Halfway to Key West and ran inside to get a couple bathroom needs and FL Lotto tickets from the customer service desk. The clerk was laid back and happy. Parking lot was large and clean. I'm typically not one to write reviews for grocery stores but this one deserves a serious shout out. In particular the pharmacy. I realized during the hustle of packing that I had forgotten to pack my mental health medication. The pharmacist was able to quickly transfer my prescription from Ohio and while they did not have it in stock he patiently called other stores in the area and was able to find it in another location not to far from where we are staying and they were able to have it ready by the time we arrived. The rest of the staff were also so friendly and helpful. They also have a wonderful selection of groceries, juices, and my son loves riding around in the car grocery carts! read more

Still my favorite Publix! I live 22 miles away, sadly. Key Largo Publix could learn from here. The store is well organized and the employees are super friendly and efficient. I needed help reaching an item a ways back on a top shelf. One aisle over, there was a young man restocking. I asked if he could reach something and he happily stopped what he was doing an secured the item for me. I think this store is smaller than Key Largo, but you would not know it because items are in stock here. I could not get my Gold Peak tea and Evian in KL. I loaded my cart here! This Publix has a great location for a quick stop on our way back from Key West to Miami. We were looking for some Key Lime Juice to take home with us, and they had a nice selection. We also had to sample their cute mini Key Lime Pie, which was adorable, but not quite as good as some of the other stuff we sampled on our Key Lime Pie pilgrimage. Went to the Deli and order 3 hot subs walked to the parking lot try to eat them and they were cold Like they were in a refrigerator 1 chicken finger wrap 1 lecord blue and one grilled chicken. Counters and store is clean.and organized. This is a smaller store but has grate variety of food and drinks. Some items I had only seen in Canada so was pleasantly surprised. I am so happy this Publix opened in islamorada. They have the best produce dept! The staff is so friendly and the store is so clean! Oliver in produce, Robert in Seafood, the young man in the bakery, all the cashiers and customer service staff, both young ladies in the pharmacy and the Asst Manager Robert all are so helpful, and friendly. This Publix needs to do some employee training. It is not like any other Publix I have ever visited. Employees unaware of things going on around them, having their own conversations while ignoring customers. Very slow service. Deli food looked horrible and we were afraid to purchase any of it. How about better service. Very difficult to get get help from the Deli. They DO NOT WANT TO WAIT ON THE CUSTOMER. And the Boar's Head is slimy. Most unusual for Boat's head to be out of date. Bakery has very limited designs that can be put on a cake! VERY LIMITED and the manager is usually rude even if you can get her attention. People out on the floor are friendly and helpful. Meat from the meat department is TOUGH!!! Most of the regular user (not tourist) go to Tavernier to use the meat market there for tender steaks!!! read more

This is the most horrible publix. Normally we LOVR Publix and two of our children have worked for them but this was horrible. The bagger, Helen, was rude and was standing around talking while my husband bagged the groceries. When the cashier finally asked her to help, she said she was helping another customer and no one came to bag. My husband then began bagging again. With about 10 groceries left a young man came and helped but no one offered to help with our two carts nor to bring them out. Very rude and lazy staff here. read more

We went to the deli to order a sub and Alicia was "helping" the other employee make ours. She was EXTREMELY rude and nasty. She was tossing things around and repeatedly rolling her eyes each time we made a request and we ended up having to get half of the sun completely plain because she was so inconvenienced to do her job it seemed. There is way too much stuff in that isle causing lots of uncomfortable people! This is not COVID-19 appropriate! My family and I went fishing in Duck Key and our way back to Fort Lauderdale we stopped at the Publix supermarket in Islamorada and purchased some refreshments. A few days after we got home my wife started searching for her drivers license but to no avail. She finally got frustrated and decided to go to the DMV to apply for a replacement drivers license and just as she was about to go through the door the postman handed her mails for that day and lo and behold we received a letter from Publix and it contained her drivers license. We were not aware that she had dropped it in the store. We were very happy at the kind gesture from Publix. This was extremely good customer service. Kudos to the staff at Publix. A job well done, very satisfied customers. There will never be a time when we are passing that Publix and not stop. You have completely won us over for not just that just location but for all Publix locations that we come across. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND PUBLIX SUPERMARKET FOR EACH AND EVERYONE. read more
