I work for Publix and I have to say this one is one of the worst ones to go to. I purposely go out of my way to go to any other Publix besides this one. I've seen cashiers roll their eyes and yell at older women who couldn't hear them and I've gotten attitude from their customer service. I work for customer service! I know how we're supposed to treat customers, and it's definitely not the way this place treats them. Publix really is a great place to shop, and for the most part you can get almost anything the way you ask for it, but I wouldn't go to this one when there is another open right down the street. read more

Used to get my sub's from this location but never again bought a chicken tender sub around 9:45 pm and asked for a new white bread but the worker insisted on giving me a small half that was probably there cut since the afternoon so I get home and take a bit and it's completely stale so I through everything away. Since I bought the sub so late I figured I'd go in the morning to let me know. The next morning I went to the same girl that made it and she was like well it looked fine to me like seriously did you eat it so I asked for further assistance and another lady comes and asks for the sub back and I was like are you serious? If you want me to get it out of my trash can at home your out of your mind Shortly the manager comes and tell the ladies to make a fresh one. A few days pass and I go back with my husband to get a chicken sub again which to mention I spend so much money at this location and as soon as I approached the Same lady that made my sub a week ago she whispers to her coworkers "watch her complain again and not like it" and they all stare at me like I'm not a paying customer and I really need 6 dollars. Really disappointed and disgusted by the quality of employment they have there such a low class of society they look miserable it took every nerve not to start being upset. I somewhat stopped going to Publix, there's nothing wrong with the store itself but it's hard for me to find particular healthy brands many times so I usually shop elsewhere and especially for fresh goats milk because my son drinks it a lot. But since I'm often near this Publix I go here on occasion.Every time I end up going somewhere else other than Whole Foods,which carries goats milk in the half gallon, I look and hope the store that I'm in carries fresh goats milk (which they never do). A few weeks ago I needed some items for dinner and was shopping here at this Publix and I saw a manager, Scott Drew, and I decided to just ask him if they would ever consider carrying goats milk here. He wrote down the information and told me he would let me know either way. Well the other day I happen to go shopping here and they had the fresh goats milk in stock. I have to say I'm very happy about this because I don't have to make a special trip to a farther store just to buy it. Scott also followed up with me and called to tell me they had just gotten the goats milk in stock the other day. I wanted to write a review because I appreciate the great customer service Scott Drew provided and especially him following up to let me know. I'll definitely be coming back to this Publix. By the way I really don't write many reviews and since I'm taking the time to write this I do want to let Publix know that many customers are more health conscious these days and they should really look into replacing the many products that have really unhealthy ingredients. Many of the processed foods that are marketed to young children have no nutritional value and are causing many health problems at such a young age. And like the consumer, who can vote with their wallet, Publix can vote with theirs too. If companies see that you want to carry products with healthier ingredients, then they will have to step up and change what they are putting into their food products. I do see that Publix has made some small changes such as their Green Wise brand and some of the Publix's have part of an isle dedicated to healthier choice brands which is great and also have some great organic brands placed here and there though out the store . This is just my opinion but I thought I would bring this to Publix's attention because maybe there are many other customers who think the same thing as myself. read more

Really Publix? On a Sat & you're insufficiently staffed with baggers. Two bagging for 8 open lanes, one restocking paper bags, & 2-3 outside picking up carts where there is an abundance in the store!! I'm one aggravated customer today after spending $225 and having to bag and load my car. Shopping at Publix was certainly NOT a pleasure. read more

Now that I've moved from Pembroke Park to Pembroke Pines, I now shop at the University Commons Publix location. It's nicer than Miramar Town Center but not as nice as Monarch Lakes. The merchandise selection is impressive, the aisles are wide, the store is well lit, and I never have a problem finding a cashier WITH a bagger to load my shopping cart with groceries. There's only one reason why this store does not get 5 stars...THE LADIES' ROOM! If I need to use it, it is ALWAYS messy. The floor is usually wet. Inconsiderate shoppers toss their paper towels on the floor instead of using the trash can. My BIGGEST problem with the situation...either there's extremely poor water pressure in the plumbing OR some women just don't want to flush! A disgusting toilet bowl does NOT make for a pleasant shopping experience! What I would recommend is to invest in new toilets which will work with low pressure AND for Publix to consider the use of touchless "auto-flush" technology. Air freshener and electric hand dryers would not hurt, either. If the Ladies' Room is renovated, I will be happy to give this store a 5 star rating. read more

