If I could give 0 stars I would. Called their "customer service" line and woman who answered was of no help. Location does not have updated hours posted anywhere. Gate sign read 6-9 daily. Today was our move in day and We planned our whole move (rented vehicle, called friends,etc.) on the hours the gate has listed. Living in the age of misinformation, I would imagine that the location, and albeit corporate office would make sure that the hours are consistent throughout all mediums (internet and physical location). Now we have to spend more money extending the rental all because this company (or location) cannot coordinate something so simple. Adding insult to injury the office closed earlier than 5. Managed to catch the "property manager" (or who I assumed to be) and try explain the situation and she held onto their narrative of the hours being updated on "google". Ok? But the sign reads they close at 9. For a long as this place claimed to be open, you would think they would update their hours of operation on all platforms at the same time. Horrible place. I found that the App is the way to go. I already knew what size unit I wanted so I went on the App and reserved one. Then I got the reservation confirmation email/text. And there was an orange box that said "complete my rental" so I clicked on it and I was able to complete my contract in 10 min and then I was given my unit # and gate code. I didn't even have to go to the office for anything -I went straight to my space and I found a clean unit with an insurance brochure and a lock right inside the door. Bad experience, I got a really expensive bed and I was between places... So paid to store it never thinking that I would get junk back. Obviously I wasn't gonna take it home, so here I am sleeping on the sofa.. and this people are charging me to disposed of it ($100).. Well I went back 50 minutes later and it's gone..But I get the bill anyways. I have no bed.. Yeah forgot, I moved in on the 10th and moved out on the 2nd and they also want to charge me for the entire month. BS.... I think they are used to dealing with people out of luck and they want to steal from you on top of not keeping my items clean... There's rats traps but I thought well they are killing them. I'm will take them to small claims.. Insult after insult.. It's not Madisson fault but I got a video of her saying she stored my mattress after I left so people don't think it was a dumpster.. "all by herself". I think it might be this Alex person... I will get to the bottom of this, you enjoy my $1200 mattress pictures. tell me if you would store it in that condition for $600 and now according to Allen $800.. I laugh. read more

They took my money for a unit that i never even saw and will not give me a refund. They told me that i had to call and set a date and time to get the lock and code but it took almost a week for someone to call back By the time they got back to me, i decided not to go with them and they kept my money. Corporate keeps lying any saying that they are going to call and refund me but they have not done it yet.. I like the location, but I don't like how have to there only in there business hours which don't work for me , on there advertising is not fully honest, I was told I open rent on 2/24 , my rent I will pay the month , and it will start on the 1st of March , and the next month will be free . That is a lie , they charge a prorated fee of 50 bucks , and also you have to insurance, and the only option is there insurance with is and additional 15 bucks a month , when you 1st open business the is a 29 dollar fee , for really nothing useful , it not on there advertisements, had I know of any of this, I won't not do business with them , also there's no elevator, there's lift only read more

I have used the storage site for 7 years. Most of time, it is organized pretty neat. There was a mouse issue 4-5 years ago, the manager responded quickly and put traps and cats to prevent from happening. After that, there is no any similar problem happened. Use if you like your stuff being held prisoner. The hours here are not good if you are a working individual. 9:30am -6:00pm. When I signed up, the gate opened at 6:00am and closed at 9:00pm. Not only did they reduced the hours, they increased the rate. The last couple of times the elevator in the building was not working and I ended up hurting my back trying to get something down the stairs to my car. The driveway into this place is steep and you will likely hit the road with the bottom of your car which is evident by the deep gouges in the road. There are plenty of other storage facilities around...I would look elsewhere. read more

