Jamison was amazing! I signed up for storage at the Alameda Clement location which they told me that insurance was a requirement to rent a storage room.. so i went through with the process. I came to find out that was NOT the case. Insurance is OPTIONAL not a Requirement. I came to this location and explained my situation with Jamison and he easily helped me with my situation. I am treated as a friend by the staff. They always remember my name. When I went online to buy the space they had the best prices. The office manager called me almost immediately to discuss my needs. I had to switch to a larger unit and they made it the easiest process with very minimal cost increase. Always helpful, always respectful and the place is immaculate. Integrity for honesty and communication are stellar. Thy even ask me how my business is doing! Every time! I have friends that have storage at other facilities and the people that run them are tweakers that steal stuff from the units. I am happy I found these guys at this place. It just wouldn't happen here. I would have given 5 stars but the weekend I was moving I left the facility 3 seconds past 10pm and got locked out until Monday when I could speak with someone in the office. This extra space is probably the worst place you can rent storage space almost every three months without failure they raise the rates so if you want storage space that is short short term fine, but not if you want to rent a space for more than 6 months because they will continue to raise the rates and raise the rates I can hardly wait to get my stuff out of here. Unless you're storing something that is extremely valuable then I would not recommend this place to anyone, Because by the time you get your stuff out of here it will cost you more than what all this stuff is worth. read more

I did have another storage facility that i was using, that was until I seen the newly opened Extra Space Storage as I drove down Washington Avenue. My husband and I stopped and went in and met with the manager whom was very friendly and helped us out. He showed us the unit, we got the drive-up unit outside. Their prices were a bit lower than the other but the facility itself was clean. Which is what I really liked. When I showed up I realized quickly that the space I reserved wouldn't be large enough so I asked if it was possible to switch, they had no issue with that and found me an adequate space quickly and painlessly. Another user on here said that they were forced to buy insurance, I did not have a similar experience. This place was absolutely no pressure and the manager (I think he is the manager) was always really nice to me.
