Great family restaurant. The place is clean and well run its family owned business, a great place to meet people after church, etc.. We've been a few times and have always had good servers who were friendly and very helpful at picking out items off the menu The bacon, avocado and tomato sandwich is a really good choice. They call it the BLAT. It's not a fancy place... not fine dining... not cutting edge cuisine... but it is a family friendly local gathering spot with good food. read more

First time eating here. Food was excellent, service was excellent and it's a very cute place with all old star pictures on the walls. I had a delicious cheese burger and fries. Hubby had a Cuban which is hard to find one in Anderson and he loved it. Both dishes were so big we had to take half of it home. Highly recommend. Five stars! read more

Incredible food and service. Ordered a pepperoni pizza, and my order got mixed up with an order for a gluten free pizza. So when they brought my wife's meal, they also brought me the gluten free pizza from someone else's order. I said that was fine, because I always wanted to try a gluten free pizza, and it was great. This is a great place to stop and have a meal. The staff is very friendly and will carry a conversation with you if you want. Your meal is cooked quickly and served in a short period of time. If you want Pizza no doubt this is a good place but they also have excellent other items to choose from. I had the meatloaf the other night and it was excellent. We felt Public Well Cafe was very clean and has great food, prices and customer service. We had their spaghetti and lasagna.

This was our first visit to Public Well Cafe. Everything was full of flavor and very tasty. We also had fried green tomatoes, which were good. I don't believe they were house made and a little small but still tasted good. The service was excellent. We always had drinks refilled in a timely manner. The restaurant was nice and clean and the decor is modern. I'll definitely come back for lunch or dinner to try different menu items. read more

We've been going since it opened. Of course like any other restaurant had some glitches to work out but now it's a great place to go or order out. We do pizza night every Friday and we always go there to get it! The servers are awesome and know me when I walk in the door. By the way their desserts are made in house and are fabulous!!! read more

We've visited here several times and each time is delicious. They have a wide menu from Wraps, to Italian fare. They have variety of cheesecake and desserts. We tried the blueberry cheesecake and it was very good. They were making skillet chocolate chip cookies while we were there and smelled Devine. Service was lacking to say the least. Took forever to get our order taken. Sweet tea wasn't sweet. Ordered chicken marsala, which had underseasoned & undercooked pasta and sauce that was definitely not real marsala sauce. Food took 30 minutes to finally get to us. They didn't charge us for the marsala since it was so bad. I know it sounds like a harsh review, but my husband agreed how bad it was. I didn't see any dessert on the menu either. read more

The food is lacking in some aspects as they are a very new buissness, for example the spaghetti and meatballs I ordered came with a good bit of water at the bottom as if it was a soup. The service is still a bit lacking as they don't have a way of marking certain tables to certain waiters yet, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Although one big issue I found is they have too many items on the menu, this can cause confusion for the customers and chefs. The ambiance and feel of the building is a bit lacking, it would be better if they maybe paint some pictures or buy pictures and art to place on the walls and ceiling. Overall it's a decent cafe I'm looking forward to how they change and improve over time. read more

Food is excellent but the staff needs to be trained, we also ordered another day but for pick up they close at 9 we ordered at 8:15 got there at 8:40 food was ready but the closed sign was on the chairs were up and still about 3 or more tables eating. I like the place but would not take company to eat their looks more like a cafeteria. read more

Just wanted to leave a pre-visit review since it looks like Karen has already been to the restaurant and left a 1 star review after having her meal already comped. Looking forward to supporting a local business. Going in with realistic expectations that the restaurant has just opened up and is just getting started. UPDATE Still a five-star review after our visit this evening! Our server Anastasia was very sweet and helpful. The desserts are not on the menu because they are made on a daily basis and change from day to day. Homemade by one of the staff members, and the menu clearly states to ask about what the dessert of the day is. The owner is from New Jersey and has the pizza dough shipped in fresh from new york. Got a pizza to go but haven't tried it yet. Looks and smells great though! The fried mozzarella appetizer was great! We also tried the buffalo wings and they were the best that we have had in a long time. The wings were very crispy and juicy! The wings were also very reasonably priced. I ordered the fried fish basket with tater tots and really enjoyed it! Even the tartar sauce was great. Husband enjoyed his chicken Caesar wrap and my mother-in-law enjoyed her Reuben sandwich. Local secret. This place has such good food. I liked the turkey wrap, my husband loves the build your own salad. However they are known for the pizza and lasagna, so don't blink on those yummies. It is a family favorite that we will visit regularly. read more

This is a small, clean, tastefully decorated neighborhood restaurant with reasonable prices & high quality food, a delicious surprise. The iced tea was full bodied, they also offer wine & beer. The garlic knots with marinara were outstanding. The pizza was loaded with sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and banana peppers as we ordered, very fresh and delicious. The only item that could have been better was the pizza crust, it tasted good but was a little too thin for the toppings but it was ok to eat with a knife & fork, could not pick up and eat as normally expected but nevertheless was very tasty. The many desserts were beautifully displayed, we brought home a slice of the cheese cake with pecan sauce, scrumptious, should have got two pieces, did not want to share. We will definitely be returning to try the other many menu items and I encourage anyone interested in great food to visit this delightful restaurant. read more
