I specifically asked the butcher for a fresh case because I was concerned about how long it had been sitting out. He refused and assured me it was "fresh." When I got home and opened the meat, it had a strong rotten egg odor, clearly indicating it was spoiled. There was no way this was safe to eat. I returned the next morning around 9:30 AM and spoke with the manager (Marcella). She handled the meat with her bare hands, said it "smelled fine," and told me I could still cook it. I explained this was for a gathering and could make people sick, but she refused to give me a refund or replacement and walked away. This is not just bad customer service--this is a serious food safety issue. Selling potentially spoiled meat and refusing to correct it is unacceptable and dangerous. I would strongly caution others to check their purchases carefully, especially meat products from this location.

One time she refused to serve me and when i called the manager she lied and told the Manager (Bob) that this was not true. On another occasion she asked me if I was paying with my EBT card (I was never on the DOLE, not once in my life). Why would you ask me about EBT card, is it because I am black? Cashiers usually ask cash or charge? One time she went to get something with a customer outside and the polite thing to do or say to me would be, give me a minute while I get something outside for this customer but she just walked off (A manager Donata was passing by and must have seen the look on my face and she said she would be right back). Doris returned and a staff asked for something and she went off with the staff towards the produce section and again did not say anything to me waiting in line. All the time I was their waiting. On Tuesday Feb 7th 2023, I stood on line waiting while she attended to 2 ladies, after the ladies left, I walked up to the counter and stood in front of her, she was finishing up something at the cash register, she then looked up at me, stare me dead in the eyes, walked away and went to attend to a clearly Hispanic customer who is light skinned with straight hair (this customer had just walked in) and she asked him, how can I help you? I confronted her to which she said she did not see me there. A manager Luis also clearly Hispanic was called but did nothing. Frank intervened and attended to me while Doris continued with the Hispanic client. There have been other occasions that I have run into other staff with racist like behavior but this woman takes the cake. She is slow, inefficient, insolent and incompetent, whenever she is the cashier, their is always a traffic jam, she takes a minimum of 22 minutes to attend to a customer and yes, I have actually timed her on more than one occasion. On one of those days, it was a Saturday, a Caucasian manager, was passing and I drew her attention to the long line and clearly disgruntled customers and ask if we could get another cashier. This manager went away and came back around 5 minutes later, Dpris was still with the same customer (she had actually been with that same customer for about 19 minutes by my count). The manager took a couple minutes to open up the other register and started taking customers. The manager attended to 4 customers and Doris was still with the same customers. I am not sure if the manager called Donata or Donata was just passing by but they had a conversation and she (Donata) said something very kind to her like, are you okay there Doris and she replied yes. The manager attended to me and I left with Doris still with the same customer, I don't know what happened after I left but by then she was with that customer, at a minimum half an hour. I am black and very proud of my heritage. Doris needs to know that she is in no way better than me, she is a minority like myself and my money is as green as everyone else's. Fresco needs to train their staff in sensitivity amongst the races. Publix , Save a Lot and Choice is just a stone throw away and they offer similar services. My mom and a couple people I spoke to told me they don't go there because of similar treatment that they have received. Well Fresco, if your store is only for HISPANICS then please put that on the front of your store. Listen up people if you are BLACK BEWARE. I am giving this store a 2 star ONLY because not all the staff are bad. I would like to say these staff includes Frank that has shown much improvement, Bob and Donata.

How they fit in the grocer battle in Southwest Florida? I was in the Lehigh Acres in late Sunday afternoon. My curiosity made me swing by a Bravo Supermarket in Lee Blvd. First, most Bravo Supermarkets are franchised and locally owned. Bravo grow into Florida from New York. It catered to Latin Clients with fresh produce, dairy, meats, seafoods, snacks, drinks and prepared foods. There were two food trucks at the end of parking offer Jamaican and Latin food. The produce area is adequate but not that big. Pickup parsley, one eggplant and two bitter melons. I was looking for tropical fruits but the Papaya was huge and the size is not suitable for our need. Only three Mamay Sapote were available but there were good selections of Malanga and yuca. The green guavas were very fresh and looks amazing. Will check out the seafood and the meat department on the next visit. From the frozen section, I got 4 Mango Ice Cream bars and a Argentinean Beef empanada. From the small bakery section, I got two Pan Mexicano and croissants. I was at the store around 4 PM and did not explore the prepared food or deli section! This is a good side store and not huge. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. A good Latin Supermarket! Now, I know how Bravo and others can compete with Walmart and Publix. Just differentiate yourself from Publix and concentrate on your own niche.

Within the shop but slightly separated is even a computer repair area, kitchen necessities like pressure cookers, dominoes, small cigar section and more. No problem, I am not letting anything get to me. Now , I am in the store at customer service standing next to someone who went overboard with the patchouli oil. I stand in line for what seems to be eternity as two people are trying to figure some customer issue out. Now apparently my 20.00 lottery ticket earned me a cool buck. Now I'm off to the deli where there are 20 people in line and they are out of chicken. So now I decide on a salads for lunch but they are out of my favorite so I ask an employee if they have more in the back and he blows by me. So I get a few items and some paper towels for 120.00 because nothing is ever on sale. Moving from the West , I got spoiled shopping at Safeway and Publix is not the same.
