A lot of Pub's are known for their subs. But this one is Sub-par. I'm not rating the sandwiches though, today I was in for $5 sushi Wednesday. Normally I wouldn't necessarily review that, but...this has been my least favorite Publix sushi run of all time. First off, they have very few options for the sushi Wednesday which is hit or miss depending on which Publix you go to. But then when I got it home, it was a further let down. Super soggy rice, tiny pieces of salmon, ginger that was buried under the wasabi seemingly on purpose but that led be to believe it wasn't there until I only had a few bites of each pack left. The location itself also just seems like not the best-run of the Publii. Take your Abe Lincoln elsewhere on Wednesdays. read more

Ive come here about 3 times a week for the past 3 years since I live around the corner. Never had a issue until last night. Came here to rent a carpet cleaner machine. When you come through the door, make sure to go straight to customer services, and tell them you want to rent the carpet cleaner machine. They were very helpful in explaining and answering all my questions. They unlock the machine from its storage place. You wheel the machine back to customer service where they take down your personal info and driver license. You pay for the rental up front ($29.99) and that's it. You got to return it within 24hrs. I bought the 48oz Oxy Carpet Cleaner ($14.99) with it. The 48oz was more than enough for the 3 bedroom carpet I needed to clean. Using the machine is very simple. The steps are also shown on the machine itself. Some really dark spots came out instantly. If not, a few more passes usually does the trick. All said and done this project cost me $29.99 for the machine and $14.99 for the carpet cleaner liquid. Still cheaper than hiring a shady service company. Plus, when you do it yourself you do a better quality job. I brought the machine back the same day, as it only took me a few hours to complete the job, with me even taking my sweet time and not rushing it. When you bring it back, just wheel it back to customer service and they tell you to just leave it there and that's it. Overall happy with this experience, and didn't have to deal with shady companies to get the job done read more

I wish I can rate zero stars, the sign said is open till 10 PM. I've been there at 9:30 PM in ask for fresh fish they practically close I don't know I want time but they said they can sell me something then they call somebody and the person was mad because I want to buy something about time so she was coursing Noragami but obviously he was mad that he have to work.. son tell them don't worry about it I just gonna leave I don't want to be the cause of somebody get mad, and I left the police, on my way out. I asked for the manager and they told me is out of the seafood area.. lol I was laughing, and Jess left. So if you go to shop in that place even DC close at 10 PM make sure you are there before 9 PM. I finally understand the love surrounding the famous "Pub Subs". I had my first Publix sub from this location, and I can now say that I am a believer as well. The line moved pretty slowly, but that's because each sub was made with tender loving care by the employees. They were taking time to squeeze in as much as possible in the delicious fresh-baked bread, ensuring everyone had a premium sub. The employees were very friendly, wishing everyone a happy new year and lightly conversing with the customers. They made sure everyone was aware of the promotions/sales at the time, and perfectly crafted each delicious sub. The sub itself is another, wonderful story that begins with the bread. The fresh-baked bread from the Publix baker is the perfect vessel. It is stuffed to the brim with deli meats (publix or Boar's head) or ... chopped chicken tenders! And just when it looks like you can't add anything more inot there, they ask about toppings, saying "there's always room on a Pub sub!". I loved the inclusive attitude. Also worth mentioning that if you add a condiment, they made sure to put it on both sides of the sub for equal distribution. I can not wait until I am able to get my hands on one of these delicious babies again. read more

I like the fact that it's 10 minutes walking distance, and it takes 2 minutes if you drive from where I live. I usually go together with hubby but since he was at work I went myself with the little cart from home. I really wish they had signs on those two separate doors (and maybe make them automatic according to that), one for entrance and other for exit. It's so hard to get in because you never know who's getting in there or coming out. I saw how that annoyed my Ralphie was a few times, and it really annoyed me this time, too. With my little cart, it was still difficult to get in so I had to wait before it cleared. *It's probably because it was a Friday evening.. let's try going there on a Wednesday, then maybe it's less trouble - unless it's a holiday.* I like their two for $4 salad section, and that's mostly the first thing I cross off on my list before they run out. Same thing with the chicken breasts, but I tend to get that one the last since it's in the frozen area. Employees around here are nice enough to give you a hand and some seem to care. In fact, when I saw the parsley leaves in zip lock bags, an employee explained that it was to prevent slipping accidents since these were wet from being washed and people would shake them before putting them back. Nice of them! One actually saw me trying to put my items together in my own little cart from home and wanted to help me out, too. Publix is really paying attention to who they're hiring and getting good employees. When I got to the cashier section, even on this busy day, they were fast and helpful. They were even nice enough to get me a roll of quarters instead of me actually going to the customer service place, thanks to that bagboy (too bad they don't allow getting tipped.) I'm really hoping that they get more sugar-free fudgesicles again, because the last three times, they've been gone. Hope they're not discontinued. lol I one time was able to get sugar free and less carb chocolate mini cupcakes in the bakery for my hubby for a mini b-day surprise (before we head up to his family) since he's diabetic. Yep, you heard it right. I love Publix for that and the convenient prices. read more

