Not really blown away by this place and it's extremely expensive for no reason ; I also have bought three items from this store which were expired. Half and half milk, chicken tenders, and slimy asparagus. I don't think their turnover is as good as it could be. I think it's one of the nicer markets for South Florida but the price is absurd. 400$ the other day for a day worth of groceries. Simple things like goat cheese and a raw onion. Their prepared foods are extremely over priced 20$-30$ for what? Angel hair and tomato? The price hike is astronomical. I can afford most things but I honestly can't quite wrap my head around 100$ two boneless ribeyes. 60 yes - 70 yes , 100$! I shopped only once at Plum Mkt North Miami Beach/Aventura location. I may shop again for certain items such as their large assortment of organic fruits and vegetables, although terribly expensive. My resentment comes from the steaks I had bought. Although they looked quite nice on the top in their packaging, underneath they were grey and smelly. This is unconscionable in any market. I realize that it is difficult to keep many grocery items fresh in transportation in the months from April to November, this was pretty disgusting. (This happened in April or May, I believe.) Their prices are far too expensive already for treatment like this. One also has to wonder what chemicals we are ingesting for the disguise of fresh, raw, red meat, even just on the top side... Note: I have encountered this in other groceries here, principally in their 'freshly cut', ready-to-go deli counter packaging. Unacceptable. read more

Just as I thought many of my friends told me they as well will never purchase anything at plum market in aventura not just because some of their food is expired on shelves, not because some of their fruits and vegetables are not fresh , but because their assistant lead Natalie is so very rude and has no customer service skills whatsoever. We all believe plum market will be going out of business in aventura due to their horrible managers !!! It's such a pleasure to go down the street to Whole Foods or fresh market or Miliams etc ... obviously those businesses care about good customer service which clearly plum market does not!!!!!!!! What a shame . This great establishment has gone down the crapper since it first opened with excellent supervision. I have Fresh Market, Whole Foods, Publix and Milans very close. I have elected to shop Plum but no more after today. Twice I have approached the produce managers to correctly label and place the organic items so the consumer knows what they are purchasing particularly since the dirty dozen kills overtime. I have been met with poor attitude, excuses about label ordering etc...Im done . Im a chef and a grandma not interested if they care not about the consumer. read more

I shop there several times a week. Caralina who says she's a team leader accused me of stealing green beens-needless to say my husband and I own hotels SHAME on her . If I was down and out I would never steel.The WORST team leader ever the regular employees are amazing and should be promoted and she should be out she isn't even presentable The worst experience I have ever had in my life. I went back to the people behind the counter after I put everything in my car and paid, of course to tell them because they have known me for such a long time one of the girls used to work at the Country club that I have been a member for over 30 years to tell them that Caroline thought I still, and they all told me to complain. I am not done complaining I wanna see how she is gonna be reprimanded because this is not acceptable. One of a kind upscale market that worth to check. Will find lots of items that's not available in other markets such as speciality grains and baked goods. Haven't try all of them but a lot of rave review mentioning the prepared food is worth to try. Tried the Sushi and yes it's fresh and taste good. I'll definitely be back again for it. read more

Was initially very excited after they have opened within a walking distance but finally decided that the distance does not compensate for the aggravation. Plum market is new to Aventura. It's much like a Fresh Market or Whole Foods. I was intrigued by international brands that I've never seen before. I want to come back for their hot food to go and salad bar. I got some of my favorite pasta and sauce along with some fresh bail and Japanese sweet potatoes. I couldn't resist the chocolate babka, from Isreal. I also got some air-chilled chicken breasts. The seafood looked super fresh. Most people were busy in the produce department. The market is medium sized but has everything that you could need. With helpful staff and plenty of stock, it made shopping easy. I will be stopping in again soon! read more