Excellent publix. But the main story is there new Spanish pastry cafe inside. I've seen it but never had the inclination to order anything, it said cafe con Leche on menu, but I just assumed the worst. But alas, today I said why not!!! I approach and place my order, it's a Caucasian woman making the coffee, i honestly was a little hesitant but I had to tell myself assume the best, maybe she got skills. Then I see her steam the milk in a Pyrex storage container, I get even more nervous that maybe I made a mistake, As she's steaming the milk she looks at me like "don't give me any crap" which had me giggling to myself cuz she probably read my face of course, i taste the coffee.............it was good!!!! I was impressed with her crazy skills, she added sugar herself and it wasn't too much or too little, just right. Good coffee in a publix nearby, thanks. I know where to go and not have to fight over my inability to speak spanish. Thank you again hometown publix, on behalf of all coffee feans. read more

Just wanted to share an experience I had, I purchased a cake but when the lady wrote my girlfriends name on it, it was sloppy and not legible. I didn't say anything because I don't like to make a big deal out of things. But the cashier cheyanne and the young lady bagging my stuff, Danyelle, quickly noticed and told me I shouldn't except this. They quickly called their manager over , I didn't catch her name unfortunately, and she got a me a new cake at no extra cost. These 3 people turned my 1 star experience into a 5 star experience and are the people that make this company great. Thank you guys read more

This review is the correct review for having your assistant manager give me a rude attitude when I asked her to refund my money from the lottery machine tonight. Somthing that should have taken 3 minutes end up taking about 25 minutes. My wife was waiting patiently and I was trying to be patient but her attitude dealing with me was very tasteless. read more

We have been shopping here for years. What I like most is the produce dept. The staff keep it well stock and its always fresh. The store displays are always kept stock and the isles are clean. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. read more

This is my Publix I have been pleased with this store ,however I have taken notice the overall gradual decline of this store in the past year or two.The deli by far is the worst filthy , floors as well as the slicers disorganized and slow pass the buck kind of staff.It was 9pm Fri.there was no one to be found to serve me after 5-6 min someone showed up no apology she seemed annoyed that I eas there no paper between the cheese I asked spec.for Boars head low sodium turkey she gave me Publix.The poorest work ethic.However the young men in dairy are kind proper helpful and ready to help get something in the back ...Perhaps I'll start shopping at the Plantation store by my job they have nice seasonal displays and endcaps.Everything is fully stocked neat clean and organized.The managers are well mannered always actively doing something to make the store better they are available,and approachable.This Publix is going downhill. read more

Publix is the best grocery store i have ever been to, period. The produce is always the freshest and best quality. The meat is always trimmed and cut the way I like it, or they will cut and package what I need with a smile. They have wide clean aisles and the nicest friendliest employees at any store of any kind I have ever visited. The deli and bakery have good food and great people who really want to help you with your purchase. I know this sounds like a commercial so here are the bad things. Maybe twice in 25 years I have bought something that wasn't at its best so I returned it. So here we go... big hassle, right? Wrong, no questions asked"we are sorry, here is your money". I know some people say the price is higher than some other stores but you get what you pay for. Besides, with weekly BOGO deals (that I don't need to give my personal info to get a card), special sales weekly and the freshest food in town, I'll bet my grocery bill isn't much higher than at stinky old DinWiksy. My favorite deli is at Pembroke Commons, those ladies are the best. read more

The employees in the Publix are very nice, very clean grocery store. Everyone is always willing to help you out and even ask as they walk by you. The management is doing avery good job with this store! I do agree with one of the reviews the two times I used the bathroom it was messy and dirty. read more

I have been going to this Publix for 8 years. In general it has helpful, friendly employees especially the cashiers. The butcher is also always helpful. He has no problem cutting a specific roast for you or helping you out with butchers twine etc. I love that. The little things keep me coming back. . Now for the bad.. The deli.. I don't understand why they have such a problem with cutting things very thin.. It is so annoying when I get one pound of boiled ham sliced very thin, I always have to deal with an attitude. I try to be so nice about it too! Now Ive had to ask for it shaved so they slice it thin. I have walked away because I have had them argue with me that its thin enough. its ridiculous.. I understand it is more work to cut things thinner. I worked at a deli in my early 20s so I know its annoying but come on what happened to customer service.. I have complained about it to the manager more than once. I now no longer by anything from the deli for months now. if I want sliced deli I go to Doris market. Its a shame they cant correct that.. read more
