If I could put ZERO stars I would. These people steal your stuff. Don't fall for their BS. Don't use their locks. Don't tell them when you're checking out. Don't use a unit on the bottom floor, they jump on top of it and pull stuff out through the top of the wire ceiling. What a POS company they don't give a crap about your stuff. Break in happens all of the time and they do nothing. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. You would be better off donating all of your stuff to shelters since there won't be any of your things left when you come back for it. read more

Friendly staff but the place can be crazy at times. The loading dock is difficult for many drivers but can fit a large truck.

Mitchell was so helpful and amazing. I was looking for a storage in the next couple of months until my house sells and he took the time to help me even rhough I wasn't looking for immediate storage. Most people would be annoyed and I know as I'm in the customer service industry but he took his time and was kind. He asked me all the questions needed to find the perfect option for me. I'll start by saying that I haven't been there long, less than a month, but it was easy to book on-line, affordable and convenient. Yes, the building is a little rough around the edges and it's due for an upgrade, but Marie, the location manager, was very helpful and was actively keeping an eye on things. I got my things stored without any problems or delays. I had no problems with the carts, elevators, or parking and the price is what I expected to pay. What happened at this location earlier (2015) sucks, but I have faith that they have turned a corner and things are looking up. read more

Wow! Is Art ever helpful! Thoughtful, careful, and exceedingly eager to explain things clearly, he even stayed a bit after hours to get us happily settled into our unit. He was great at answering questions. He's kept up this level of concerned, cheerful customer service ever since. In fact, he was the reason that we picked this storage facility over others in the area. From the very first moment, he inspired confidence that this was an exceptionally well-run and well-maintained place. It's obvious that he takes immense pride in making customers feel at home -- genuinely a plus. This is precisely the kind of friendly, reliable local business our part of town needs. My one reservation, and one that I wish I had known going into renting with Public Storage, seemed to be a company-wide decision: the 15% discount a renter receives for going through the Public Storage website brings the monthly rate down to just above the norm for the area. So it doesn't really seem like a discount at all, as the rates at this location are quite high. We're sad about that, as the high cost probably means we will have to move our stuff elsewhere after a few months. I was surprised that there was no discount for longer-term rentals. Adjacent is such a pleasure to see when I come on the property. The facility is kept clean and I like the location.

I have been renting a unit from this self storage for about 6 months and am very happy. Recently I visited and was greeted by Babes who was extremely friendly and was a pleasure to work with as I needed to update some info. She made it very easy to get everything I needed and made me feel like I was an important customer. I was not impressed with this location. There are signs on the building stating $1 for the first month, yet there they aren't offering that promotion at this location. They also say no additional fees yet the customer is required to supply their own lock and supply renters insurance. This needs to be made clear on the website. Additionally, the building is dirty and dim and the service was terrible. read more

When I reserved online and got my unit I was told that if I needed a larger one they would give me the internet price. One week later when I needed to move to a larger unit, oops too bad, the manager Adjoa said not only not $1 first month rent, I didn't get internet price. I had to move out for 7 days to get the $1 price again. I spent an hour on my cell phone to reserve ONLINE when I was standing in their office. The doors to their lockers don't have functioning kickstands - replacements which they have at the desk but are waiting for "them to send tools" for the manager to install them. 3 months later I'm still bringing my own doorstops. All they need is a hex head screwdriver. Their carts - only 2 - are missing bolts, and emptying my locker today I had to sweep up the sawdust on the floor of the loading bay. Not the only debris there either. Customer service here was generally good except for the manager, Adjoa. Won't use this facility again. read more

If you care about your stuff for your own sake go elsewhere the place is super disgustingly dirty and the 4th floor we've been on for 9mo. smells like a rotting body (no kidding!), bldg smells of must so strongly, bring tp because there disgusting bathroom has none ever. They are not lenient in paying after the 5th of the month, we pay $144/mo which is supposed to be $114 for a 5x10 because I get paid once/mo on the 7th so unwilling to work w/ you. So glad were out finally, it was the worst experience ever but that's what you get if your hell bent on a $1 move in special...believe me that is a rip off esp. if your payday falls after the 5th, even though we paid on the 7th every single month for almost a year we were paying $30 extra every month because I couldn't until the 7th, and believe me no one at this location cares and Pulblic Storage is the only storage place I have found that has such a policy. Places I have had good experiences are Everett Mini-Storage and Metro Heated Storage right down the road from this decrepit place, they both had no problem letting you pay by the 10th or worked with me upon move in to accommodate for our payday and were ultimately way cheaper and cleaner. The staff here is extremely rude too. Paul was so rude to me after my husband had initially visited this place and was roped into a contract before I had a chance to review it, I called Paul and told him I was not ok with them charging my card until I had a chance to review the contract and he was so rude told me that if he had to credit to my card I would never be allowed to rent with Public Storage nationwide forever!! I didn't want that and it was my husbands fault he signed up without telling or understanding that we would be paying $30 in late charges for paying on the 7th, so I ultimately accepted the charge since I didn't like the idea of his threat of being banned by all Public Storages because I objected within 30 mins of my husbands call telling me how it worked there. My husband also had to take a complaint to corporate concerning the offensive behavior of the middle eastern looking woman that works there, she was completely out of line and rude when he called once to ask why they had called him 7 times to tell us we were just a couple days late!! I wish I had let Paul cancel and ban us for life as I will never do business with a Public Storage again anway. read more

