Love MY Publix! Winn Dixie is closer to home, but Publix is much more spacious and the selection is so much better, not to mention the service! Publix has it all and if they don't have something your looking for, the managers are so helpful that if and when possible they'll bring it in for the customer. If you love Publix as much as I do. Then you will really love this Publix. I love the layout, how it's never really busy (although I'm usually there at 3p, starving, and trying to get home before traffic hits). I live in the Gables, but I drop off notes regularly to an agency not two blocks from this place. And I make it a point - on the days that i go up there, to have my shopping list handy (and usually my appetite as well, because their sushi chef roller guy is God's brother). I went to buy a vanilla cake but all of their cakes are "1/2 and 1/2". When I asked what was in the cakes the rude attendee behind the counter said "It's half and half" and walked away. I'm allergic to chocolate and it doesn't make any sense that all of the cakes, ALL OF THE CAKES, are 1/2 and 1/2! That's the stupidest thing I have ever seen. How can all 20 of your cakes be 1/2 and 1/2? No wonder there were so many, cause no one buys them! It's obvious there are ignorant people running the bakery in this Public. This Publix is kind of weird, different selection of products from most other Publix stores. I went it here looking for a few things and could find almost nothing because the layout and product offerings are so different. Was a little disappointed. Parking isn't that awesome either. They do have a better than average wine selection though, and a larger than usual "healthy food" selection. Maybe that is what this specific area buys and they cater to that, it just sucks that some of the other areas seem to have been skimped on a little bit (deli, seafood, etc.) read more

Update: I was at this Publix's deli yesterday to get a sandwich. I was third in a line of almost fifteen people. Surprisingly, there was only one person making sandwiches while we all watched a young man leisurely sweeping the floor for twenty minutes behind the counter. I'm still not sure what and why he sweeping. QUESTION: Couldn't the deli manager see this long line and maybe get one other person to help? Maybe she could even allow the kid with the broom to help out? Or perhaps pull someone from the coldcut section that had much fewer customers? This deli is still terribly mismanaged. It's a shame because every other department in the store provides excellent service. Definity the weakest link in the chain. Unfortunately if I want a sub sandwich or cold cuts with my groceries, I must shop at another Publix. I feel bad that my possitive opinion of this wonderful store has gone down just because of deli managers and employees that just don't care. read more

Is there anything bad to say about publix? This location is wonderful. Not the biggest Publix I've seen, but well stocked, and has everything you need. Been coming to this Publix since I was a kid. Beautiful store, and very clean.. But the deli is a POS. They're always rude, or take more than 10-20 minutes to help you. They only nice people there are 2 elderly Colombian and Cuban ladies that act like your grandma and make sure you leave happy.. Everyone else.. For lack of a better word.. Sucks. They need to streamline the whole process or get better employees. read more

However today I was shopping for Sweet Loren cookie dough and they had cookie dough that had been expired since the previous year! I just couldn't believe it! This department needs closer monitoring! This particular location is pretty nice. It's big and very clean. You'll find almost everything you're looking for. I gave this location 3 stars just because of the deli & sub station. The deli takes forever & they don't call out your number loud enough to hear. One time they completely skipped over my number. When I went straight to the counter the second they did it (because I was listening very closely so I noticed they skipped me immediately) & the person behind the counter claimed they called it. They didn't....at all. I noticed the person they skipped me for seemed to be a friend which I found very suspicious. I assume they skipped me to try & serve their friend first, but I didn't allow it. On to the sub station. Oh my god! This sub station pisses me off consistently. On many occasions (I've actually lost count) I have been ignored even though I'm standing in line making direct eye contact with the employee there. One occasion was particularly infuriating. I was waiting in line while 2 people in front of me were getting their subs made. It took forever, but it was finally my turn. I proceded to the counter where the woman making the sub for the previous customer was & looked right at her preparing to give my order. She made eye contact with me & walked away & didn't come back. WTF! Really lady! I waited for someone to come over & when an employee finally showed up, they looked at me & then at the person in line behind me & asked what that person wanted. Um.....wow, I didn't know I had the power of invisibility. I told the employee that I was next & had been standing there for a while. Things like this happen every single time I go to the sub counter. EVERY time! It's like they think I'm just standing there for no reason. I have been ignored consistently & when I speak up, I'm the one who ends up looking rude, but I'm not. I'm just asserting that I was next & I always do it in a nice way. My mom went recently & had an issue too. It took forever to pick up subs because they had nothing prepared & had to slice almost everything she wanted. Shouldn't they be refilling all the ingredients all through out the day? Again this is a nice Publix, but someone really needs to teach the sub & deli people about good customer service. read more