I moved my items into this storage unit in April of this year. I have used storage units plenty times with no issues. My move was a last minute move so I didn't have the time to stop by and review the property prior to moving my items in.....HUGE MISTAKE! RAT INFESTATION!!! DO NOT STORE HERE. I saw poison boxes everywhere when walking back to my unit. It smelled of pee but it was to late for me to store my items else where especially b/c the movers were there and ready to unload. I move out this week and I am absolutely terrified of what I will find. I move into my new home on Friday and I just ordered ALL NEW FURNITURE. I knew there was no way I was going to use my couches or mattresses no matter how well they were wrapped after they were stored in this place... just sad. I only hope that that my sons toys that are bagged up able to be thrown in a tub of bleach and soaked so he can still play with them. hopefully the rats/mice have not infested and urinated thru the boxes and bags. I pray my tv can be saved and that my other appliances as well. I am afraid to use anything b/c I don't want to bring anything into my new home that can make me or my 4 year old sick. I wont even transport anything in my car. I am renting a truck and going into the unit with gloves and a face mask on... yes...that's how bad it is. I can't believe this place is still even open. Its a health hazard and anyone who rented here should be given a HUGE DISCOUNT on their rent. SMH. I even asked the girl before moving in if rodents were a problem. Pretty bad, honestly. The customer service I've received here is terrrrible, with incredibly rude staff in the office. Someone also tried breaking into our storage unit and we were never notified by Public Storage -- only found out when we went to visit our unit and the lock was completely broken. There's also mice and/or rat droppings all over the unit. They've also changed their access hours recently apparently, but is not changed anywhere on their website (only posted on a piece of paper at the gate) and it's impossible to get a hold of them on the phone. I have kept my belongings at this public storage location for the better part of 20 years. It is not cheap. I pay $197.00 per month for a 10x10 unit. And for much of the time I have been satisfied, however in the past two years the place has changed. And not for the better. Much of the time there is no staff in the office. AS I don't live nearby, on the occasions where I had to access my unit, my code didn't work at the gate. When there is no one in the office it is very frustrating. This past weekend; Dec 3 & 4, 2016, when I arrived I noticed that the Office was boarded up and at the gate there was a crudely written sign stating "No Electricity." And to add to the frustration there was no one on site. And this was mid day both days. When I exited my car to peer into the office, It wasn't just in disarray, it was destroyed and appeared that perhaps a car had crashed into it. There was broken glass and what looked like a desk that was pulverized. I tried calling the unit office. Voice mail, the national office, no luck. I tried sending a message through the web site. What a joke. There was a line of cars with customers in the same boat, with no one on site to handle the problem. Way back when I used to keep my stuff at the Novato PS and while working in my unit somebody hit my car. It was a truck that was parked near me as it ripped off the side of my car. I went to the office to have them review their video footage, and guess what? They had no footage, those cameras are just for show. The local police were helpful in writing a report that allowed me to prevail in a lawsuit when they originally tried to decline responsibility. That's why I went here. Now that experience shouldn't reflect this location, but it does speak to Public Storage as a company. Originally there was staff on site 24/7 as they lived in an apartment above the office. It was the same good people that we dealt with, In recent years that changed, While they have updated many of the doors for each of the storage buildings; the doors leave a good inch and a half opening on the bottom allowing rats in. You can see the rat traps outside everywhere, and in the doorways, however the vermin are in the units themselves as there were droppings on top of the Rubbermaid bins in my unit last week when I went to retrieve my Christmas tree and accessories. It took a couple of tries to get my gate code to work. And as the gate opened two cars followed me in. Nice. I just don't feel that secure at this location. Now that the office is in shambles I would bet the farm that there is no video security, that is, if there ever really was. There are other better alternatives to this place, and most of them are cheaper. But what a hassle it will be for me to do this. But this is what I have to do. Because this Public Storage is simply not safe. And there appears to be no desire to be responsive to the needs of the customer. And that's the bottom line for me. Update: I went by again later this afternoon and there was 2 dozen people waiting to get in. Many had vans and pick up trucks filled to the max. There was still no one on duty, no signage telling people that they would not be open. I found it interesting that they chain locked the gates so people could not bypass. In speaking with a couple of other frustrated customers I discovered that besides the rats they also discovered cockroaches. Yaech....I can't wait to get out. read more

This facility is really old. The elevator that gets your items to the 2nd floor is very small and makes it harder to get your equipment upstairs. I am only giving this storage unit 2 stars because Andrea who assisted me was a huge sweetheart. Other then that this property got broken during my stay and the walls plus the doors are bent. One of the managers told my authorized user information that should have been told to the account holder. But I never received a called. We got told that there had been a break into one of the units and that our code was used on the day of the break ins. Our unit is directly in the isle with the camera facing right at it. There was not evidence shown to us proving that we had been the ones to do the break in. But we got told to be off and out the property by the 25th of this month. When I spoke with Andrea about the situation she didn't know what I was talking about when I told her what I had been told. I am now out of the unit, and will not go back. I refuse to be accused of such actions when I have rented previously at other properties during my moves and didn't need any extra stress on my move. read more

Told the young lady what I needed and she walked me through the whole process in less than 20 minutes . she answered all my questions and concerns. I left very satisfied. Especially learning in the end she was the on site manager there. I feel my things will be a bit safer than last unit I rented at another location. I can't even being to say how amazing of a person Amber is. She went above and beyond for my good friend who had to move back to Hawaii due to a family emergency. She was so patient with us. The storage closed at 6 and we got there right at 6 and she gave us the opportunity to load everything into the storage even though the storage was closed. I can't explain how much that meant to us. My friend has a flight in the morning and there was just no other day but today to get everything in storage. Amber is that employee that every company would want to have. A rating of one star is actually being generous. I am so upset right now. Public Storage units are not cheap. I had one of the smallest ones, and paid $150 a month for it. For a long time. Which is insane but that's another story. I finally decided to evacuate, and to my dismay, my unit had a rat and roach infestation. It was the grossest thing I have ever seen. All of my furniture was scratched and torn up by rats I'm assuming and there was rat droppings everywhere. I also saw roaches in the unit. I had planned to donate my stuff to Salvation Army but when I saw the condition of it, I knew they wouldn't accept it and frankly, I would be ashamed to try to even donate it so I cancelled the pickup. I spoke with the district manager, and told her that I needed for the unit to be cleared out and that I didn't feel I should have to pay for it. In my opinion it was unsafe to even enter the unit! It smelled so bad! She did NOT agree, and I thought that I was being extremely reasonable in not asking for a refund for all of the months that I had paid for what has turned out to be a rat and roach motel! I am so mad. The worst part is, it seems that this is just a normal part of doing business for them. Like it wasn't a big deal or surprising that they had a rat infestation. Be warned, they apparently do not do anything to safeguard against rats or roaches, and they HAVE to know that they have a rat problem. Before I even opened my unit I could smell it! I have never had such a horrible experience with any company. All of my stuff is ruined because of their negligence, and they have the nerve to ask me to pay to clear it out when it's in such a state that I would rather DIEE than go in there. Honestly it was so gross, I feel they shouldn't even WANT me to clear it out because I could be attacked by a rat/whatever other animals are residing in there, and that could lead to a lawsuit. But they probably have some shady way to get out of that too - I tried talking to someone else, and she was like "well, your contract says you are storing at your own risk". I am not taking this sitting down and they are going to wish they paid for me to clear it out. I'm just so mad... what if I had actually wanted to use this stuff? I mean that's kind of the reason people pay so much to store their stuff. They do not pay and pay month after month for stuff that will be garbage when they are ready to take it out! read more
