This review is for vaccinations at this location's pharmacy. This is the location where I have received my last two flu shots, and today, I had the first of my COVID vaccine series. For flu shots, you can walk in and request a shot. That process takes about 15 minutes, between filling out a form and having them verify your insurance. Usually, there's some sort of Publix gift card associated with getting your flu shot there. For the COVID vaccine, you need to sign up online. Right now, you really should try to sign up as soon as they drop more appointments (usually at 6 or 7am a few times per week, check your local paper). It took 20 minutes of my cellphones refreshing before I was able to get into their scheduler, but after that, everything couldn't be easier. I was able to go to my local store, and the whole in-person process from there was less than 20 minutes, from filling out the form, getting the shot, to waiting for 15 minutes (in the store, can wait in the observation area or browse the aisles). Much easier than the reports from the county COVID programs! read more

This is a huge Publix. I like it very much . Service is spot on. The associates are always ready to help and to take you exactly where you need to go to find a product. They are extremely friendly.. The deli - specifically the subs. I get a Publix sub every Friday (the cuban, usually). The prep has getting progressively worse for a few months, so much so that I will not frequent this store any longer. My last couple sandwiches have looked like first grade science projects, sloppy, inconsistent blobs prepared with little care. I am a lifelong Publix customer and am sorely disappointed in this. It's a sad thing when the person, specifically Bryan, doesn't say hello back when you take the time to greet them. I would think he would be greeting me. Doesn't tell me the total, rips the receipt out and gives it to me, no "thank you" "have a good day" nothing. So I said "I guess you don't speak?" I travel to Publix on Neptune on a regular basis, however, every time I go to the deli where it's the hot food, the Asian lady there will not help me. I said excuse me can I get some help herself and a young man both looked at me and continue to do what they were doing. She proceeded to grab something out of the trash like a receipt show as I stood there on my lunch break, trying to get hot food so I could eat hot food for my dinner. however, she did not acknowledge me. Neither did the boy so I proceeded to go get a cold sandwich for my dinner. Spoke to somebody named Jeremy and made a complaint. However, this is not the first time that she has ignored me when I've come I don't know why she doesn't like to wait on me. I don't know why she doesn't like to help me however I am done. I'm very upset and something has to be done with. I don't acknowledge the customer there when she clearly seen me. Shopping is rarely a pleasure at this Publix location. Only three registers open (although self-serve registers were available) on a busy Friday afternoon. Waited in line for several minutes. Register did not ring up advertised BOGO deal. After pointing it out, card was credited. Female manager bagged my groceries. Got home and two prepared items for a dinner this evening was missing. Called customer service and the rep said to bring in receipt next time for credit without an apology or solution. Publix has delivery... why not bring me my items? Even offer to park in pick-up... something. He apologized when became frustrated and I asked if the items were turned in; he confirmed and then apologized (like pulling teeth). Drove back to the store and waited in another line. The male rep asked what I needed and I told him a bag was left out of my cart. The female manager (who left the bag out of my cart) told him it was at Instacart fridge. He brought it back to me and neither apologized for the inconvenience or even, "have a great day" or "thank you for shipping Publix!" Winn Dixie sounds like a much better option in the future. read more

Over the last 8 months or so, I've experienced more and more subpar available food in this store. And the straw that broke the camel's back was the rude pharmacy tech on the phone. I shop(ped) at this store often. We're talking several times a week. On multiple occasions I've had green beans in packages without dates, so I can't tell which are the most recently put out bags, that have gone bad in a few days....I've seen an entire display of way under ripe bananas and NONE available to eat that day, other produce that just looked terrible and inedible (beets' greens)... On multiple occasions I've had deli meats where I order only 2-3 slices of one or 2 meats and a slice or 2 of cheese and found that the meats don't last past that day. I've shared this with people in the store, even while waiting in the deli line. And I package them in zip locks when I get them home. Then not to long ago, there is a dirty dining report on several Publix's delis and THIS ONE was one of them! Ewwww. In addition to the bad food they are giving to customers to buy, the employees behind the deli counter are incompetent and don't care what is said or done while customers are waiting for them to stop bitching or complaining about one thing or another and are just slow. Seems they need a new deli manager. I've also seen the entire stock of a particular item on the shelves in the ethnic section EXPIRED and had to bring it to the store manager's attention to pull from the shelves. Yesterday, I called the pharmacy (I moved from the Gandy store to this one) in response to a message they left while I was out of town and help straighten out insurance information and was cut off and unable to explain the situation in a sentence or 2...as it turns out there was a change in the Rx, anyway and planned to have the order filled once corrected but found a better, cheaper route with actual customer service that understands what customer service is. I thought and hoped this store would actually be a great store. I've shopped Publix my entire life. This is a sad excuse for a Publix. One star for the bakery - and the manager. And one star for the meat guys - they are great too. I'll be going back to the Gandy store. read more

