The manager Josh is the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. I've been at this facility for over 20 years and in the last 2 years the rent has been increased substantially and lately it seems every six months. I've called and emailed customer service and have not received any response at all. I hoped for better customer service but I guess loyalty doesn't mean anything to Storage Pro. I have found another storage facility in the same area for a substantially lower price. Again, the onsite manager Josh has been great. The corporate customer service terrible.

ZippGo rents you a certain amount of boxes based on how many rooms/square feet you are moving, and they deliver the boxes to your address, you use them for a move, and they pick them up at the new address. It was easy to schedule and make sure the drop off and pickup worked at an appropriate time. The boxes themselves are sturdy plastic, and the top interlocks so you don't need any packing tape. The boxes fit on top of each other which makes them easy to stack and move. You can also pick box inserts that are designed for plates and glassware which made it so easy to move these items. I would recommend ZippGo in a heartbeat- it made our move faster, easier, and more eco friendly too!

They threw away my stuff by "accident." AVOID…read more I rented a unit this past Monday, because I needed to start moving my stuff out of a very bad living situation. I brought all my most precious and important items there, first. It's now Saturday, and apparently, they accidentally had my unit still marked as vacant, and assumed the four boxes, five bins, and giant bag I just put in over the last few days, was all abandoned by a previous tenant, and they "discarded" it, to rent the unit to someone else. The only employee on site called the one who actually rented me the unit, who screwed up, named Nae. Nae said she was going to call the area manager, and call right back. We stood there for an hour. No callback - which is a huge middle finger to that employee who was onsite, too, leaving her in the crossfire with no answers. The area manager, Anjuli, finally emailed me after the facility was closed and I had already gone home, to tell me that my stuff was all gone, refusing to elaborate on how it was "discarded," and basically dismissing the issue to be dealt with on Monday. Avoid this place like the plague. And Anjuli - you need to make this right and give me every single detail of where my stuff went, NOW.

We sent our kitchen assembly instructions ahead of time to make sure they were aware. My overall sense is that Carlos is fairly capable and experienced but either his team or him are not as careful as we had damages to our finished wood toe kicks and our lacquer cabinets looked like they had been dragged over nails as they were being assembled. I didn't appreciate that they made 0 mention of it at all and I had to point it out. As the homeowner, I essentially had to baby sit them for 5 days through the install since it felt like they were incapable / unwilling to read the kitchen cabinet installation instructions in detail and I caught several mistakes early on during the cabinet assembly that made me hesitant to leave it unattended. Carlos's attitude was particularly bad through the entire experience as well. Always made it seem like we were inconveniencing him or being too nit picky even if we caught some mistakes. At one point, he even threatened to quit after the assembly but before the installation simply because he had underestimated the complexity of the project. We did have a 1 day delay due to some plumbing / electrical issues but that's pretty typical as far as kitchen cabinet installations go AFAIK. In the end, they were able to get all the kitchen cabinets installed, albeit with a lot of effort from my end due to the more custom nature of the project. The price was affordable and the work was solid (minus the scratches) but for me the bad attitude wasn't worth it.

This is poor business on the part of the shop hanging up on me and not wanting to talk to me about serious problems with another power unit. This happened on the phone at 1:25pm April 22, 2024. When I called the truck rental store and they transferred to the shop and a Woman has picked up and was just rude with me.

As far as storage facilities are concerned I have 2 extra space storages. One in California and one in Colorado where I currently live. They're both 5x10 storage units. Same company, same size, different states and totally different monthly rates. My Colorado storage unit is only $65 a month. Whereas my California unit started off at $75 a month in 2018 and is now costing me $220 a month. Which is, to me, highway robbery and just ridiculously greedy. The only bright spot about my California storage unit is the customer service given by their assistant manager Jamison. He is amazing when dealing with customers especially the irate, not so nice ones. His people skills, patience and professionalism gives him the ability to ease any tensions that the customers may have, which diffuses the situation and allows him to rise above the fray during confrontations to be able to then help the customer resolve any and all concerns/problems that they may have. He is the one who rented me my storage unit and since 2018 he has been consistent with the monthly courtesy call that let's me know when my payment grace period is up and when the late fee will kick in. He has NOT missed making that call to me every month since 2018. He is a great listener, fact finder, problem resolver and, to me, a customer service superhero. In a world where customer service is becoming bleak it's great to see someone who embraces what it means to service the customer with integrity, honesty, respect and with a smile. I was trying to get se things out I didn't want to keep and I was speaking with multiple staff (none return ur call and all of them don't know how much). I was quoted $100 for move out fees then $250 by two other people (ann at this location was one of them). I moved my things so I find to we the fee and public storage still billed me an extra $100 fee for moving out. U guys are shady to your customers and your prices are theft worthy. They were asking me to keep my unit and they'd charge me $120 less a month. Seriously I'm paying $500 but your willing to charge less but not give me a smaller unit. My cousin was also treated poorly find a unit with actual people on site who care.

The Castro Valley Hayward Storage two doors down is theirs too, pretty much the same but building was built later so amenities slightly newer (1990's though), has way more storage units available.
