Publix always has something going on! You can order a sub online ( which I HIGHLY recommend) You get there and just look for your name, grab your sandwich and skip the line! Nothing better than skipping the line. It's always good to walk up and down the aisles, because they always have something on clearance, or BOGO, or better. Keep your eyes open!! Also, take your time and really look at their condiment and cheese sections. Publix has some really interesting culinary choices. You just have to look for them. read more

I was in Gainesville and wanted to make sure my son had enough food so we stopped into this Publix. I'm not a fan of Publix and don't normally shop there, but it was close so I had no choice. Everyone who says that they pay more in groceries and they can't understand why, my question is why would you even consider shopping at a Publix? The prices were so unbelievably extreme I thought about starting a class on how to help people on where to shop for quality food at reasonable prices. We also needed to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy. As we stood online, it was a 20 minute wait because there was only one person behind the counter not only did we have to wait but it also was seven dollars more than what I pay for the same prescription in Boca Raton. read more

This is a convenient Publix to my daughter's apt. I can walk to it and pick up groceries and walk back with them. I love not having to get in the car! Parking is a bit difficult here so just be prepared! The employees here are very friendly and very helpful! I was glad to be able to get my salad and rice cakes! Compact with all the essentials. Attached coffee shop with warm ambience. Shockingly attentive staff. Once, when I was looking for my favorite yogurt, I saw the manager talking to an employee and gesture to me. He walked over and explained unprompted that the yogurt I always get was discontinued, and recommended an alternative. And when the yogurt was available again months later, they made sure to inform me when they saw me. This is a level of customer service that verges on absurd for a grocery store. read more

Located right of University and 13th, this Publix also has a Starbucks inside its store. While this store is a little smaller with some more narrow aisles, it is generally well stocked. The deli has some great options other than just subs. The sub line can get pretty long during expected busy times. They offer some self checkout lines song with regular registers. Parking can sometimes be tough due to popularity of the spot and people coming for shopping and Starbucks. read more

The deli takes years, the shelves tend to be inconsistent with things like produce freshness, organization and even dirty packaging. If it weren't for the convenient location i would never be found in this store. The second star is for the checkout staff, self checkout and the cashiers are very friendly. read more

Pub subs are almost always perfect and always taste great, which is impressive considering I online order during their busiest times and do so often. The line is consistently packed, though, so definitely avoid coming in expecting a sub without a wait during peak hours. The store is well stocked, and the pharmacy has always been good to me. From the incredible service with staff members welcoming you, to a wide variety of food options, this remains one of my favorite places to get lunch. This Publix features options for custom ordered Japanese style bowls featuring ramen, and custom bowls. On various occasions, I've ordered the teriyaki bowl and it is priced around $6-$7. I've been fairly satisfied every time. The quality is honestly very decent, and it feels like a complete meal with the vegetables included and a generous portion of protein. Recently, I tried their ramen with the change in weather and I believe this came out to be a bit under $8. The packaging was incredibly neat, and very creative ( I don't have an image, but if you order you'll see it for yourself). The ramen was an overall good value, and you can choose between chicken, pork, or shrimp. My third image includes one of Publix's $6 meal combos, which is a great deal. It is $6 if the food isn't heated, or around $6.40 if heated properly. The buffalo chicken was of great quality, and had plenty of flavor. I've also tried the seafood salad, which is a classic side and surely won't disappoint. Overall, this is one of my favorite Publix's due to the wide variety of food options in their deli, and "Asian take out" area. read more

Great, fresh, new Publix near campus. It's not the standard size of usual Publix, but has plenty of options. There is a Starbucks attached to it if you're into that. The employees are very friendly and willing to help. I was there maybe 5 minutes and twice as many employees greated me, some asking if I needed help with anything. Simply fantastic service. You can find mostly what you need here. Special items perhaps not. However with the huge apartment/condo building being constructed across the street it's easy to see this Publix will be a good option for your shopping needs. read more

I had to go on campus yesterday, and after I had completed my business there it was time to head out to my actual work place. I had decided to grab something for lunch, and the small Publix on 13th where the old McDonald's once stood was appropriate. Pulling in, I noted that parking in the lot for this Publix is a bit on the tight side. Fortunately it is the summer and I didn't have to deal with scooters all over the place. Once inside, it really is a small Publix. I was able to find the deli without issue, and grabbed my PubSub for later consumption. Then I went on a search for lemonade mix... and managed to cover the entire store in the process. You see, in all of the other Publix stores in town, the section for lemonade mix (i.e. Kool-Aid) was moved to the soda aisle about four years ago. So that is where I went. Nope. No go. Hence trekking around the entire store until I finally found it in the juice aisle, which was the last place I figured to look since that is where all of the other stores had moved that section from. Go figure. The store is clean, but you aren't going to find as much variety as you would from a full-sized store. read more