Every time I order a sub online I have to wait for it to be made when I arrive, even though I purposely arrive 15min after the pick up time. Today I ordered 1 sub for myself, and 15min later another order for my coworker. The first order was due for 1:05. When I arrived @ 1:45, the first order was not ready, i had prepaid this order. Yet the order placed 15min after was ready and I was to pay cash.... I understand a longer wait time during busy hours, but that expectation should be set at the beginning. If I could give this Publix zero stars I would OK, actually just the Publix deli I would give them zero stars they were rude a lot of cross-contamination I'm a frequent Publix goer and I've never experienced anything like that even at Walmart!!!! The sub makers talked back had no barbecue sauce made it extremely difficult I had to call a supervisor in order for them to toss my chicken tenders in barbecue sauce I told the woman what to do and she just looked me in the face and did whatever she wanted to myself if you want a fire pub sub do not go to this Publix I tried to show my friend the beauty of a pub sub and she's just disappointed and I'm disappointed she didn't have a better experience. I have lived in North Miami Beach for years and all I can say about this Publix is that the level of customer service has decreased significantly. The employees are rude, have no class, and most don't even speak proper English. recent events: 07/21/19: I needed groceries and a propane refill. After waiting in line for over 20 mins the cashier tells me that I have to go to customer service to purchase the propane. Had I had chosen to do as he said I would have had to wait in another line of 20+ people. 07/25/19: I asked the bakery attendant how much the ice cream cakes were. In very broken english he told me to go to customer service because he didn't know the price. On neither occasions did any of these employees offer to assist me like they should have. Every time I come to this Publix I leave unhappy and annoyed by the fact that the people who work there don't really care about the job they are doing. The only employee that is a true asset is DOC at the deli counter. Aside from him everyone needs to be trained and motivated to care for customers and their needs. I would also like to mention that most employees speak in their native language to each other. For instance on one occasion two employees were making fun of an older lady in creole. They thought that I wouldn't understand and guess what, I did. Calling a lady who is obviously not in good health a bitch in creole is not acceptable. Moving forward even though I live two blocks away I will shop at the Publix in Aventura. At that location the service is right where it needs to be. You get greeted, employees smile, you ask a question and employees help instead of look annoyed, the cashiers work fast to get customers through lines quickly. If you have been to a Publix before you know that they are mostly the same. It's a grocery store like any other. However there are a few things that make Publix stand out. They have great fresh meat and fish. Also they have fresh Sushi, both regular and brown rice. As well, Publix has a great deli section where you can get freshly made rotisserie or fried chicken. They also have fresh salads and sandwiches made with Boar's Head meats. The bakery makes delicious deserts and if you want, fantastic cakes. If your child has a birthday coming up, take a look at the vast variety of designs they can make for the occasion. May favorite thing about Publix however is one of their store policies. If your item rings up a different price that is marked on the shelf, they don't match the price. They give it to you for Free! Normally you have to put up a bit of an argument to get this deal but they quickly give in. I've gotten things for free that had the wrong tag in front of them. Bought 2 packs of Greenwise organic chicken legs with expiration Apr 9(today is Apr 5) one of them had a rotten smell of decomposing meat, had to throw it away. Which in it self is not the reason I'm giving a bad review, it's first time that's happened. The reason for a 2 star review is because when I tried to call and get in touch with meat department by pressing the appropriate number, their system completely ignored me. So I reached bakery and the person on the phone told me to call back and ask for customer service but there is no option in their automated system to talk to customer service. I tried going to this publix just to try something new, but I prefer the 6th & lennox publix more just because there are more selections and of course they have the publix sherbets. Everytime I go grocery shopping I have to get the peach/mango sherbet that one is by far the best the others are good . . . I just wouldn't say that I could eat that all day. That and my other new favorite flavor is the sherbet with blush orange, cactus pear, and some other fruit I can not recall at the moment. read more

