Upon first entering my room I realized that there was no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker and it was quite cool in the room. I went downstairs to speak to the woman behind the counter...and she told me that the "regular rooms" do not come with a fridge or microwave, you have to book the "suite" for such luxuries...my fault I should have looked at the booking more closely I suppose. I proceeded to ask about the heat and she looked at me strangely and said "Oh yeah...we don't put the heat on yet, it's not cold enough to" mind you we had mid 40's for daytime highs and mid 30's for night time lows. But she gave me....blankets! The fun didn't end there. Upon coming back from a hike I went to our bathroom and noticed the floor was all wet. I then looked up and saw water pouring out of the fan vent. I called downstairs and told her. She was surprised and said she would send someone to look at it. They came and turns out the guy on the 3rd floor overflowed his toilet. They cleaned it up with towels and when I asked if they would disinfect our bathroom as well the manager said it was unnecessary because it was "clean toilet water from the tank" Nightmare fuel Not to mention the animal piss stained carpet and black mold in the bathroom. So basically- spend the extra money and stay somewhere nice.

We were worried about the flat-screen television precariously leaning at an angle over the armoire throughout our stay. We were booked for six days, but on the third night, our stay was cut short, on account of two bed bugs crawling across the mattress. Therefore, we checked out and stayed with my parents for the rest of the trip. The gentleman at the front desk who brought us the play pen was decent and sympathetic; he directed us to work with Expedia to get our refund. Though we didn't get reimbursed for the first three nights, we did get $201 back.

My husband went inside to check in and he said that the people there were incredibly friendly. The bar was filled with locals and it seemed like a great place to just hang out. Our room was really comfortable and pretty clean.The only thing that I noted was that there were a lot of cobwebs up on the ceiling, but I know that they were pretty high up there. The room isn't anything incredibly fancy.But for the price, it seemed really reasonable. The kids slept on the futon that pulls out. The futon does block the door just a little bit whenever you pull it out, but it wasn't enough to really cause a problem. Our bed was comfortable, although there was a little bit of light shining through the curtains all night, given that it was summertime and there was so much sun out.

I always imagined B&B's to be kinda awkward and weird staying with strangers in a home. But all my assumptions were completely wrong. This place was amazing!! The home is sooo beautiful and spacious. They have 3 bedrooms downstairs with a large den area with a tv and lots of dvds. There is also a hot tub outside on the deck as well. A door is located downstairs so it makes it convenient for you to go in and out as you please. Each bedroom has a bathroom inside so you don't have to worry about sharing the bathroom with strangers. The rooms are very spacious and you really feel at home. They have complementary soaps, lotions, toothpaste and everything like a hotel. For breakfast, they print out a customized menu with your names on top. Such a nice touch! I loved it. Breakfast comes with coffee/tea and juices, fruit plate and a choice of a breakfast entree. They cook it as you order it. The owners were very friendly and made it a very comfortable stay. I would totally recommend this B&B to anymore. Differently a great experience!

This property…read morewas built specifically to function as a B&B, and it's clear that Michelle and Ron put a great deal of thought into building their home as a warm, inviting, and very functional space. We arrived a little late the first night, and were greeted by Michelle, who gave us a quick tour, taking us through the dining room on the main level, downstairs to the common sitting room from which the three guest rooms are accessed. As one example of a smart design, guests access the sitting room by way of a separate downstairs entrance, with plenty of spots for wet shoes and jackets in the entryway. (Shoes off while in the B&B!) We stayed in the Creekside Suite, which provided ample and comfortable space for us and our two adult children. Michelle made us feel welcome and right at home. As did the delicious cookies she left for us! The room was great. If we had to make any suggestion, it would be to provide some sort of movable privacy screen in the bathroom. Not needed for a couple, but would be helpful when traveling as a family. Breakfasts were fantastic, with a daily custom menu with many tempting alternatives from which to choose. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. Michelle and Ron are fabulous hosts. They are friendly and hospitable, great conversationalists, and helped us with great tips to enjoy our stay in the area. We didn't get to spend a lot of time with Bailey the dog (apparently, he's not allowed to join the guests for breakfast!), but he was out when we went up to say goodbye on our last day. He's a big, lovable teddy bear of a dog. Be careful once you start petting him--he may not let you stop! :) The Girdwood area is beautiful. We enjoyed some hiking (Winner's Creek and Virgin Creek Falls) while we were in the area, in between our other planned activities: a dog sled ride on Punchbowl Glacier, and the 26 Glacier boat tour out of Whittier. Hidden Creek B&B was the perfect home away from home for us in Girdwood, and we would definitely stay there if we are ever again fortunate enough to return to the area. Thank you, Ron and Michelle!

I was verbally abused by an employee Neil, and even threatened to be physically removed from the lobby just for voicing my concerns. That is completely unacceptable for any business, let alone a hotel where guests are supposed to feel safe and welcomed. The Wi-Fi didn't work, hot water was inconsistent, and noise made it impossible to sleep. This place is a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Stay away.

I occasionally have to fly to Anchorage or Wasilla for doctors appointments being that I live on…read morethe island of Kodiak. As you can imagine, flying to Anchorage, every few months or so, can get expensive when you have to have a hotel room and a car. One of the ways I tried to lessen the impact of the travel, is getting a package deal with a car hotel and flight. Usually I get a good deal and the hotel is nice and the car is fine, however this time the hotel was not OK. I got to the hotel and was charged early check in fee of $40, which was OK with me because I was going to take a shower and get ready for doctors appointment. However upon checking in, going up to the room, I found it was dirty and very rundown. But the worst part was they didn't even provide a real bed! Just a queen sized mattress on a camping cot frame!! I had to leave and stay t another location. Because I booked through Expedia, they couldn't refund my money. I left anyway.
