I usually like grocery stores a lot, but I LOVE PUBLIX. Their BOGOs are the bestest. The first time I went to a Publix (not this one), my ex told me that you didn't have to get 2 items if it's on sale as BOGO free. I thought he was delusional, and grabbed 2 items anyway. He of course had the last laugh... The employees here are also always so friendly, and I find that to be true at any and all Publixes I've been to. The produce is always beautiful, and it's refreshing to see them do prep-work in the middle of the grocery section! Also, the deli is always fabulous (I like having a piece of meat or cheese to nom on while I wait). Sometimes the prices are a bit higher than the other store around the corner, but it is almost worth it for the experience. Also the BOGO items are sometimes ridiculously cheap--actually half off and not half off some inflated price. read more

Great store. Clean. Neatly stocked. Consistent crew and service. I'm shopping for several things at this store: my and my son's groceries; office stuff and snacks; and gifts and snacks for meetings. I can really cover a lot of ground here. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Tonight I picked up gift cards for the office and veggies for dinner and snacks for my son. Quick, easy and quick. Earlier I made other errands at Toco but the 5pm run was just Publix. It's nice that there are other stores nearby too. The parking can be crowded and traffic can be a little busy but I live close and my route doesn't take long. Somehow the Publix seems to work faster than the Kroger at the other side of Toco. read more

Today we had to put our 14 year old dog, Max, to sleep for health issues. Yesterday we wanted to do something nice for him, and my husband Andy went to Publix (Toco Hills Plaza, Decatur Georgia, Store #00773) in an attempt to find a steak or beef bone for him to enjoy for his last night. Andy was a wreck emotionally and had a tough time picking the right bone for our dog. An employee in the meats section, Jon, assisted Andy wonderfully. His assistance immensely touched and helped Andy as he was going through this difficult time. We believe that Jon went out of his way to help Andy and wanted to share our experience and our gratitude of the customer service at this Publix. I tried the shop on-line, curbside feature of this store today. It was an awesome experience! It took me about an hour yesterday to set up my first shopping cart and in all reality it was because I had a ton to purchase. I think that the first "trip" will be the longest one, they store that list for you in your account too - so if you need to grab all the essentials again- then it is ONE CLICK shopping. Nice. I scheduled my pick-up for today at 11:00 am. Scheduled! And it took less than 6 minutes! I drove up - pushed a little button and viola! a customer service agent was out to greet me. He asked my name, came back with the receipt in hand with my whole order. I was good to go. Now I do love the experience of grocery shopping. I do love walking through the aisles and comparing deals. But with a busy lifestyle of juggling my own business, a young child, home, husband . . . you get it - sometimes I just don't have the luxury of time to go to the store every week and shop for an hour and fight traffic to get back home. Sometimes, with little one in tow - it is nice to just have someone bring it on out to you. These guys have hit the mark with this. read more

If you need fixings for a picnic at Lullwater Park or a quick stop for a bathroom break after a long afternoon at the park, this Publix is your place. It's right around the corner from Lullwater, and it's impeccably clean -from the well-stocked shelves to the easy accessible bathroom. Plus, if you're just picnicking for two, they have lots of their baked goods in single serving sized containers. At $2.49 for a giant slice of delicious key lime pie (seriously, Publix makes the best key lime pie I've ever had), the prices are quite reasonable. And, if you're just stopping in to use the bathrooms and don't want to buy anything, they're right up front by the floral section, so no awkward scooting by the register without having to buy anything. I like this Publix. It offers a large selection and pretty good options for both Bakery and to-go foods. My one big issue with this place is the couple of employees that come across very prejudice. Was waiting in line for self check out and the employee spoke to the gentleman in front of me for a few minutes. She then went to speak to the older woman checking out. When it was my turn, she looked at me and went back to her post. It's a shame that in this area, that seems to be a constant. Every demographic supports this store. Not just one. Definitely one of the best Publix stores in Atlanta! Recently remodeled, this store has adequate "natural" foods as well as kosher in stock. The staff is helpful and courteous too. Despite being in a crowded plaza, the store is one of the bigger ones in the metro area. I haven't used their shop-online-curbside-pickup service, but I'm sure I'll get desperate one day. read more

Love it. This location is right at the front of my lady's neighborhood so we go here a lot. There's always tons of parking and not a real crowd inside, the express lanes are usually pretty free but they don't have the self checkout lanes at this one, and it's a little smaller than my neighborhood Publix so they're limited in stock on some things, but they have a larger ethnic food section if you're into that. They only did subs at the deli for a long time (my local does fried rice, burgers, cheesesteaks, etc) but now have a hot food bar with Asian cuisine, a salad bar, and four hot soups, the chicken noodle is delicious. read more