They have a nice variety of food selections from organic to sweet treats. The place looks clean and is good to shop for pretty much anything. I think I died and went to Publix heaven. It's wonderful! Plenty of parking, brightly lit, huge selection, and a friendly friendly staff. Woohoo! Great variety of foodie items for a regular grocery store. I'm not sure I'll ever need quail eggs, but they have them. Happy to note they did not sacrifice shelf space for basics of life items. Perfect balance between necessary stuff and "Oh, cool! I saw that on Food Network last night!" type stuff. Didn't give it 5 stars b/c Publix chain is pricey. This is for the bakery dept. Shot out to Molly the bakery manager. To start this isn't my local Publix. I live closer to the one on Ives Dairy Rd. I was in the area and stopped in the bakery to see if they could make a MINECRAFT cake for my 6year old son. He is obsessed with minecraft and Publix doesn't have the licensed figures to do Minecraft cakes. Molly being a boy mom was totally knowledgeable of this craze. She promised to make me cake based on her skill to design cakes. She made my son such a beautiful and delicious cake exactly how I asked for. It was PERFECT! This is my second attempt. The first review was perfectly thought out but Yelp! found a way to screw it. I found this place randomly so I could get my breads. It was a typical grocery store, maybe a bit more compact. The bread was fresh, most likely baked daily. I witnessed drama on the Express Lane for those with 10 items or less. A female customer was checking out 50+ items, and an irate customer was screaming at the clerk, and store manager after she has left. He complained the store should honor the sign or take it down. I totally agreed with this irate customer. He stood up for being conned by this store's falsifed policy. He fought for the weak, i.e. the other customers. I applauded his effort and now I tried to sustain his effort. Unfortunately, the clerks were laughing after he walked away, and the customers were indifference. This was not a place to be... surrounded by weaklings. So shoppers, be weak and succumb to this store's manipulation (most likely happened at multiple areas). Or walk away. read more

Clara at the bakery is very helpful! I never really talk to the employees at publix since they always look so busy! I went to get my kids family birthday cake and she asked what I wanted, what I was looking for and trying to understand my needs at that moment. She helped me picked a good cake for children (went with a chocolate filled and frosting strawberries on top)... She managed to fit happy birthday Toño & Adri on the cake with little space! I've have been a customer for years. It has gradually become a worse store. The customer mix has become gradually shadier and more aggressive. There is hardly an occasion that I go to the store and an not have someone run their cart into you out of spite. They don't move over if they see you need to pass etc. The staff is not much better. I would not know this if I had not frequented other Publix locations. The don't greet you in the aisles or offer to help you. They hardly ever smile but for perhaps the deli counter. The lines at the register are always long. I don't understand why this store would endure a remodel and leave so much square footage empty. They lack a lot of the nicer features of other stores like more upscale prepared foods, olive bar, salad bar, soup bar etc. At this point I am only shopping there when I have no other options for the week. Come on Publix, with so much local competition you really need to step up your game. Get some more staff in the aisles and on the registers and fix your assortments. read more

This review is specific to the Deli shop and on line orders. I placed an order for a sub and it was not prepared the way I requested. The requests I placed in the area where you type were complete ignored. My requests were not hard things I simple asked the sub be toasted which is a service they provide and I asked for it to be cut in quarters. Not hard things to accomplish so It is my conclusion they just ignored them. I used to go to that Publix years ago as I have lived in the area for a very long time but I have stoped going as my experience there declined and each time I visited it went from bad to worse. This is the first time I have gone there in years. I will not be going back any time soon. When people take the time to make a request is because they need for things to be that way but this sandwich was prepared poorly and my requests ignored. read more

It used to be the case that I would go to Publix on Miami Gardens Drive every morning around 11 AM and I could get some fresh bread from the bakery. That is now a rare occurrence. Most of the time the bakery shelves are empty until much later in the day. So you essentially only find day old bread until about 3 PM. Now about the Deli: I used to order sliced turkey from the deli on line and pick it up when I arrive in the store hours later. 50% of the time they give me ham instead of turkey. 25% of the time they forget to fill the order. 25% of the time they get it right. read more