The staff were unprofessional in addressing the water damage in my unit. Almost $6000 worth of possessions were covered in a thick layer of mold. When confronted I was rudely handed a flyer on how to precede next without an apology or verbal instructions. Even the guy Paul, who rented me the unit snickered in the background at my frustration. I understand the insurance goes through a third party, but the customer service I received was extremely poor. Public Storage should hire people more qualified for a customer service position. I plan on dealing with my insurance claim separately and never ever coming back to a company that was the very least sympathetic towards the damage caused by their company even if that means I'm basically leaving out of a suitcase. I was almost near tears from the loss of my goods, some dating back to my childhood. read more

Got stuck in the downstairs garage and the red buttons do not work to open the doors to get out. It was before 9pm too. I think thats kidnapping or something... This company has never heard of maintenance or safety. Heard about an awful lot of break-ins. So add unsecured to that list. The staff are friendly. We have been renting since July 2014 - May 2015. The district manager cares nothing about this place. Not enough carts was an issue so we took our own equipment. Only 1 elevator. Door mashed and not able to get in to unload. A lot of businesses including pharmacetical companies store stock here which I think should be banned. We have many times found drugs and mashed pills. It does not feel safe here and the staff can only do so much. The Shoreline Ballinger location is a much better location with auto lights, special key locks. read more

I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. The elevator got stuck on numerous occasions when we first started renting there almost a year ago, then sometime between end of September and October our unit was broken into, they had no sympathy for the ordeal, and just said to call the number provided for the insurance. Then, with only a few weeks notice they raised the rent. The last straw was when I decided to bring my belongings home, that same night, we all of a sudden had roaches, when I informed the ladies in the office, there was nothing but denial. I told them I would be leaving the rest of my stuff for them because their facility caused me to have to spend money to rid my home of the roaches and I refused to bring more roaches into my home, their response was "well, we'll have to fine you $200 for leaving stuff behind". I told them go ahead but you can't make me take more roaches to my house read more

Unfortunately, within the past year things have gone downhill again. Half the garage doors are broken and remain unrepaired for months making loading and unloading difficult. They leave the remaining two garage doors open allowing 24 hour access resulting in little security. The carts are now missing instead there are an array of grocery store carts left by the questionable characters that are known to use this location to sleep. This is a location that has a history of a lot of criminal activity. The rent on my four units keeps going up on a consistent basis and when I called into the national number I was told that it is corporate policy to increase rents over time for long term customers to encourage turnover of units. This facility is used by a lot of local small businesses because of the location but Public Storage does nothing to support those customers and many have had to leave. I will not come to this location after hours because of safety concerns. I have also had my units broken into in the past and it is just a matter of time for that to happen again while I look for alternates to this location. read more

Without exaggeration, the cutomer service I received from Tom, the property manager of this site, was excellent. Tom answered so many questions and carefully guided us through the potentially stressful process of storing our belongings. His recommendations on the type and size of unit we needed were spot on. Additionally, Tom seemed ever-available, especially around move-in time. Public's costs are more than competitive; even his assistant, Desiree, demonstrated that they work hard to make their customers feel satisfied and secure. Although the staff (especially Jolina) was fine, the place is easily broken into. DO NOT PATRONIZE this location if you value your stuff. They use padlocks which are easily cut. I was only a customer for about two weeks before several lockers (including mine) were broken into. The staff was evasive as to details on this incident--finally admitting under pressure that it wasn't the first time. It won't be the last, I am sure. Stay away. read more

If you can, go elsewhere for your storage needs. My first week moving in, my unit was broken into, and there's two pass code entries. The bay doors were somehow broken and the person got through the second passcode door, somehow broke or burned off the more than secure lock that I had on the door, and stole personal items. Then I ended up having to buy two locks from the storage unit to keep my stuff safe. Plus, the doors to the units are flimsy and not reinforced well. I'm still dealing with the insurance company that (Public Storage recommended) to get reimbursed for my lost items. Public Storage never produced any info from the cameras, proving who broke into my unit. Plus it took forever for the land lord to fix the broken bay door. And now my rent is being raised after only being there for 6 months and losing about $200-$300 of property. I politely asked management to not raise my rent due to the issues that have taken place since moving in, and their answer is that Public Storage raised rates after the first 6 months and every year thereafter. Fact of the matter is that Public Storage is a big business and can afford to work with me in keeping my rate the same in order to please a customer. I am not happy with their lack of responsibility in keeping the facility safe. Since I've been there, they have changed the pass codes two or three times, which tells me there's been other breeches in security. read more

my storage unit was broken into I had a lot of stuff stolen from me and the insurance company that Public Storage told me I had to use, I asked if i could use my own insurance company I was told no I had to use Perfect Solutions Storage insurance company, denied my claim even after the police report produced a suspect and deemed it a burglary. when I contacted the burien public storage on 1st ave the district manager was dodging my questions about why i was told i had to use there insurance company she just kept rudely repeating herself that i had to have insurance before i moved in and that is not what i was asking i know i needed insurance to move in i wanted her to tell me why i had to use there insurance company. well then i find out that they get a percentage of the premium and there is a class action suit against some of the public storage's . the whole experience has been very hard on me i lost a lot of stuff and i cant even get compensated and i cant even get any support or answers from public storage so use another storage company dont get taken by public storage and perfect solution's read more