This place was much nicer and larger than I had expected when someone originally recommended Plum Market to me. They have everything you could possibly need food-wise and a great overall beer/wine selection- with many local as well as international options I don't often see in other grocery stores. The ready made hot food options to take to go all looked top notch and everything was extremely clean. This location's seafood selection was definitely a highlight for me- their stone crab claws were something I will be going back for. I also really enjoyed that for all local products the sign indicating the price also includes the distance of the producer from the store you are currently located in. Lets you see what is locally made and how far away. I will definitely be going back in the future. The only con or downside to shopping at Plum Market I noticed while there is that prices seemed slightly higher than other grocery stores in the area; however this place was a very pleasant shopping experience and I would highly recommend checking them out for yourself if you have not already! read more

Very expensive grocery store. Prices compared to stores down the street are much higher. I will say they do have a good selection of chopped fruit and packaged vegetables, but you are also going to be paying for that packaging. Chocolate section has a nice varied selection by local and non-local artisans. They also sell See's candies as well! We only come here once in a blue moon and don't regularly shop here. I don't see how someone could make Plum their regular grocery store with how high some of the prices were! I will say that the workers there were all very helpful in assisting me while shopping. I don't foresee myself returning anytime soon, but I will return when I'm in the need of specific items. read more

I treat this like a giant gourmet market. Think of this as the place to go to for fancy cheeses, hams and other goodies you want to splurge on. When you're in the mood for some feel good food, this is where you go. Love the variety of international and gourmet items. Last time around I got some truffle marcona almonds from Alicante, Spain and they were to die for. Much better than the ones from Trader Joe's. There is a lot of cooked foods available for lunch or dinner. They have a salad bar similar to whole foods. They also have a large variety of meats and fish. Really good cuts are available. Even at the deli, they have prosciutto di parma. The staff is very nice and helpful. They can help guide you if you're not sure what to get. They even have a wine sommelier which can guide your way through their wines! The market is very clean and organized. They have regular checkout lines and self checkout as well. I am OCD with AD/HD. This store is over the top OCD. My vegan daughter found a bunch of chocolate. I would say this is a bougie supermarket. Definitely come here to look for things that regular supermarkets won't have. Everything was clean. Both the vegetables and meats looked fresh. One of my pictures shows a half filled bottle of orange juice that someone left behind. I am sure that an employee will snatch it off the shelf as quickly as they can because it was so out of place. The entire time I was in there, all I could think of was the scene in Sleeping with the Enemy. Both my daughter and I would travel out of our way to shop here. read more

Plum Market recently opened on the border of Aventura and North Miami Beach. This is their first Florida location. It is reminiscent of a Whole Foods with more focus on providing local all natural, organic, specialty and locally sourced products, along with a buffet take out serving hot and cold prepared items. You can eat in the their indoor/outdoor lounge area. Plum Market wascreated in 2006 by brothers Matthew and Marc Jonna, third-generation grocers who first opened Merchant of Vino which expanded to 8 stores before being acquired by Whole Foods. The brothers went on to work in Whole Foods before leaving to open their own specialty market featuring natural, organic, and locally crafted items. Mathew Jonna calls his store "like Whole Foods, but better." Based out of Detroit they now operate more than 25 locations across the US with plans to open more. My friend found out about the Aventura store from Instagram and after her endorsement I stopped by to check them out after lunch in the area. The market is set up with sections of produce, groceries, apothecary, all natural and sustainably sourced meats and seafood, sushi, wine which can shipped through their service along with caviar, locally sourced baked goods and chocolates, and prepared foods. The store features more than 100 local brands including McGregor's Greens, Barbacuban, The Empanada Girl, Sullivan Street Bakery, Mother Kombucha, Ella's Flats, Laura's Gourmet Granola, Cigar City, Fullei Fresh, Wish Farms, Funky Buddha Brewery, and Florida based chocolatier, Norman Love Confections & Baked Goods. Plum Market offers a catering service that can make hot meals, hors d'oeuvres, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, artisanal cakes. The store has an international section and they are kosher and diet friendly. I was impressed with how the store is set up and and how clean and well presented everything was. Not so impressive are the prices. This store is aiming for the market of the well to do in Aventura although what they were charging wasn't keeping anyone out and store was very busy on the day after Christmas. Their prices are even higher than Whole Foods. What you get is a farmer's market experience but inside a grocery store. Unfortunately another factor aside from high prices that kept my visit brief was the temperature inside the store. It was 50 degrees outside and even colder in the store. I had a sweater on and I soon started shivering. When I stepped outside the store I actually warmed up. It was way too cold for me. if cost is not an issue this is a great store to find one of a kind items that can jazz up your meal time routine. They can also be a lifeline when looking for hard to source products. Just make sure you bring your winter coat when you visit. read more

