This is NOT efficient, EVERY month we (my son and I have 3 units) get warned that we are overdue, either one of us or both. Have tried to correct info PS has on file and then I pay the bill. Their app is completely useless, also their website, Each month we talk with the property manager and he looks up our accounts and they are paid up!! The Alamo Heights manager is always attentive and provides great service, but business office is not available usually and very threatening about balances owed. I like the quick and easy access with the app and no code is really necessary but it is a option as well. I like the staff they are friendly and available to you when needed. The place can use a little bit of updating to the area but overall it is a clean facility. read more

Do not rent a storage unit from this place. It's a freaking ghetto. And the employees are rude ghetto trash. Rented a unit and pointed out that the light bulb was broken. The rep with whom I signed the lease said she would put in a work order to have it replaced. I went back the next weekend and it was still broken. I went to office and Ms Rose, the manager, who is the RUDEST, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL person I've ever met, said there was nothing that could be done. According to her, most of the units do not have lights. She said I should have read my contract before signing. All units are rented as is. No repairs will be made. She won't move me to another unit, either. Good thing I got the 1st month for $1 (plus an ADMINISTRATIVE FEE $24). Not renewing. STAY AWAY FROM PUBLIC STORAGE ON FREDRICKSBURG RD. I recommend Life Storage. They are friendly, clean and helpful. read more

Friendly service. Secure location. Very easy to use online application lets customers open gate without using having to use key pad. After hours Customer service is available til 10 on weekdays and 9 on Sunday via telephone. This is an important benefit that should be considered when looking for a rental it comes in handy for many reasons and is a life saver if one has ever stayed past the closing time. Access coming in and out is restricted past hours and it's a relief to know that customer service is available to unlock the gate remotely at least the times I have found my self leaving later than I was supposed to. It is not something u want to make a habit of doing they do send you an email or text reminder not to do it in the future. Customer service is helpful if there is any problem with the unit or anything at all it's pretty easy to get a resolution. In the past I have received discounted storage units from places other than Public Storage and and have experienced less than favorable outcomes and now that I am more experienced at renting units there are certain places I will never rent from again but I can't say that about Public Storage they really have exceeded my expectations and I am grateful that customer service is available to me when I need them the most. I have been a long time customer with public storage they meet all my requirements and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a unit to lease main reasons being is for the options the locations the safety and affordability as well as the convenience and service. First the good, received great deal and nice unit, Easy access. Friendly manager. The Bad, no notice price increase on $16 dollars a month. Lights have never work in unit. When asked about increase in price was told very nicely that I was still under market value for the area. Asked if I was going to get increase every 6 months was told no they normally only do it once a year. Left bad taste in my mouth. Will start looking for another place to store my things, just in case. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. There are plenty other storages with better or same pricing and less ghetto . I moved here from out of state two months ago. With that being said , I had an 18 wheeler come to the storage to drop off our belongings . The 18 wheeler could not fit in the tight sharp corners of the storage facility so we had to unload all our stuff at the end and move it by dolly to the middle of the isle where our storage was located . That was the LEAST of our problems. Once all of our stuff was unloaded (not yet in our storage) there's a man with tattoos all over his body, on his face and looks like he's on some serious drugs . He starts talking to us looking at all our stuff , asking my husband if I was his wife , telling us to "be careful before we get robbed", telling us he was an internet terrorist (whatever that is ) and just really making us feel on edge and very vulnerable considering all of our stuff is laying outside on the edge and the only two people there was my husband and I at this point . Trying to hurry and put our stuff away in the middle of August. I ended up trying to go to the office to tell the lady that there is a man living there and he won't leave us alone , but it was earlier than office hours so there was no one there . The guy was walking close us to my car window asking personal questions and totally invading our space . I ended up calling the cops and they did nothing . Pretty much talked to him and left right after . Didn't even talk to us about it ! There fore after the guy was calling us names and continued on . I went to the office when it opened to complain and the lady at the front, I believe her name is CINDY, knew about the guy living there . She even said the owner knows about the guy ! She tried to reassure me he is harmless. I was furious at this point but like I said we are new to Texas and just finished moving our stuff . So we decided to stay .During the the one in a half months I used this storage I seen multiple people entering by foot , and seems like they are living there. This was my worst experience yet since being in Texas ! Do not use this public storage ! read more

I complained about bed bugs iin the air conditioned units. The manager rose said she could not do anything and that I should have read the contract. Terrible place to store your stuff. No help from the people who work in the rental office. Don't rent from this place you will regret it the next day. Also signs of rats like the two old ones in the office . read more

My cousin had most of his expensive electronic and other items stolen from his unit from this location, they unlocked his lock he bought from them and stole it. If you have property at this location, I advise you to go inventory your belongings as soon as possible. We know the employee(s) did this and are working on a legal resolution. read more

Facilities are maintained. Clean. Personel were courtious while dealing with an upset client. Rates are higher than expected. No military or student rates. Security was a major factor in renting. Hocking insurance was a turnoff. Manager was very helpful and explained everything in detail to ensure there were not any misunderstandings. read more
