moving my stuff somewhere else. Hey, I'm glad the local company made a big sale to a national enterprise and, hopefully, made a lot of money. I have been a customer since 2014, not the longest by a lot, but long enough to know when I am now getting screwed. read more

DO NOT rent from this location (Basswood & I35E). There is never anyone on site. You cannot reach anyone there physically, regardless of what the issue is. Customer service at this location is horrible. When I first rented, I was told I was REQUIRED to buy one of their locks for my unit. In addition, one key had to remain with them at all times. If I have a lock on my unit, it's for a reason. I absolutely would not trust leaving an "extra" key with someone here. I actually lost my set of keys to my lock, and have repeatedly tried to get someone there to cut the lock, which is supposed to be a complimentary service per Public Storage website. There is only one person who cuts locks, and they can't tell you when that person will be there, and it's only once per month! That is ridiculous. If it wasn't such a hassle to move, I'd have left this facility long ago. In addition, they will send you notices that they have put liens on your unit if you are late, and will sell your unit at auction if you've not paid within the same month due. THAT they can stay on top of! But anything related to actual customer service? Forget about it...this place is not focused on customer service or doing right by a customer. I am in real estate and constantly handle customers who have to use rental facilities while relocating or selling/buying homes. I make sure every one of my customers know to stay away from this location. A brand new building with such potential at first...Now all they have are bad reviews to go along with their bad customer service. If you're going to be a franchise owner of a Public Storage, it's probably best to either hire staff for the building, answer your phones, and take a sincere interest in providing the best customer service possible. I suspect the owner has a full time job somewhere and can't be bothered to have a fulltime person or two on staff. read more

Just started using this storage location and have had nothing but positive experiences so far. Management is friendly and on top of everything, from knowing their patrons to knowing their spaces. Our belongings arrived before the facility opened but staff had arrived early too and unlocked the door for us so we wouldn't have to keep punching in a code. We were also offered use of a push cart. Lock was provided and the space was accurately sized according to how it's portrayed on the website. I think the price is reasonable and came with a discount. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

The onsite property manager at the north Fort Worth location is exceptional. She has been with me since I first rented from All Storage in 2017. She works hard and is professional, courteous, and personable. Because of her, it is difficult for me to write a review with a negative tone. However, even toward the end of All Storage ownership of the facility, it became difficult to get through to her. Call centers would answer and send messages. With Public Storage, this issue has only become worse. it is obvious that the corporation does not want clients calling facilities. In order to save money, they have opted for an impersonal approach that carves their finest asset, i.e.. the property manager out of the equation. As other reviewers have mentioned, Public Storage has taken this to the extreme by charging longstanding clientele with a monthly fee for insurance. I have always carried the insurance through my personal agency, but for the last several months, I have been double insured through a $15.00 fee to some company called Orange Door. Evidently this is part of the new lease agreement when Public Storage bought out All Storage. It must be specifically declined in order to avoid this additional cost. Yes, I signed it without catching the loophole, and I take total responsibility. However, at the very least, it is not a best practice. Even the onsite property managers don't have access to change it. The renter must take the time to create an online account, navigate it, and confirm that the unwanted insurance is removed. While we are In historical bout of inflation, and it is reasonable to expect some pretty significant rate hikes, the amount I budget for the same storage unit has increase approximately 60% over the last 5 years. In other words, the corporation simultaneously promotes this steady uptick while demanding more of the consumer. i realize much of this is the nature of the industry, but before taking the bait of a low introductory rate with this corporation, buyer beware! read more

