Storage is big business in Florida! Everywhere it seems space is compromised. If you have a room or a little condo or your in between places you may have the need for a safe place to store things. Florida has warm weather but since you can't dig too deep on this sandbar there are no basements or cellars which in other parts of the country typically house all the collected junk. These Public Storage facilities are everywhere in Florida. Owning one is like being able to print money! That said when you have emotional attachment to objects and you can't fathom dumping them to Goodwill or the dumpster, you're hooked. You know at some point you have to cut the ties and move it or lose it as the costs add up. In retrospect I should have cut ties with most of the things in storage by now as it's been a couple of years at 185 a month. Let's see that's 185 x 12 = 2250 x 2 Wow I could have shipped this up north by freight 4 times over! Thats my bad but with regard to the place the service is just as advertised. Nobody twists your arm They have raised pricing a couple of times..because they can I suppose. I will say your precious stuff or junk lol is secure in air-conditioned bins accessible 24-7-365 if that matters. These places do have an important role in your life should you need them but just keep me in mind that every month when you make your payment, you're going to say damn it I need to clean it out already! read more

The storage at 7480 S Military Trail, Boynton Beach, Fl is the worst. There are a lot of rats. They chewed all my shoes, purses, clothes, and furnitures. Orange insurance on their behalf wants to compensate me with $250 and take 100 deductible. It can not even buy 3 shoes for me. I am beyond devasted. My birthdays and graduation cards given to me by my loved ones are all gone. I am still waiting on the district managers to contact me. Please do better, these are people's belongings that they trusted yall with. If corporate and employees dont care then do not own a business to store people's stuff. read more

Rats in the inside unit, lots of them , the office knows about but they just don't care , in fact they raised my rent from $240 to 370 with 30 day notice . Once you are an established long term good paying customer they assume I'm Too lazy to move. The cost of rats chewing thru plastic has cost me enough already. Rent has has more than doubled to $346 (taxes included). They call it market adjustments every 6 months. Yes. the same units are advertised online for $151 and $176/mo. You are also forced to buy insurance; not allowed to sign a waiver of liability. Terrible operation, will look for a new unit. read more

Easy checkin. I called one location for clarifying questions and the lady on the phone found me a better location. She even remained on the phone until I got completely checked in even when she didn't have to do that. This made the signup process run smoothly. She even called to verify information of new location. The other location followed up immediately. I looked to see if I wrote her name on my notebook so I can mention her in this review. I cleaned out my unit on June 28th and called vacated it online that day and called the property management. I thought I was going to have to contact insurance people and others to stop autopay but the woman who answered the phone assured me that everything would be taken care of by them. They have a beautiful new building and they had a lot of construction going on while I rented my space but they were extremely thoughtful of the residents and made sure that it did not cause issues. Its been a while since I have had the need to rent a storage unit but here I am. Things have changed. Things now are very technical and require a code for this & require a code for that. Me...being from the stone age am lucky I can work a cell phone. The 2 wonderful girls in the office really helped me out. They downloaded the Public Storage App, showed me how to navigate the App, helped me with both gate & elevator codes. Little by little as I used it more I became accustom to the system. I visited a public storage in Stamford Ct on Leon street. The place was impeccable. In moving to the one in lake-worth fla, I assumed it would be the same as the building in Ct, as both of them are less than a year old. Too my surprise S.Military location was dirty & only had about 4 wheelers for use to move boxes & They were also dirty & grimy. When I asked a employee about the debris that was there for a couple of days she indicated they only have 2 employees. Both bathrooms were out of order & when I went to the office there were 3 women, 1on the phone & the other 2 sitting around. I advised them the facilities were out of order & if I could use there's in office. They were very hesitant, but did say it would only be for a one time only. Movers needed to wash there hands & had no access to the facilities & the office personnel did not seem to care. There was also a bottle by the 3rd floor elevator that had urine in it, truly disgusting. I hope that this will help you direct your staff to do there job in representing public storage as it should be. read more

this location is unethical and not interested in helping customesrs. i cleared out my unit as agreed in advance in july 30 unit was left open and empty. office opened late on saturday and did not answer phone later in the day (they said later they were out cleaning) subsequently i asked if they closed my account they always say they will get back to me but never do. three weeks later they still havent closed account and are billing me. do not go here there are lots of other storage options this location is poorly managed and unwilling to treat customers properly. they refuse to resolve the issue even though the unit has been vacant now for two weeks. read more

The units are great, but the front office is a scam. They offer you one rate and then change the monthly fee.

The Unit has only 2 access doors on a 4 sided building with very limited unloading areas outside of the 2 loading entrances. There are very few carts to assist in loading and unloading. There are no signs pointing you in the direction of your unit,and the units are not in numerical order. The hallways are extremely narrow as well. read more

The erental procedure was so easy to follow. I have never rented a storage unit before but after the property manager called me the day after I reserved my unit, she explained the process and that I could skip the counter and confirm everything online before getting there. The gate access hose and door key code are both emailed to you on your move in day and you can access that information from the app- very convenient & the units are very accessible. Happy with choosing the location I chose & they are expanding, making even more units for that location! read more

Initially office personnel very helpful and knowledgeable. When it came time to schedule move out appointment there was no one available in the office. Office was closed, front gate was open and no one on property to help me. Leaving front gate open giving access to anyone off the street is unsafe both for me as tenant and for stored goods. I have tried for 3 weeks to speak with someone for help to no avail. They keep passing me to another person and still no help. The DM has not returned my calls. I am desperate! read more

Dorie did a stellar job, just there are some things that the website does not mention- First, don't waste your time doing the "Quick Check In" on the website, it will take at least an hour to get a unit whether you use the web site or do it in person. Second, $23.00 do at sign in is a joke because they neglect to show the mandatory insurance fee's on the site which range from $12.00 a month to $18.00 a month - Full profit for the owner if there is no claim. An advertised unit that they rent for $54.00 will cost you nearly $100 a month after all is said and done. Of course this is after the first month at a dollar. read more

We needed temporary storage (less than 1 month) so we used Public Storage at this location. The manager Arie is super nice and the storage unit was clean. We took advantage if the 1 mo. free and basically only paid the original admin fee of $23. We were not given any hassle for canceling the unit right before the month was over. We basically got one of their larger $199/mo unit for $23, which was a great deal! If we need storage for a longer period of time, we will definitely use them again. read more

Great service!! see Jonathan he'll give you great deal on a drive up unit. He will also give you a heads up if your going to be late on a payment to help save you a late fee of $20.00. Everything was good in the beginning till about 6 months later they start raising there rates $50 - $75 more a month. Then when I moved all of my things out and sent an email requesting for the unit to be closed they kept charging me for a remainder of 3 months. One of the lady that work here even saw me moving everything out and asked if I was moving out and I told her Yes. Then when I contacted them again I even offered to pay 2 of the months they charged me for when I had already moved out I just asked for the late fee to be waved and the lady I was speaking to from this location was very rude on the phone and told me no and said they have to email so I couldn't have emailed them telling them I moved out. Then told me its fine they will just put it on my credit report. I spent a lot of money renting one of there units and I will never come to this company again nor will I ever advise anyone else to use them. read more

I researched many properties before I decided on this one. Very efficient rental experience. No hidden fees. The best part of this experience was when I rented I was not ready to move in so I only put one lock on the doors so one was not locked and I immediately received a call from management stating that one door was not locked.