I have been on the lookout for good bacon wrapped tenderloins for a while now and because I couldn't find any in stores, I went to speak to the meat department of Publix. After speaking with the meat employees, he informs me that they can make whatever I need right there on the spot. I was shocked, but also excited. The employee came from behind his station to come help me pick out the perfect cut of meat and the type of bacon I wanted them to be wrapped in. Afterwards, the employee then proceeded to wrap the tenderloins in bacon and place a price tag on them. They turned out beautiful and tasted absolutely delicious. If you need specific cuts of meat or have special requests, I would highly recommend using this Publix. They care about their work and will make sure you are well taken care of. read more

BOGO Tillamook cheese was moldy. One pack of white cheddar was fine. The other pack of Swiss had blue and white mold. Less than 24 hours after purchase noticed mold. Not a big deal. Just tore off the moldy section and used the rest. But it was probably at room temp in the store for awhile and put back in the cooler. read more

This Publix looks new and clean. It looks smaller than other locations but it had everything that we needed. Parking is tight but we got a spot close to the door. There were three people fighting over our spot when we left though. They also have motorcycle and moped parking. It's walking distance from the UF campus and there are three self checkout registers. Oh Publix, the finest of grocery establishments and a haven from the harshness of the streets. While typically a fine respite, this particular Publix fell quite short of my expectations. For starters, at busier times of the day, the lot is absolutely jam-packed, and shoppers may find that they are turned away by the lack of parking availability. Now keep in mind, this is a smaller location, and items are at a minimum. That means my search for Ovaltine, and many other products, was fruitless! And the lines for PubSubs or deli items can be terribly lengthy, with wait times well in excess of 25 minutes (at most hours of the day). If theres 3 people in line, expect to wait 20-30 minutes. I've ordered cake from here multiple times. Comes out perfect and people at the bakery are very friendly and professional. Specifically, one of the workers went above and beyond to deliver great customer service to my crippled husband and I. When I went up to the counter, the worker magically helped my husband walk for the first time in 15 years. This experience was everything I've ever prayed for, thank you Publix. Nice grocery store, also has their own off-brand alternatives to a lot of products. Not only do they have all the usual grocery items, but they also have a deli / food area and their food is pretty good! They have sandwiches, a meat/bbq-like section and of course salads and whatnot. The location is pretty good, close to the business school and that end of campus (probably one of the closest stores). read more

This is literally the worst Publix I have been to in the entire state of Florida. Worst deli section I have ever seen. Employees are slow and look like they have no idea what they are doing. And you can tell that's true by how awful they put together a sub. I don't even know how you can put meat and vegetables on bread so terribly. They are always out of chicken tenders which doesn't really make sense to me considering they are right next to campus and that is the #1 sub ordered. You'd think they'd know when they are running low they have to cook more. But instead they like to wait until the run out completely to cook more. Do not come here for a sub. I've never been impressed by this location. For starters, there's not nearly enough parking in their parking lot, and if you try parking anywhere else nearby you'll likely get towed. If/when you manage to actually get inside, the store is invariably filled with more customers and meandering employees than actual items for sale, and the store is so cramped that one person in your way means you'll have to do a lap around an aisle to get where you're going. The store, being one of the smallest Publix locations in existence (no really- look it up), offers less variety than other locations in just about everything, so don't go in looking for specific brands or items. Also, they never seem to have their act together at the Deli, which is ironic because I'm pretty sure they touted how "innovative" it was when they opened the store a few years ago. Today I ordered a sub from them for pickup (since I didn't care to wait in the perpetual 30 minute line of people ordering in-store), showed up at the pickup time they gave, and ended up having to wait awkwardly in the store for half an hour because they were "waiting on" the meat, even though I could see them making subs with the very meat they were "waiting on" for the people ordering in person. They also failed to put the sticker with the barcode on the packaging, for which cashier became weirdly irritated--almost accusatory--with ME, insisting that they'd have to send someone to verify my sub wasn't... I guess, fake?... and deflecting my comment that "yeah they seem to be a little bit confused--it took them over an hour to make that sub..." with "that's okay"... LOL. Good to know that's "okay" with them. Unfortunately, that's not okay with me, and this is far from my only option for getting groceries. There's more than a dozen other Publixes, two Winn-Dixies, Trader Joe's, Lucky's, and plenty of other options all within a five mile radius, giving me little reason to shop at this store in the future. read more

The deli at this Publix is possibly the worst. I frequently buy subs here because it is the closest to my house, and they're consistently bad. They are often very sparse with their toppings. When ordering online, the leave off some toppings and add others that aren't supposed to be there. They're also consistently AT LEAST 15 minutes late from the time the confirmation says it'll be ready. Just tonight, I received the wrong cheese, no mustard, and black olives that I did not want or ask for. If you can go to any other Publix to get a sub, do it and don't waste your time here. read more

I pass this Publix 4 times a day and on most days I stop to pick up something for work or for home. The employees are great and when I come in early, just after they open, they smile and ask if I found everything I needed and if not they will walk me to where the product is. That's costumer service. I agree with some of the others about the prepared foods and subs, it can be a little slow and sometimes they make a mistake but thank you lord for putting this Publix here!!! Love it. read more
