The place is very large and clean and has a lot of storage facilities. Mine is on the inside so it is warm while unloading. The staff was nice and welcoming. I signed up for this place because I was told that the amount to move-in would be $25. $1 for the first month and $24 for an administration fee. When I arrived I was told these are all the fees I had to pay... $1 for the first month $24 admin fee $21.95 for their lock (by the way I had a lock from the last time I rented with them in another state, but this facility did not use that type of lock) $11.66 for insurance and taxes. I ended up paying $68.11, I was in a bit of sticker shock paying almost triple the amount I was quoted over the phone. I guess they will say anything just to get you in the door. I also asked if I HAD to get their insurance and the manager told me yes, I must have insurance. I called back later to find out that I did not have to take their insurance...i'm already covered through my own. Now I have to wait up to six weeks for a PAPER CHECK for my $11.66 refund. Public storage is a rip off. You start out with a luring in special that only lasts 2-3 months then boom out the blue they hit you with an increase because guess why, it's in their hidden contract yup that's right they put it in hidden words that they can increase without consent and all you have is less than 30 days to get ready. Yeah so now here's the 2nd fu**ing increase in less this 3 months AGAIN. Yup moved all my stuff tf out of this gouging place and what's left will be gone when my month I paid for is up. Public storage will never be worth what they charge. They got push carts that I already have since they never used to have them and so I bought one from Home Depot nice and personal and I come to clear out my storage and what do you know they bought a bunch of those same carts. read more

They never have enough carts. There is 1,000 units and today they have 2 but they will not let me use one. I arrived at 8am when the doors open, two people in the office who said " we don't open until 9:30" Are you S***ing me? Not enough carts has been a problem for the three years I have rented here. DONT STORAGE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STORAGE BROKEN INTO. Not only was my storage broken into, they refuse to communicate any information about the break in,AFTER TELLING ME, they would contact me after the investigation was over. I've been waiting 3 weeks no call. All they had to do was 2 days of camera research and find out who was/came on the 4th floor bc you only have access to your floor. They do not care about customers, MY PARENTS' ASHES WERE TAKEN. And on top of that, they've been raising my bill $10 every month, the past 3. January will be my last month here. I had a good experience at this storage facility. They could use more carts, but people keep them in their units or otherwise steal them so I get that they are locked in the office. If you go during office hours you can use them. Their app was helpful. All employees were friendly. Especially Deja, she was terrific! Customer service just doesn't happen much any more and she was great! read more

The Mukilteo location is disorganized and chaotic. No one could solve the problem that I have with autopay constantly switching off. Turns out the address I gave the attendant was entered as Mukilteo, US, instead of Mukilteo, WA. They were unable to change it from the office when the problem was finally discovered. They attached a late fee everytime it automatically switched off. Literally no one knew how to fix it. We do not recommend using this business! Linda W. read more

I had a good experience at first on 128th st in Everett with Trinity but when called back to confirm again my unit was given away as it was still available at the horrible eRental service. However when I called the center they were kind to resolve the issue which got me a better unit, heated on 1st Floor and cleaner facility in Mukilteo. When I went to the unit Kimberly was so kind in walking me through, taking time. etc. I would highlight recommend Public Storage in Mukilteo and Public Storage business to use Mukilteo, Wa. as an example. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. While I've rented here I have had my unit broken into, I've had my lock cut off for no reason, they shortened the hours without any input from their tenants so I couldn't access my belongings but today's experience was the final straw. I went in at the beginning of the month to make sure I knew how to handle the move out process. I was told all I had to do was give them 2 days notice. When I called today give notice that I was moving out I was told that I had to have everything out by the time their office closed on Sundays (when they close early). I have already arranged a truck and people to help move and I needed those 4 hours at the end of the day to make sure I'm completely out. I don't have time on Saturday as I have to work. When I told this to the woman on the phone she yelled at me. I asked her to stop yelling and she told me she was not yelling. I asked to speak to someone else and this second woman spoke over me and didn't listen to the problem I was having. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was given a name and phone number for a district person. I called and the number was the wrong number. I will make sure I will be out 4 hours earlier than planned but you can bet I will tell everyone I know to avoid Public Storage and I will NEVER rent from this terrible site again! read more