This is my go-to Publix for groceries, last minute necessities or a quick bite at the bakery. They have a great selection of natural, gluten-free and organic products. The croquetas, pastelitos, Jamaican patties and fresh baked bread at the bakery are always hot, fresh and decadent. The cakes: Everyone in South Florida knows Publix has the BEST cakes. The store is clean and there's always a good number of open registers. Customer service is exceptional and staff is always willing to help. I'm holding back on that extra star because the deli does run a bit slow and grabbing a sandwich for lunch could take longer than expected. Overall, this is a great grocery store and I couldn't be happier that we're less than 5 minutes away. read more

Deli is way to slow. The sandwiches are great and understandably made to order but the arduously slow process leaves something to be desired. Whether ordering in person or online one must invest an inordinate amount of waiting time. Ordered a sandwich tonight o line at 9:16 PM with a ready time estimate of 8:40 and at 9:10 pm the sandwich is still being worked on for the last 10-12 minutes. There has to be a better solution to increased productivity. How can one plan if they order online for a specific pick up time and have to wait at the store and additional 30 minutes. Overall happy with my Publix. The only exception and the only thing keepin it from a five star rating is the Deli. I choose to buy my lunch meats from the Deli. Although it is more expensive than going to the boxed lunch meat section and picking up a box of ham, mortadella, cheese, etc.. I choose to pay a premium price for the freshness and the service of getting things as thin as I want. Here lies the problem. You ask for something paper thin and you get the look of death from the clerk, especialLy from the older clerks. The young ones do pretty good. The older ones will set the machine, show you a thin alIce and them reeadjust the machinE to give you thick slices. You find this out when you get home and see that the slices you got were not anywhere near the thin alice youu ordered. I know it is more work to make the slices of meat thin, but that is why I buy it from the Deli and pay a premium price. This really needs to be addressed. Sometimes calLing corporate at Lakeland is the only way. read more

Nice Publix, but it would be more convenient if they had a Pharmacy like other Publix stores. The local CVS has a 3 hour wait for precriptions, so shopping at this Publix and taking along my prescriptions would really be great. I have to say before I started coming to this publix on a regular basis, I always forgot it was here. It's the city's hidden gem of grocery stores. It's in a central location in the heart of Miami Lakes. I love coming here because it's so spacious, the parking lot is big and I don't feel stressed just from pulling into the parking lot. When you walk in the store overall has a sense of structure and organization. Everything is very well kept, and organized. The bakery and deli are next to each other and they have an amazing wine section and selection. I recently came here to order cupcakes for my birthday party and they were able to theme the cupcakes to my theme. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. They also have a great selection of mini desserts to choose from which were a hit with my guests. Grocery shopping wise, it's an easy store to navigate through and find what you're looking for. Coming here is no stress and your cookie cutter family friendly store. I love coming here. I drive the extra 10 minutes to come here to avoid the hassle and madness from the publix that is closer to my house, which gives me a twitch just thinking about it. This is my favorite publix by far! read more

It's a good Publix, but not the best. The employees are always nice (except for the one lady in the bakery who never smiles), but whether it is the deli, the sandwich bar, or the checkout lines, you will wait in line. They either need more staff or better management of the personnel. read more

This Publix is big and it gets BUSY!! Best times to go is early morning. Clean store and parking lot doesnt have carts thrown all over like other shopping centers. This publix is 5 miniuted away from my house and I have made a decision not to return to it.. Every Saturday in my house it is a tradition to buy french bread and "croquetas" from this publix, I would show at 7:45 and french bread was never ready. The cuban was always done. The bakery manager woild tell me "im sorry the bread is baking" I would replie "at what time do you open" she would say at 7 am. So now I had to wait for an additional hour for the bread to be made.. Another instance I was driving from Orlando Fl and I needed to place an order for ham and cheese. I tried using the app online but for some reason it was not working so I decided to call publix .. After being on hold for 20 minutes for a total of 4 calls . I asked to speak with the deli manager. Suddenly she gets on the phone like if she was running a 5K. I explained to her that I needed to place an order and she screams on the phone "your going to have to wait we are very busy" I said "I have been calling and been on hold for a whole hour" She responds with "im sorry your going to have to continue to hold" At this point I was shocked and have decided not to come back to this publix! Very poor customer service... I have been coming to this publix for over 5 years on a regular basis spending over $170 weekly!! Some people complain on the cost of publix and they decide to swtich to another supermarket but this person does not allow for poor customer service... read more

I've been going to this Publix since I moved to Miami and I love it! The service and employees are wonderful and it is well organized.
