My unit was the worst. I moved in at 9pm so there was nothing I could do about it on move in day.The light didn't even work. I had hired help so I had to move in. The walls were damaged with all types of holes the overhead is completely gross to look up at all type of webs and nests. Coming in to visit my unit there's always mouse droppings on top of my boxes. Plenty of it too. Finally got everything lined up to move out to somewhere climate controlled. Told the office manager about it she wasn't concerned I'm sure because she already knew they had this issue. I wish I could upload an audio file about the office manager she's something else. Don't do it, they're expensive for nothing at all there are a couple climate controlled on the same main street. read more

I am not sure why people and AI overview on Google has mixed reviews. This place is past rentable. If your storage is outside than you might not have problems. But if you are in the inside you are at a grand loss. I rented 11/9/24 had to go back home to Dallas, was only gone to weeks, upon my return lost all my clothes was in unit H56 I thought it was a racoon. But dead rats in my clothes which where in bags on hangers, they where dead the smell so bad, maggots everywhere Gladys the manager was cleaning it up and could barely stand it. I got the city involved and it has been ongoing. They get good reviews to mask and bury the bad and truthful ones. They sweep up the rat poop so tenants and rental prospects will not know. I found out this has been an ongoing problem since 2019. The insurance will mot cover it. The city of norfolk is still doing their due diligence to make them rectify this infestation and it is. Renting from this place is loosing everything you own even if it's for two week. Gladys is untrustworthy. A smile of deceit. And corporate hides behind unsupported regulations on storages ivhad conversation s with them and they actually brag about it. Hardworking people loosing their valuables. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received. I was disrespected by the manager Gladys who stated that she would not open a unit for us even though I was on the access list she said it "was her policy not the company's" then proceeded to dismiss my husband in any inquiry he had. Once we left she added an additional lock to our unit without our consent. we schedule an appointment to come meet her to have a locksmith remove the lock on our unit and she failed to be present and had us waiting outside for her to show up. we contacted the district manager who was not helpful and continued to ignore my phone calls regarding the poor service we were receiving. I tried to be respectful when addressing the issues until I was dismissed. Poor customer service recommend using any other storage place. If I could rate any lower I would. read more

Rachel, Kelly and Ashley were such great help. They went out of their way to make me feel like I was the best customer of the day. Even though the office was extremely busy they took the time out to go out of the way and find a spot for my business and while doing so greeted the other customers and made them feel welcomed and comfortable until their turn. I opened a unit for someone, who evidently hasn't been paying at this point, and was trying to remove my name from said locker. Craig and the team fully understood my situation and did everything in their power to help me out! I know that they were super busy, yet he still patiently helped me out. Peeling paint, holes in the walls that have been there for YEARS. holes??? seriously that allow weather into the actual walls??? I am seriously AMAZED that the roofs do not leak given the condition of other aspects of this storage property. The good is they seem very nice in the office, so it leads me to think it is upper corporate management that does not allow proper maintenance money to be used/set aside for necessary and OBVIOUS repairs, not the workers at this site. No need to worry, I'm sure shortly once they have read this review there will be plenty of false ones just the the actual website reviews to hide their inattention to details. read more

Moved into a storage unit on April 20, and realized on April 29 that I would need a larger unit. Went and spoke with the leasing office who informed me that I could upgrade units. I'd have to pay for the new unit, then once I move out of the old I would be refunded everything except for the difference in cost. I moved out of the smaller unit and checked out with the office the same day. I was refunded the amount I paid for the first unit (the $1 deal, plus 10 days rent.) When I asked why I lost on the $1 first month deal, they researched and saw that the unit did qualify, but they'd have to follow up with their manager. They took my contact information and told me I would hear from them on Monday. After no contact, I follow up on Tuesday, to be informed that they have no record of my previous interaction, so they would have to escalate to their manager and I would hear back on Wednesday. I still don't hear from them on Wednesday, so I call back around 5pm and actually get to speak with the manager. I was informed that they did the unit upgrade incorrectly, and that their system has no way to do a refund (despite having previously being refunded once for the smaller unit.) As a way to make up for the lack of the introductory deal, the manager informs me that they would credit my account, leaving me responsible for $10.50 for June. I log into my account and see that I owe $105.00 for June, not the $10.50 Don't use them, there are so many options available within such a short distance that you don't have to deal with people lying to you, and providing inept customer service. read more

BUYER BEWARE* They lure you in with the $1.00 move in special or whatever special they offer to get you in, then in about 5-6 months they JACK UP YOUR RENT!! In my case they WENT UP ABOUT $30.00 IN ONE SWOOP!! I will be vacating their premises ASAP. This is definitely UNSCRUPULOUS practice. A SMALL increase and after maybe a YEAR would have been palpable, but this was just plain unacceptable. Their motives are full of avarice. Very disappointing to say the least. read more

I rented a unit from them for almost 2 years, I was active duty military on deployment, when i came back home, I went to my unit and found out everything I had stored was lost to weather, rain, and pests. I had a hole in my units roof, as well a broken door which was brought to there attention several times. After loosing everything I moved out of the unit March 2014, as well to another state and they continued to bill me for over a year, till i got a phone call stating i need to sign a release form. Apparently the first one was "lost" So i gladly signed a second form yet hesitant at the same time...little did I know they were not going to refund the charges that occurred because of there failed record keeping. $2,245.30 is due and they are giving me the run around because they failed to do there job properly...Im sure they were busy and nice people but still they made a mistake and wont care to fix it. Im a Veteran and at the very least, would hope they would listen to my story, so Im writing this review in hopes they can finally reach out to me and correct this error by refunding the charges that occurred without my knowledge. And lastly make sure you have in the contract a set price, as they increased the price nearly 80% , so almost double.