Poor customer service since opening and previous mgr gone. No one is in the office majority of the time. If they are on the ground they never carry a potable phone, so calling the phone number on the door is useless because there is no one in the office to answer the dang phone. Leave a msg & expect a call back, don't bother, they rarely bother to call back! You can't use the dolly without checking it out via the office THAT NO ONE IS PRESENT IN OFFICE so you can check out a dolly and IF your-lucky to catch someone in office to check out a dolly that you have to sign out for, there won't be anyone in the office to return the dolly, because they require you to check the dolly back in when done! You can wait hours sitting outside waiting for someone to be in the office!! Poor customer service all around. Oh and if your late besides the $20 late fee, expect an email already that they have your unit on Lien for auction before even 30 days late!! BAD BUSINESS!! Take your things to Extra Space storage where multiple 6 carts are available all the time unless in use. If mgmt leave the office to do their security walk about-they carry on them a potable phone to be available to answer calls immediately. There will be a sign on door of the number to reach them always during business hours, they'll answer no matter where they are in the bldg, so if your at the facility they can tell you they'll meet you at the office in 5min or so. We've wasted more time sitting waiting (hours) for mgmt staff at This Public Storage just for someone to be in office, because NO ONE is reachable nor anyone is rarely ever in the office! Maybe they are getting paid to sleep in another location not working to help customers !! Again, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AT THIS LOCATION !! Don't waste your time! The App is a joke! Constant payment glitches . So when you think you hit send payment it just refers you back to the beginning. 3 months now they haven't fixed that glitch with their app or website!! Oh and they WILL CUT UR LOCK 2 wks into being late, so they can look through your storage items. For a newer location they have more complaints than positive. I was here for over 15 years and had no plans to move. This property was the best experience I ever had until PUBLIC STORAGE took over then it all went down hill very quickly. We we're planning to remove our stuff two days before our billing date but had questions about the logistics of actually closing our account, confirming we were out, etc. and could not get ahold of anyone via phone. We went to pack up and the exit gate didn't work, so we had to leave through the busy entrance gate. We were crunched for time and didn't have time to go into the office so tried calling and couldn't get anyone. Went back the next day to get something we decided to leave since we still didn't know if we had to check out in person. No one was in the office, it was locked, and no sign re: closed for the day, hour, or few minutes. Called the 800-number and customer service couldn't find the location in the system!! Their own location. our call was transferred to another location and the gal couldn't find us in the system. We were told that if we had the lock and already paid through the period, not to worry about it. We went back to the site and clicked on the location phone link to try one more time and the address in the voicemail was "Presidio" instead of Tehama Ridge. The website says Tehama Ridge, so someone needs to correct that if it's the same place (we think Presidio is the cross street), and/or change the voicemail message. We left a message saying we need to confirm we're out and not get charged. Then we went to our online account to turn off autopay to prevent a charge tomorrow. This was ridiculous. Two days without being able to reach anyone, a terrible site that doesn't show the checkout steps - in a prominent place, the company can't find this location, and someone in the company can't even see an account! I hope we don't get billed and have to fight to get that resolved since just checking out was a PIA. read more

Unfortunately, I was a customer of All Storage. They were bought by Public Storage and my rental fees increased. Carts are rarely available. I've reported animal feces inside the buildings. No one responded to take care of that issue. There are other storage facilities in the southwest Fort Worth region with inside units with lower rates than Public Storage. I had confirmed my insurance with the previous owner of the storage facility a mere weeks prior to Public Storage acquiring the facility. They then began charging me for insurance - without any online opportunity to cancel when the new agreement was sent. Despite multiple calls and emails, Public Storage continues to charge me for insurance. This facility has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever. The facility is only accessible until 5:30 pm weekdays and 5 pm weekends. If you go past that, they will call the police which is ironic because the office staff will not call the police for the physical fights that have broken out inside the facility (we have witnessed a few). There is also a large homeless population that frequents the building routinely. The office hours are not posted on the office. There is seldom anyone in the office (and no they are not "on property" unless they walk to work). If trying to reach the office by phone, they often do not call back. The front entrance to the building has been broken for at least 2 months forcing everyone to drive in the exit creating chaos inside. I rented 2 units here 5 years ago before it was owned by Public Storage and had great and professional customer service. Since turning into a Public Storage facility, the customer service and access hours are horrible. When I pointed out that the sign on the gate indicated access was available later than 5 pm they stuck a printed sheet inside a page protector over the other sign. (It is still there over a month later.) The only reason I give it 1 star is because 0 stars is not an option to submit a review. If you are looking for professional, convenient storage, there are many other companies with people who actually work in the office, answer the phone (even during off hours), have better access hours for those of us who work, offer a much safer environment, and are courteous towards their customers. read more

