I had doubts about storage facilities in the Seattle Area -- many do not offer weekend access or have limited hours. Not this place. It's open 7 days a week, open till late in the evening. I came across Public Storage back in Jan. But no matter how good something looks online, it's always advisable to actually visit the site and meet the manager and staff before signing on. I was able to get to their address on Aurora Ave. It was close to my house. There is convenient and ample parking. Lena, the store manager, made me feel comfortable right away. She followed the current protocols of mask-wearing, social distancing, and use of hand sanitizer, which is available to anyone in various areas of the building. Lena is on top of her game; she really knows her business, quickly quoting unit prices, making eye-to-eye contact, and going over the steps to secure a rental from A to Z. She took the time to give me a tour of the building. Safety is always an issue, and I am glad that the facility has monitors and gated access throughout. I like that they can discount the unit if you provide your own insurance to cover property loss or damage. Their rentals are month-to-month; you are not locked into any long-term contract. There is even a public restroom in the facility. I recommended the storage to my parents primarily because of the store manager, and they now store their stuff here as well. They could not have been happier with the service they received from the manager. They took my ID and then left the premises during business hours, now I'm stranded for 30 minutes and counting. No one is here, so I'm using this wasted time I'm trapped to write this review. 1 star, for being trapped. They also need automatic doors to the first level. Overall clean and cheap, but def feels like a murder movie set. They tack on a $20 lock, so be wary of hidden fees like that. read more

This was my first time renting storage, and I chose them because they were so prompt to respond and even reached out to me. Awesome! It's been a long time since I felt the need to write a negative review but wow, this place sucks. When I first signed up just over a year ago, it seemed shiny and new and very reasonably priced. Since then I've had three monthly price hikes (it's expensive af for what you get) and the experience has gone way downhill. Recently I arrived and didn't see any carts. I was told there was only one cart per floor now. I didn't quite understand but I went to my assigned floor. No cart there. I came back and asked if I could get a cart from another floor. No. Then I realized the woman using the cart for my floor was unloading an apartment's worth of stuff in a pickup piled like eight feet high. I told the attendant and asked if she could please get me a cart from another floor considering the situation. Emphatic no. The employee told me this is strictly Public Storage policy. They cannot override it under any circumstances. I was like THAT MAKES NO SENSE. She would not budge. My car was full of stuff. I'd scheduled some time to do a drop off before another appointment. I have a herniated disc and can barely lift anything. I had to carry my stuff armload by armload. Every time I had to get stuff from my car, set it down and key in my elevator code, wait for the elevator, walk to and unlock then relock my storage unit, and repeat. It was ridiculous. I ended up unloading only about a third of my stuff and will have to try again another time with my husband to help. In addition the lobby REEKS of cigarette smoke. It's disgusting. I'm not sure I trust the security of Public Storage either now that I've seen how far it's fallen. I will be finding another storage place to store my stuff asap. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Worst business ever! My space was at 2861 Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas, TX. I moved in during December 2021. The light in the storage unit was not working. They told me there were electrical problems and it would PROBABLY be fixed at the first of the year. It's May 2022 and it's STILL not working. I made one late payment one day after due date and they charged me 50% of my monthly fee as a late charge. Horrible business! 0 out of 10 will NEVER recommended! read more

This place is just such a horrible place. The manager who called Maria is so mean, rude, disrespectful, Irresponsible。she doesn't even at her office during the work time. I lost my credit card there and lost $1400 dollars. She doesn't even care! All she said is that there's nothing she can do when it's off. And she never called her boss to see the camera footage for helping me find the suspect. Every time I need to talk to the manager, she is not at her office, she went outside for smoking, drinking coffee and chill. This place is just suck. I really hate that I choose this public storage. Was shown a unit that was significantly bigger than what I reserved. When I upgraded to a bigger unit they charged me regular rates rather than adhere to the first month $1 deal. It was reserved it just a few days ago and I was staying within the same company. Disappointed! If I didn't have to move immediately I would have cancelled all together! read more

I love the service and comfort I am provided with using this storage space. The staff makes you feel warm and welcome. I feel my belongings are safe and secure for a really good price. My questions and concerns never go unanswered. If I need to purchase boxes tape or moving blankets, etc there's never a shortage. I was shocked when they increased my rate so much after only 6 months back in August but now they are increasing it again and literally DOUBLED my rate! A 100% increase is insane. I expect to have it doubled again in a few months. So now I have to pay for a truck and get a new location or deal with their regular 100% increases. At this rate I will be paying $200 by next year for a unit the size of a hall closet. And on top of this their hours are super limited. They close at 6pm so if you work 9-5 then you don't have much availability during the week. I am shocked there aren't more bad reviews about these two things. Maybe people aren't noticing their increases? Insane. Don't get stuck at this place. Try a more local place that cares about not scamming people. read more

I was robbed at this location, in the garage, during business hours and the staff and even corporate has been NO HELP at all since. I haven't even received a call back from the district manager - I guess they don't prioritize customer safety as a pressing concern. After the robbery they had the audacity to tell me they "don't have cameras" - as if I haven't been paying all this money for "secured storage". It's complete b.s. because I could see the cameras in the garage when I simply looked up. read more

As a first time user of a storage facility I was quite surprised at the level of service. The building was clean, new and quite secure. I especially liked that the loading/unloading area was covered. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. Plus, renting online was a great benefit. I would recommend this PS facility. read more

I was pleased with my experience at Public Storage. I found them online and was able to see which storage units they had available and the price. I was able to fill out a form online, and make an appointment to come and officially rent the unit. When I arrived, I noticed how emaculate the building was kept. I was able to rent a 5x5 unit for $20 per month, on the ground floor. The person who helped me, Marie, was so nice. Plus during the who process of showing me the unit, how to access the building with a key code and filling out some electronic paperwork, she made me laugh! So unexpected. She was super nice, and she was cracking jokes that were actually funny. This was so great - especially during these times of covid-19 and the racial inequality. It was so refreshing. The place is super clean, easy to access - you can literally pull right in front of the storage unit entrance - there is tons of parking. I didn't expect to have a great experience renting a storage locker, but I actually did. Thanks so much, Marie! read more