As far as being climate controlled, that's a 5 star. It's clean and air conditioned. We rented a unit on the first floor, specifically because it was on first floor. When we got to see the unit, it was on the first floor but the very last row and all the way to the end of the building. No problem right? We could use the door in the middle of the facility to cut our trip in half right? Wrong!! The door was "not in use" . That door being not in use doubled our trip. Moving a whole house into a storage unit only "allowed" is to use one cart!! which you have to leave a driver's license, we didn't have a problem leaving the license but again only one per unit. And the cart usage has to be within office hours. Staff wasn't very helpful or even cared that we had a whole house to move, it wasn't their problem are the words that were used. Not a great value for all the things you have to deal with. The unit itself was clean, secure in the building and air-conditioned which is 3 of the stars. read more

Really poor experience at Public Storage of Lynnwood. Should have moved on when I was told that I would need to make the reservation online for the unit I just looked at.. and in the 60 seconds it took to get to my car the rate increased. The overly dark hallways were even darker last fall when the power went out for several weeks. On busy days don't expect to find a cart, but do expect a fatty rate increase after you've moved in under one of their teaser rates. Great place to do business with if you enjoy being exploited. read more

The facility is newer and is clean. However, They quoted us on the website costs due at move in were 25$ but in actuality a mandatory insurance and proprietary lock are required as well as paying for a full price month on top of the 1$ month. When all was said and done our 25$ expected move in cost was $70!! It was all very shady, and felt deceptive. If there are mandatory costs at move in, they should be listed on the website so at the very least you are expecting the additional costs. read more

Once you move in, get ready to have your rent raised! I am moving out and NEVER doing business with this bait & switch company again!! I moved in 6 months ago and have been paying via auto-pay on time with no issues. I was surprised to see a rent increase of 25% on this month's withdrawal. I confirmed with the on-site manager that it is Public Storage's policy to raise rents based on rising market value in the area up to 3-4 time a year. She advised that I might be able to find a lower rent at another area Public Storage location. I also called their customer service line and was quoted a rent that is $40 cheaper than my current rent. They think that customers won't want to pay to have their stuff moved just to avoid an increase in rent. BEWARE! read more

I have no problem with the people I've dealt with here and the facility is clean and well maintained. I'm moving my stuff out because my 5x5 unit went from $19 (not an introductory rate) to $44 in less than 3 years. The first increase was $15, the last increase was 9 months later and went from $34 to $44. Not a whole lot fits into a 5x5, and I've already paid for my stuff once, I don't need to pay for it twice. Time to rethink my priorities. read more

I've used this Public Storage about 2 yrs ago and was impressed then. I am using them again and have had no problems. I had my lock from 2 yrs. ago and was able to use it again. Money saved! My only problem was I did not calculate how big a unit I needed. I upgraded and without any problems! I did sign up for their insurance but after talking to my insurance company I was able to go online under my account and withdraw from their insurance. Again money saved! The manager at the time, Babe, was very helpful in helping me get a unit close to the elevator so I wouldn't have to go to far in my loading and unloading. two weeks ago we received a call from Gary informing us that our son's unit had been broken into. We live in Texas and are unable to get there. Our son is on deployment. Gary said he would take pictures and have his district manager send email and pics for our insurance (haven't received either yet). We contacted local police and they said that this particular place had been robbed on more that one occassion. Security here leaves something to been desired. read more

This place looks great from the highway. I've driven past it many times while dealing with my parents estate nearby. Today I stopped by the office during business hours midday to inquire about rates and it was downhill from there on. First, the front door was locked and no one visible in their office. Second, there is no telephone number posted on their door signs, so calling to ask what's up was not an option. As I was leaving I discovered that their loading doors opened automatically as I passed by, so went into the part of the facility. A person whom I presumed to be janitorial staff emerged a few minutes later while I was reading their loading area signage in search of a phone number to call. When I asked whether there was someone staffing the office, the snippy response was "Yes, I am when I'm not cleaning the bathrooms" after which she unlocked the office. I inquired about storage room rates and was immediately lead down their sales path of "For how many rooms?", followed by my query about available storage room sizes, then received the response "We don't have a brochure with sizes and rates". About this time another woman walked out of the back office, glared at me and took up station at a computer terminal behind the counter. Eventually we discovered that they do have a brochure with room sizes, so I circled a few candidate sizes for the purpose of learning rates and terms. I was finally provided with rates for three of the four sizes with the caveat that "These rates are only good for today and not guaranteed because they change daily." Because of the obvious lack of customer service, the stated highly volatile rate structure and bad vibe from the two persons on the premise I will avoid further interaction with the business. Your mileage may vary, but my impression is this is a business to avoid. read more

Would not recommend Public Storage! I rented a unit on a special rate and was told 3 times by different people that the rate was good as long as I had the unit. I just received a notice of a $50 per month increase so I called them and they could care less about what their employees had said. Really bad way to run a company so beware of what you're told!