Went here for the grand opening. They have some great deals, like buy one get one for Illy coffee, $0.99 jumbo avocado, $2.99 sumo oranges, $5.99/lb Iberico pork chop and $15/lb Parmigiano Reggiano. So yeah, go check it out while the bargain is still on! I also got a goodie bag which has a ridiculous amount of very nice samples of lotions, chocolates, snacks and more. After Amazon has taken over, Whole Foods has lost some of its focus on local and small brands. Plum Market is trying to be the old Whole Foods. Including the tasting tables and employees who greeted me as they walked by. And yup, the Whole Paycheck price tags too. If you love chocolate, you got to come and admire their selection, It's like the most gourmet brands I've seen in a while. They even have See's Candies too! For local representation, they have CAO, Exquisito and Norman Love from Fort Myers. They have an outdoor cafe area where you can enjoy the food you brought there. My only complain is that the aisles are really narrow, so with the grand opening crowd it was a bit claustrophobic. But I'll definitely be back another time, hopefully on a quieter day, to spend more time browsing around. read more

They sell everything from fresh produce, seafood, to packaged lunch, flowers, Valentine's Day gifts and more. I took the opportunity to eat lunch at their cute outside seating. Wow is this place amazing the food looks like it's out of a magazine. It's a cross between a fresh market and a Whole Foods. Not the size of a Whole Foods but the quality surpasses it by far. I just stopped in because I saw they were open. The have a few bogo items and a discount reward if you sign up. Different days different items on sale. I tried a few prepared items they all tasted fresh. The humus is made in house and is a must! The fish department looked great. I will be back to do a grocery shopping! read more

Lovely market, reminiscent of a Whole Foods, with more emphasis on specialties and variety. Find familiar brands with more extensive options of unique flavors. The prepared foods are well presented and the ones I tried were very good. The vegan Muhadarra, Moroccan chickpea empanada, mushroom bruschetta, and a few others were amongst these items and yummm!! Also, picked up a chocolate dome that was exquisite! (All of these are in the pictures i posted) the chocolate bar section was very hard to choose from and the beauty section I could browse for hours! Great place to find some nice gifts for all occasions, as well. Good quality products and availability found here! I'm extremely let down by this place. I had high hopes when I thought I had discovered an organic and clean market here. However, I was sold a fruit that was anything but a banana - it was unnaturally hard and definitely not a plantain. It seemed to be some artificially modified fruit labeled as organic. It was truly absurd. Despite this, I decided to be understanding and returned for my grocery shopping. To my dismay, the yogurt I bought was two weeks past its expiration date and still being sold on the shelves. however, they do have an incredible customer service and the people that work there are amazing. I was at the store during grand opening festivities. Produce - good assortment, stylishly displayed and well stocked. Meat and seafood - if I lived here I would shop here. When I have a layover in Miami this time of year, I buy stone crab to take home. The seafood counter had 3 sizes priced similarly to the seafood markets/restaurants from which I have purchased in the past. Brought my insulated bag! Excellent midnight snack when I arrived home. Plums carries items like caviar and frenched veal chops . Walking the center store , good curation of items. Example - ketchup section- wide offering of low or no sodium, no or low sugar, organic, one for 'delicate tummies' , who knew there were so many ketchup with attributes ? Lunch - salad and cold food bar, a hot food bar, and several soup kettles....better sellections than many casino buffets. Chicken noodle soup - perfect salt - good balance of broth, veggies, chicken and noodles. Chicken pot pie....flaky pastry with lots of chicken, not all the soupy gravy like bad chicken pot pies. Forgot how good they were. Not dialed in on local pricing, but this is not a discount grocery and carries a lot of items that by their nature are expensive, but my impression items were not overpriced for what they were.
