I love mango and this Publix has the Greenwise dried unsweetened mango slices. It's not the same as the real fruit, but if you are on the road, these slices are easy to munch on while driving. This area of Homestead is great, it has so many places to shop in a small section of the city, which makes it easy for people wanting to get specific things from specific stores. I do big sub orders every year at this time and it is always an issue. The order is never ready. This year not only was it not ready even with the store having been open over an hour, the lady making the sandwiches was not pleasant. After speaking with a manager he pulled up some people from the back to help. Maurice and another gentleman from the back got to work trying to help make sure I got my order finished. The next day Maurice again was there making sure I got my order. The next two days the star of the day was Kat. She not only made sure I got the order asap, she was super nice and a pleasure to deal with. Without those three employees working in the deli, I would have gone to one of the three other Publix stores we have within a few minutes of each other. So thanks you again to Maurice, Kat and the other gentleman that unfortunately wasn't wearing a name tag. read more

Customer service was A1! Didn't have an issue at this location. Parking was empty. The staff was helped in every department and there selection of sushi here is phenomenal, with tons of variety. The deli department helped me right away and I found everything I needed in stock. Great job #510!! (: P.S- Every Wednesday at publix is Sushi Wednesdays they have sushi rolls for $5!!! This Publix never has anything that you are looking for, it's always half empty; they definitely need more employees at the cash register as well. The pharmacy also is the WORSE everytime i try and go get my prescription they never have it ! I have to wait several days to get my prescription filled ! read more

This is the worse publix I've ever been to. Stood in line for a sandwich took about 15 minutes for me to get to the front. ordered 2 chicken tender subs. They tell me it's gonna be 10 minutes for more chicken tenders to come up, ok fine I'll wait. After 15 minutes goes by I ask if the chicken tenders are almost done. She says yes 5 more minutes. After that passes by I ask if the chicken tenders are even in the fryer. She walks away to go check, then comes back to tell me the chicken tenders never got put into the fryer. It's sad that this location does NOT participate in $5.00 Sushi Wednesdays like some other areas in Florida. I was expecting this and was surprised when my total was over $15 for 2 packs of sushi. They didn't have my usual white rice California rolls so I decided to try the brown rice ones. It did not taste very good. I ended up not liking it at all and tossing it out. I had the lobster bisque and it tasted pretty good. The sub line was extremely slow but the staff was very on top of making sure they didn't miss any important details. The power of the entire store went out at one point briefly before I guess generators kicked it. It was a freaky moment being in the dark in a grocery store. I've never had that experience before. Anyways not my favorite Publix location for the prices and the confusing layout. read more

I had to give this Publix a 3 star! I usually come here during lunch to pick up a wrap. In Homestead area not many healthy choices. Well, really not many choices at all. So many times I find myself just getting a wrap at the deli. The wraps of course are always really good. No complains at all about the food! The food is always great! They even have a little section if you want to sit and eat. Love their Mac & Cheese it's the best. The hot food always has several options as well. They also have nice variaty of Sushi always out. Now here comes the bad part; the cashiers. I've NEVER been in a publix where the cashiers are ALWAYS rude! I mean to tell you I say good afternoon, have a great day & I never get a response!!!!!! This Publix is set up the way it should be with the Deli and the Bakery next to each other. Plus the staff in both are always happy to help. Betty at the APRONS kiosk is amazing she's there Tuesday - Friday she is usually the main reason I go in the afternoons. Plus she let's you know what great and what's OK. The Meat department is extensive but the produce is lacking There ice cream section is on point sure good variety . Went to Publix to pick up a birthday cake. Got the cake home and cut it and it was the wrong type of cake. Called Publix bakery they said to bring it bake and I did. When I reached the bakery spoke with the people in the back and then some person named Willie got in the conversation. He started saying that it was my fault and that I ordered the wrong cake. In reality it was Publix that made the mistake. I have shopped at Publix for over 20 years and have never been treated the way I was treated today with placing blame on the customer and being sreamed at.