This is not my normal publix, I usually go to one on Bayshore! But occasionally I will go here if I'm in the area for work. This publix truly did an amazing job on the whole beef tenderloin I specially ordered for a party I was throwing. This was my first beef tenderloin attempt at home and I was nervous to mess it up, especially since it's an expensive piece of meat!! the meat manager at this publix hooked it up and did an amazing job, trimming the fat and tying it up for me. They found the biggest cut they could for all my guests and it was the perfect amount! They even gave me tips on how to prepare it at home. It turned out amazing and all my guests loved it! I usually go to this Publix--I went yesterday to do my shopping and one of the items I bought was a 30 count of eggs. I put the eggs on the bottom of the cart on top of my seltzer's. As I was a foot away from my car the eggs fell and broke everywhere in the parking lot. I really didn't want to leave broken eggs all over the parking lot or leave trash in the parking lot so I was about to start picking them up. I was a little annoyed because then I'd have to also go back inside and wait in line to buy eggs again. A girl by the name of Kennedy was outside gathering carts. She came up to me and told me she would clean the eggs and she would go inside and get me a new box of eggs. She was so calm and so sweet and did not seem annoyed or angry by the broken eggs. She seemed so happy to help & she seemed happy to be at her job. I was honestly so impressed because I feel like in most cases people would be annoyed if something like this happened. I thanked her multiple times. I really could not believe how helpful she was. Her attitude was everything any employer would hope to have. So props to Kennedy!!! She deserves a raise. read more

Far and away the least friendly publix staff i have ever encountered. I walked in and ask for some help and they acted like i had inconvenienced them in such a major way when the employees were just standing there at customer service doing nothing. Beyond disgusted with the customer service at Publix. 1pm on a Tuesday I run into publix to get lunch. The hot food in the deli is 90% sold out. I understand it's lunch time but it's jus poor management to run out of food and not have anything available for 20 to 30 min. I made the mistake of going to customer service where the woman was completely irritated that I was bothering her. I started to explain to her that it's pretty inconvenient to customers when they run out of food during prime lunch time. The woman in customer service started reading papers in front of her, never looked me in the eye, never engaged except to say. "I don't work in the deli" I'm so sick and tired of publix thinking it can treat customers like dirt. I cannot speak for the entire Publix, but this location is not near my house and I pass probably 3-4 others just to use the Pharmacy. The 3 people that I have had the pleasure of dealing with have been amazing. My wife has some medical issues, along with being pregnant (high risk) so I am making medication runs 1-2 a month. They are always honest with us, they're incredibly friendly to my 3 young sons when they're with me and I appreciate they aren't just pushing pills - they care about what they're doing. Food: This is where the loss of a 5 star rating came from. Unfortunately, the produce, for whatever reason never seems to be fresh here. For instance, I bought 2 cucumbers yesterday and out of all of the cucumbers, mine looked and felt the best, but compared to the Publix on Gandy, these would be the worst ones left. The peppers were black and the cucumbers were squishy. Not sure if the temperature is off, because if the Publix on Gandy can offer fresh produce, this location should also be able to! Yesterday wasn't the first time I've been disappointed! Cleanliness: I've always had a pleasant experience here and never see the store look unorganized or dirty. Parking: With the renovation of Publix, they also repainted the parking lot lines and added in new shopping cart returns. They're sort of hard to find in the parking lot, so most people are too lazy to return their cart :/ Pricing: fair. There's "always" a BOGO special going on here. Weekly specials run from Wednesday to the following Wednesday. Employees: Publix has always done a wonderful job of hiring passionate and caring individuals. They're always willing to help me locate an item, bag my groceries, and help me to my car. Great service! read more

Okay, I still really like this Publix but they need to get their crapola together when it comes to online ordering at the deli. As I said in the previous review, their subs are an awesome gift from the hangover gods (whom I pray to a little too much of course), but the past three or four times I've placed an online order I've had to wait in the sub line and ask them to make my order because it was over half an hour past the time the interwebs said it'd be ready. Maybe more deli employees? Doesn't seem like there is a protocol in place to figure out how to deal with online orders while face-to-face orders keep walking up. read more

This location has gotten a really nice facelift from a recent renovation. Everything is very well stocked and organized to the max. Especially the ethnic food section. In this section, they have every category from different parts of the world labeled. The wine section is a lot larger too! They appear to be using the latest format for Publix stores of this size. I can only assume that they will perform this renovation for others in the Tampa Bay area. The interior design is very modern chic and clean. The staff as usual are always helpful and friendly. I'm glad to see this Publix back at this location as it is located in the back of Britton plaza which conveniently has a couple of other stores that I like within there. I forgot to mention that the parking lot and building façade has also been upgraded. read more

