not sure what has happened to our Lehigh Publix. I got a sub from them yesterday and it was horrible. the bread was old and crumbly obviously it was not fresh. the Italian sub i got was a disappointment so i will stay away from the LA publix. i'll go back to veranda publix even thought it is out of my way. i tried but LA Publix failed me. read more

I have complained and complained but all you get is apologies and I'm so sorry. They use instacart for deliveries. Charge extra for EACH item plus charge you delivery plus a service charge. Plus tip and the sorry store has BOGO but don't ever have the items. What is also a cheat is that they charge you 2.00 for priority delivery and it gets here late. "Shopping is a pleasure" stopped during the pandemic. This publix in particular is THE FIRST publix I have ever been to that start closing ups shop in your face 15 min to 8. Mind you they close at 10PM. Everything starts being put away. There is always a line at the subs and they never staff appropriately for it. The people who work here also don't want to be here. I like to tell managers when I run into a good employee I do that just cause, but at this publix I NEVER run into one. Even asking a question makes you feel weird. The managers especially deli the Hispanic one, walked by looked at the line for subs, looked at her staff doing nothing and the one lil lady doing subs and walked away. I DONT LIKE THAT. Get your ass in the back and help. Some people really let this manager stuff take them away, but you are suppose to step in for your team. They vacuum, sweep, mop, pack things up IN YOUR FACE 2 hours before they close down. So sad. read more

We just love Publix subs. This is for the deli dept in Lehigh store for subs. But the past few times we ordered and had our food delivered. The lettuce was not fresh. It was whilty and wet and discolored. Not fresh. Like it was wet and been in freezer. Not happy read more

I'm a lonely guy. I haven't got family around. But when I go to this Publix -- I forget that I'm on my own. They go the extra length to take care of me. Just like they do everyone else. It's been almost a year since his review, but unfortunately, I still have to agree with Jermain. This location just does not live up to the standards I have come to expect from Publix. I have not had a positive experience no matter when I go: -A stockperson ran into me when rushing around a corner into an aisle where I was standing, and did not apologize -The baggers consistently refuse to make eye contact and/or smile at checkout -Employees have personal conversations in inappropriate places -The place is dirty; I tried to buy a bag of flour only to realize at the conveyer belt that it was ridden with bugs. I know that the bug problem could have originated at the shipment facility, and I usually do not have a problem ignoring lackluster customer service (re: smiling, personal convos), but the service at this location is too sub-par to let go. read more

They are NOT disinfecting their carts, they gave that up months ago, and I'd bet from first-hand experience that way less than 50% of their customers are wearing masks OR social distancing, and Lehigh Acres is a Lee County hot spot for Covid infections!!!! It's a shame too, as it was a nice store. I now go to the Winn Dixie on Bell BLVD, as they DO disinfect ALL of their carts and a MUCH larger percentage of their customers are doing what they should relative to wearing masks and distancing. read more

I've shopped here a few times and the store looks great. There is plenty of selection, the produce dept and bakery are amazing. The staff is very friendly and when asked where something is, they gladly walk you to the item with a smile. However, the prices are a little higher than other places nearby. read more

I want to say the service at this publics is above and beyond, first I had a bag of apples and there was no upc on it so a nice lady ran back and grabbed the organic bag and the price was more than I wanted to pay plus mine was not organic. While she was gone the store manager started bagging my remaining items, when I decided not to take the apples and they removed them from my cost only later did I find out the manager put them in my cart. Poorly run store.They always out if stock on sale items.Everytime I preorder anything from the deli, it's never ready on time always have an excuse.usually somebody else must have grabbed it.Today I ordered 3 subs,was told. After waiting 15 mins that they were calling customers to tell them they were out of bread,even though they have a bakery. read more

Was very happy with this Publix as it now has a pharmacy. I am not so happy now as it takes 30-45 minutes to get meat in the deli. The first time I had an issue there were over 6 people waiting for meat. One person waiting on all at the deli counter. The last two times I have been in the deli the ladies have to keep fanning their hands over the meat when weighing, as flies try to land on the meat. I then wonder what is keeping the flies off the meat that is in the meat slicer while they are keeping them off the meat they are weighing? A cashier said it is best to order your meat online and it is ready for pickup when you arrive. They also need a better layout in the sandwich department as there is always a line of over 7-10 people waiting to order and shoppers cannot get through to go to the produce area. read more

Two stars only because it's not ALL bad........but, I agree with the other reviews. 1. Dirty. Everything looks old and run down, even the freezers (not in freezer section) do not keep foods frozen or even close to it. Yet employees tell you it's okay and fine...NOT! Frozen food needs to stay that way not thawed and refrozen when you get home, how many times has it been thawed before you take it home? 2. Shopping for Rice and Pasta a nightmare! Can't tell you how many times I have ruined dinner with bugs in my pasta or rice....ewwww I have taken back bad meat and ruined food for refunds. at least they DO give you back the money you spent, even though the time you spent making dinner can never be given back. Finally got sick and tired and now I buy as I use the stuff. Just the other day I went to buy rice and had to had an employee a bag of rice on the shelf with bugs in it.... 3. The person they have cooking to show meal of the day....Please I have complained about her more than once. Why do they save the food for friends who visit them and not paying customers? I do not eat meat, but my family loves it, so I was there with my husband and his mouth was watering over the smell of food the person was preparing, so I told him to go ask what it was and HE....lol yes He could make it for him and the boys....she didn't even offer him a taste....well needless to say she lost Publix plenty of money if she did this to more than a few people. this is the only place me and my mother shop since they carry organic greenwise meats. i rate this Publix a two star because yes it is clean, but we have been to the deli numerus times and it has taken 30-45 minutes to get a publix sub (We complained to the manager of the store, really young girl, super annoying voice.. she walked away while my mother was telling her the issues of the deli). so then we decided we'd order online with specific sandwich instructions, one with pumpernickel bread. well publix called saying there was no pumpernickel bread, so we got whole grain, no big deal. then we order another sandwich with white mountain bread. so we get to Publix to get our sandwiches and they have a whole loaf of pumpernickel sitting right there. i didn't feel like waiting 40 minutes for someone to replace breading, so we left. got home and the breading on the white mountain bread, was ended up being rye. they also got rid of Greenwise pork.. if anything get rid of the veal, how awful. but manager courtesy is terrible, and deli is god awful.. but we gotta shop there cause they carry organic. if they didnt, we wouldnt be going here AT ALL. read more

This new store is a great improvement over the old one in the same location. However todays experience was less than stellar. Someone had left a dog inside the cab of their pick up truck and it was barking excessively. I went inside to report it to the management to page the customer with the pick up truck with NY plates. The customer service agents were very sympathetic and paged the manager Amy. There is were my experience turned very sour. She said it was not Publix policy to page customers or get involved in situations like this. If that is their attitude I will now be shopping elsewhere. read more
