Stopped in for a sandwich on Saturday (04/04/2026 at 5:30 PM), and this visit was a letdown from start to finish. It took 25 minutes just to get a simple deli sandwich. The staff moved at a painfully slow pace and showed no urgency, even as the line grew -- at one point, nine people were waiting to be helped. I also asked an employee stocking rotisserie chickens if they had any chicken tenders available. He checked and came back to say they'd need another 15 minutes to cook. Publix had become the leading supermarket in Florida and has since expanded throughout the southeastern United States. They became the leading supermarket by putting a strong emphasis on customer service. They bring the adage "the customer is always right" to new levels. Add to this fantastic BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and that alone makes for a winning combination. Add to this the iconic subs that they make in their deli (affectionately known as Pub Subs) and they become virtually unbeatable. These subs are pretty amazing. I usually go with their Italian sub or their roast beef. Both are excellent and I guess anything you would order at their deli counter would be a winner. I must say that I would definitely recommend this particular location or any Publix, for that matter. I choose to give it five stars for their steps in making sure a visit to a Publix is always a wonderful experience. read more

We were forced to switch to a different publix. Last week we got pot pies that thawed, then frozen again. Then we got a veggie sub with plastic that had accidentally fallen in there. I did not take a picture, but the manager knows. This week we got maggot infested fruit. Always a surprise. Skip on this location. It is probably one of the most run down, Publix stores I have ever been to, I have lived in Seffner/Dover area and shopped there more often than I care to. Sometime I will drive to Plant City or Brandon to avoid going to the one on MLK. Even Winn Dixie remodeled their two stores withing a few miles of each other. Poorly lit, dirty, missing many items I can get at other stores. Deli looks like a bad rod side diner. C'mon Publix. Spend some money fix this place u, r build a new one. Area is growing like crazy. 2 Stars because - this is Publix, you expect better because you normally get better... Not this Publix and not today. It's lunchtime and Publix does as much business at lunchtime as Chick-Fil-La... almost impossible to think that this one does. Ashley was nice but it's hard to think she was okay with being the only one filling orders when everyone else seemed like they took a break after a sandwich was made. This review combines 3 or 4 visits... none of them very good. From the bakery to the meat department I can honestly say that the professionalism at this Publix is nothing like any of the other stores I've been to. Products that you'd expect to be in the same aisle are spread all over the store. I guess it's a good thing that the first section you encounter is the wine because after hunting all over for things, you'll need a drink. I've never seen the manager, and this store definitely doesn't have the family friendly feel that other Publix stores have. I had to go outside to make sure I wasn't in Winn Dixie... sad. Ok I Love this Publix. It's always clean, and they always have what I go in to get. I have been shopping here since I moved here in February. Here lately there has been some problems with people hanging outside the store and accosting customers for money. This makes for a very stressful and unnerving visit to the grocery store. How can you ever go wrong when you hear the word Publix. This grocery store is a staple in the south. It's the most professional, caring, Chick-fil-A level chain of grocery stores. Although I don't shop here as much their sales are very good and you can always find a good deal through coupons. However, I mainly just go for the Publix subs. You can never go wrong with them! So the service here has declined every time I come in here and this time is no different. I was the only one in the deli and with 3 workers they took at least 10 minutes to get to me. It wouldn't have been that bad f someone had let me know that they were busy. DO NOT GO TO THIS PUBLIX IF YOU ARE TRYING TO AVOID CATCHING COVID. I wish I could do negative stars. You know, because shopping here could kill you. Yesterday, December 29, roughly 1 in 4 people in the Seffner Publix did not have a mask on, did not have one around their neck, no mask period. No employee did anything about it. No offer of a mask, no announcement over the intercom. Nothing. Additionally, some vendors stocking the store who wore mask wore them I incorrectly, ineffectively. I called and spoke with Kevin, the assistant store manager, and he said that the state law allows people to do this. I pointed out that his store was a business operating In Hillsborough County and that the county had an order requiring masks and requiring businesses to enforce the the order so they were knowingly operating in violation of the county order. He repeated the state loop hole comment and I thanked him and advised that I was going up his chain of command. Please report businesses that choose to ignore these orders. This is the only way we are going to make it safe for ALL of us to function normally again. read more

In the Mango/Seffner area Publix is a go too for this town. I can come in and always get hot fresh food from the deli and bakery. The fruits and veggies are always a winner here. Today I was on a mission to find a certain over the counter medication and unfortunately they did not have it, however they were more than helpful to come and help me look just incase I missed it. I was given a few other suggestions to look into and it fit my needs perfectly. I love how Publix marks all their sales on the isle and end caps to be seen easily. I can get in and out pretty quickly here. The store is always clean and there is always someone asking how my day has been and willing to help me, either find my item or carry my groceries out to the car. Once in a while I get the colorful spring flowers they have here as well. Great price and they last a long time. read more

Publix is by far the best market in Seffner. This location is not as fancy as some other stores. However, the bakery, the deli, the produce, the meat etc. are exceptional as you would expect at any Publix store. I shop here at least twice a month and always find everything I need. read more

Overall my cost was pleasant until the cashier was rude mfer. Her name was Jackie, she was an older lady, she had a nasty attitude towards me and threw my sub down the isle with force. Also she never told me my total and just let me stand there for about 35 seconds without saying anything, she never said a word to me only complained about the closer the night before not stocking her station to her manager at 6:00 PM. In my opinion that's unprofessional. Also she had a lot to say to a woman In front of me in line, I feel neglected and singled out. I hope someone reaches out to me about this. Needless to say I left with no balloons. and on several occasions when we have ordered wings from the store they are never ready, even when placing the order in advance. This bag boy Zane did an excellent job putting are groceries in bags. He asked if we wanted paper or plastic and also if we wanted the groceries double bagged. What a remarkable young man. My husband and I have been shopping at this Publix for over 2. 1/2 years since we moved here the customer service is amazing . They always say hello offer to help with anything you want . I'm there 2 times a week getting fresh fruit and veggies they always go out of their way and will get fruit from the back if I need it . The fruit is always fresh and delicious . The bakery has fresh breads and very good desserts . They are always helpful and kind and slice bread for me . The lady in the seafood department is always helpful and makes good fish suggestions . All the check out staff are so friendly and the staff that bags the groceries are always kind and offer to take your groceries out . The store is always clean , people wear masks . We shopped there weekly during the height of the pandemic and they were always cleaning the carts and keeping it clean . I do wish a the owner of shopping center would clean up the overall appearance of the plaza and parking lot . I am very happy with this Publix and the management is always around and says hello . read more

I've been shopping at this location for years and always found this store to be clean and well stocked. The store has a wide variety of organic products, including produce and for the past few months, a great deal on organic kiwi! The deli department is super-friendly as well as patient, and always treats my elderly father with the utmost respect too. I love coming to this Publix almost every afternoon but this afternoon was something different, something better. I was with my aunt getting a Publix sandwich for her and my uncle and the man at the deli was so nice. He was making conversation with the 13 year old in front of us and greeted us when we were placing our order. He asked us things like how was your day or did you go to work today and things like that and it just made my day. His name was Shawn and his tag said he'd been working there since 2017.