This Publix perplexes me. Around the corner is the Gandy Publix (literally, around the corner) and when you count, you realize there are 5 Publix markets south of Kennedy. When I moved to Gainesville for grad school, this was a pretty terrible Albertson's... maybe when the lease runs out on the Gandy store they'll consolidate to a single space. The store itself is pretty nice - newer than the Gandy store, and certainly well appointed. Britton Plaza continues on, in spite of its need for a serious upgrade. read more

I preordered a cookie cake for my daughter's 10th birthday for pick up on a certain day. The day before pickup, I tested positive for covid, thus my household is under quarantine. I called Publix to see if we could prepay then get curbside pickup. I was placed on hold to see if they allowed curbside pickup to someone on quarantine (it would have been my husband who hasn't tested positive picking up). The worker got back on the phone and said they could delivery under "catering" and bakery was included under catering. She personally contactless delivered our cake with a birthday balloon to our home. This made my day! Thank you Publix. They had no clue that my 10yr old would be celebrating her 10th birthday in lockdown with her covid positive 17wks pregnant mom. read more

I wasn't sure before but today the scales were tipped (negatively) by an interaction I witnessed in the deli. A lady was trying to order some hot foods and didn't know it could be made into a meal. Instead of saying, "Hey, that can be made into a meal for cheaper. Can I do that for you?" The 2 counter people looked at her confused, then 1 of them raised her voice and said, "you want a meal?" The lady ordering looked up at the menu and said, I guess. The counter person, again, voice raised in clearly some unreasonable state of frustration with a customer who didn't know any better, said "2 quarters? That's a half! Do you want a half?", looking at the lady ordering. It was bizarre. Then, after the lady ordering wales away, the 2 counter people joked about her behind her back as she was walking away. Where shopping is a pleasure & subs are delicious! Right now you can get any sub you want (including boars Head) for only $5.99! You can even order ahead online to skip the line! My favorite is the buccaneer sub on multigrain bread! Fresh veggies galore! The employees are always very nice and attentive! Some other must try's are the Publix lemonade (the only one I've found as good as, or even maybe slightly better than, chic-fila) and their chicken tenders! For the healthy side, organic girl greens are always super fresh (definitely worth the extra couple bucks). Nellie eggs are hands down the absolute best eggs I've ever had, there's no comparison and trust me I've even done side by side tastes tests (including farm fresh eggs from the farmers market). I have not had any bad experience here. The store is always very clean and organized. There are never different types of produce thrown together and the meat and seafood section is always cleaned and organized. Those associates will break already made packages to satisfy the customer. The prices are always comparable to other stores and the BOGO deals are the best! The protein area has lots of selections and they have great coupons for the better brands. There are always employees out on each aisle to help. When I ask them questions, they are always readily available to answer and if they don't know the answer, they find out. This store was renovated from an Albertsons and it is great to have a Publix in a popular shopping center. read more

This is my neighborhood Publix and I've always been a fan of Publix. I never have any problems when I'm there and I can almost always find what I'm looking for. The staff is always helpful and I always get asked if I want help taking my groceries to my car. I appreciate that however I never take them up on the offer. I'm sad it's going to be closed for remodel starting next month but I look forward to a newer and more updated store. I love their samples and recipes that they give out on the weekends. read more

I Love Publix and in some areas the service has went down but in this particular store it is on point. Very helpful and courteous. Friendly service and I don't shop anywhere else. All areas are great and if i ever have a problem its resolved immediately. Been shopping at Neptune publix for 30 years very Happy with service and products. Now convenient the Britton Plaza Publix. This store does not seem to have the same standards at all! Have found numerous expired foods like Hummus and little smokie wieners several others too. The deli department that makes the salads does a very poor job. Salads are frequently under stocked. There is little care with there prep i.e. old lettuce that is wilted and brown. Today I had 7 layer salad that had big gross fatty pieces of meat. Please try to improve this department and the overall management of this store or back to Neptune I'll go read more

This is the worst ran deli that I've ever been to. I Stopped by at 5:30 to grab a chicken dinner for the kids. I stood in line for nearly 10 mins. When it was finally my turn, I told the lady that I wanted the 16 piece combo. As I was about to correct myself and say 2 8 pieces, she was gone. I saw her speaking to her manager for 5 mins before coming back to tell me that they didn't have a 16 piece... Duhhh if you would have not left before I was done speaking I could have told you this.... so, she starts taking my side orders and starts speaking with a Co worker in the middle of helping me. Then to make matters worse she puts my order down and leaves the deli. She was gone for like 10 minutes. Meanwhile there is a line of customers behind me and 2 workers standing around doing nothing. Once the lady came back, I ordered 3 mac m cheeses and one corn... She scraped the mac n cheese out and fit into one cup. They didn't have any more mac n cheese prepared and they were out of every other side. I was so frustrated. This is the busiest time. People are getting out of work and trying to pick up a quick dinner. Yet these people were so unprepared and walked around with attitudes. Next time I will stop at the publix closer to home. read more