I never write yelp reviews, but at this point it is time. After they raised my rates by 35% without notice, I called to schedule a move out and understand the billing cycle. The on-line agent recommended they put in a rent reduction request on my behalf. Said it would take 72 hours. I waited, in the mean time, they billed me again for another month. Clearly the agent knew I was right up against my billing cycle and a delay of even 2 days would cause me to get billed for another month. Very mis-leading and underhanded. In the meantime, the "rent reduction request" came through and they gave me a whopping $5 off my rent. When they are still charging me almost 60% more than the same unit on an introductory rate. These guys care ZERO about customer loyalty and their existing customers. They are counting on you sign up, get comfortable, then they raise your rates and then count on you not to cancel. I would strongly recommend staying away from these guys. Other storage units locations raise their prices, but at least they are reasonable increases and "customer service" still means something. read more

I have enjoyed having several storage units at 625 Stella St. The interior of the building has always been clean & secure, and staff is friendly, particularly with the new hands-on management under Justin. The location by the interstate is really perfect for me. Other reviews did mention that rates have gone up. While that is true, it is no different at any other locations or competitors at this time of unacceptable inflation. I recently had to cancel one of my storage units I had held for several years, and Justin was super helpful. He performed a quick inspection of my unit followed by a clean move-out receipt. No games whatsoever. I would have no hesitation renting another storage unit from these people again. Highly recommended A+++ read more

We stored our RV here for more than 8 years. It was originally a different company; Public Storage bought it recently. We had no problems until then. Recently our RV was broken into. We were not notified. Management had no sympathy. "you can file a police report" is all they said. The gate is constantly broken allowing access to anyone. We were asked to relocate our storage because of remodeling. Public Storage refused to offer us any moving help even though we would have never moved to another unit unless they forced us too. My husband is a disabled Veteran, and we couldn't do it ourselves without hiring someone which we had to do, not to mention the truck we had to rent, all our money. I tried working with the new location (650 E. Bonds Ranch Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76131) Manager, Kristina, but she was would never return 7 of the calls I made to her. it started off great. It is hard to get a person if you need the dollys etc. but now the rate went up a whopping 103%. IN other words it doubled in a few short months. When I called to see why it was because i had joined when it was lower occupancy and now they are at a high occupancy so it went up. That means we do not really need you anymore if you do not like it. As a customer service professional I understand supply and demand but don't screw over those who were there for you. It is really sad how Public Storage ruined a great All Storage facility. We were warned via letter about rate increases which were about 35%. The facility is now dirty, never cleaned, never can find a good cart, etc. The office was always closed and when you called the phone number, you had to leave a message. No one ever calls you back. I called to cancel and found I could only speak with a real person if I indicated I wanted to rent. The agent then gave me the "unpublished" phone number to get the front office for my specific unit. The message was different, and I left one. Again, no one called me back, but my app indicated they received my message and had my move-out date input. Wow- no one ever called. Then to be told it will take 3 to 5 days to get a refund or maybe longer and having to make special trip during business hours is not very friendly. You need to rethink this marketing strategy. This is the worst storage place ever made save your money and go else where. Every month the rent goes up I went from paying 19.99 to 60.00 a month for the same exact storage space. Very very unethical I would say. And then on top of that my code never ever works and the staff at the front desk are completely useless. Honestly don't even know how this place is still in business with the way that it is ran. Also staff is very rude and make as if you are an inconvenience to them when it's their fault the code is not working to begin with. Also feel that they are very very racist.