I recently started going to this Publix instead of other grocery stores near by. I have found the prices are better and the quality of the food (especially produce) is much better! The only reason I don't give them a full 5 stars is because I felt rushed when picking out what type of fish I wanted to get. The man behind the counter kept making remarks to speed up my decision making and I didn't appreciate it. Although that happened, the fish tasted wonderful that night when I ate it for dinner! I've been shopping at this Publix since 2007 and it's still one of the best. Always clean and the staff is very friendly. In fact - a lot of the staff is the same since I started coming here. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but that is more the landlord than Publix. They may not always have the best prices on everything - but as long as you stock up on some of the weekly BOGO selections you wind up spending the same amount as the Kroger around the corner - but for me it's a much nicer shopping experience. For the most part, things actually make sense where they are positioned on the isles - and not like putting pancake mix next to the salad dressing like some other grocery stores. read more

This is my neighborhood Publix and I like it okay. It's not very big but it's not the smallest I've seen. They don't always have what I'm looking for, but if they don't I can just run to the Publix on Henderson Mill. The people here are always friendly and that's important to me. read more

Publix in Toco Hills has everything, and there are tons of other shops, businesses, and restaurants in this shopping center. Including a Kroger, in the same shopping center as a Publix. Weird. I don't like the parking lot though, even though it is huge, it gets hectic when busy. The one thing that sets this Publix apart from the others is the amount of Kosher offerings. It is located in a predominately Jewish neighborhood, so there are pretty extensive Kosher offerings in each department. Chicken wings are on sale today for the upcoming Superbowl. You can bet I loaded up. read more

This is the Toco Hills Publix. I usually do not write bad reviews unless something is just really wrong but this has to be the worst Publix customer service wise in town. I have been either denied service or just completely forgotten about by the staff in the deli more than 3 times. I immediately leave and go to the Publix in Decatur. I am actually shocked because this is one store with a wide selection and it is very clean. However getting anyone in the deli to help you with good service is a challenge. I really can't say how displeased I am with this place. I would like to say they just don't like me but I have heard about disliking the customer service in the deli from two other people. My suggestion only go here if you cannot find what you want and steer clear of the deli. Horrible service. read more

It's kinda hard to give this Publix location anything under 4 stars. The store is always clean, in order and the food looks fresh. The clerks and etc are very professional and they appear to be very concerned about what others think about their work ethics. And yes this store does carry tons of Jewish products and they even have Jewish clerks working inside this store. I guess that only seems fair reconsidering the strict dietary laws the Orthodox Jews must follow, I guess somebody must monitor the store to make sure that nobody does something foolish like mixing in the none kosher stuff with the kosher stuff. read more

I have shopped at many Publixes (Publices?) since moving to Atlanta, and while they are all unique and special butterflies in my heart, this one is my favorite. Now, there are some qualities that all Publixes/Publices share, in my experience: 1. Getting a sandwich made will take approximately 8 hours. It will be delicious, but it's going to be slow and you're going to think about giving up before it's done. Just wait. 2. You will be helped, almost aggressively. They really, really want to help you. Don't bother running, because another employee will find you in the next aisle. 3. The bagging will make no sense, and you'll probably cringe as employees chuck your carefully-selected tomatoes down the line, and then thunk them into a bag and pile your heavy canned goods on top of them. (I don't know why, but this seems to be the case at every Publix, and it seems to be a problem every time. Perhaps better training for baggers is in order?) The extent to which each individual Publix shares in the qualities varies, but Toco Hills Publix has the most cheerful, helpful employees anywhere, and they happen to be completely atrocious baggers who also slowly make very delicious sandwiches. Bonus: the store itself is nicely lit, with big wide aisles, a wide range of products, and fresh produce (generally). Definitely go here if you need groceries, sandwiches, beer, or a store employee to really pay attention to you. read more

Nice Publix location. I enjoy shopping here, but really dislike the crowded parking lot. I have found the people working in the pharmacy are not friendly and make you wait unnecessarily. Deli is slow as another user mentioned as well as being dysfunction (poor communication skills). The worker behind the counter took to long and seemed to not be proficient at her job and resulted in a poorly made sandwich and an unsatisfied customer. Other worker seemed to show disinterest and would talk to one another while customers waited to be helped. read more

I'm a permanent fixture at Publix, always getting my grocery shopping on. This is a well placed location, in a busy area. The parking lot is always busy, being that it's shared with a billion other businesses. I always find what I came for, and end up buying more than I originally intended to get, but that's what get for always doing grocery shopping when I'm hungry :/ read more

I've never been a wild about Publix and my experience today didn't help that opinion. Upon entering the store, none of the associates stopped their casual conversations filled with laughter and high fives with the relaxed security guard to greet me. Even though I was obviously clueless of where certain items were, no one asking if they could help. When I finally asked a man in a green long sleeve Publix shirt & tie to direct me to the sliced watermelon, he slammed down what was in his hand and stormed off without saying a word. So, I stood there for two minutes then asked another employee. Thankfully, he did direct to the correct location with no problems. Once, I got there, here comes the original rude associate & he says ,"Just so you know the watermelons are buy one get one free." Sorry, but I'm going to stick with Kroger! OAN: The Doctor in Pharmacy Department was EXTREMELY HELPFUL & POLITE!! O yeah, The watermelon was the best I've had in a while!! read more
