This is my favorite Publix and I'm typically pleased and satisfied with the service and product. Today though I just wanted to say: - The brisket today was particularly TOUGH. It is usually SO tender. Idk if it was under or over cooked today, I couldn't tell, but it wasn't edible and I wasn't able to eat it at all. Couldn't even chew it! - also, PLEASE stop talking over the food when y'all making the sandwiches. I get making a quick comment or two, but they don't wear mask most of the time and I cringe at the thought of a stray piece of spit hitting my food. The staff is lovely, so it's not a personal complaint on anyone in particular, but I notice a LOT of talking and laughing over the food and reaching over each other to grab things. - There's a young black guy there who, I mostly see in the evenings making sandwiches and whom I love getting because he's so conscious of food safety and never talks over the food, always shields the food when he's doing things, never leaves my food unattended and open to walk off and go find things. This Publix should get a 6 star review but yelp says 5 stars is the best so OK but it has to be the best run and best staffed Publix in the country. What a pleasure it is to shop here...there are so many great managers and staff. Today, it was Esmeralda's efforts and kindness. She is such a wonderful and hardworking cashier. Ordered on the app for curbside pick up... First I didn't want to go to this Publix but after the app charged me it said this was the only one for curbside pick up. Tried to cancel order but unable to. So went there anyway to pick up my 3 items. They brought me my bag and I was on my way. After I got home to put the 3 items away I realized there was only 1 item in the bag. I checked the app to make sure I indeed did chose 3 items and I did. I wasnt charged for the other 2 but Apparently they said fuck it we are only going to give him 1 thing on his order, and not tell him. read more

As a Florida native son, my love for Publix has only grown over my years of living. It isn't an exaggeration to say that I have spent hundreds or thousands of times going to this Publix location, and I truly love it. They're human, in both good and not so good senses of the word. They care about their customers, whether it's knowing your name or asking how your family is, you can tell. The amazing thing about living here for so long, is that I have been blessed with seeing the staff change over the years. Some people come, and go. I went to the meat department and ordered a 9 pound standing rib roast.. I went back at the agreed to time and they had not processed my order. They had the receipt but nothing was done. No problem. They told me to come back at another agreed date. To my surprise they had no record of it this time not even the receipt they had last time. Very bad form Publix. I ended up buying an 8 pound roast with no ribs. Not what I wanted. Sadly I don't have any more time to invest in procuring beef for Thanksgiving. Usually happy with Publix. Not today. read more

I love Publix. Shopping truly is a pleasure there! This is the one closest to my home and I have just grown so used to it and absolutely love getting my grocery there. Service is good and the shop is kept very clean. Parking is never a problem. The pub subs are the greatest deli sandwiches I have had and I don't think I could move out of the south now. Also close to a gas station and a few other eating options (pizza predict, Dunkin' Donuts, some Asian pick up place and subway) so you have a few options in case your not in the mood for pub sub. read more

I generally like Publix, but the staff and location of this particular market is what keeps me coming back. The younger staff are particularly friendly and helpful. A previous reviewer stated that this Publix did not have bananas or a sushi chef/take home sushi. However, they always have bananas when I go (I go almost every other day and I pay attention because bananas are usually on my shopping list) and they have had a sushi chef/take home sushi for as long as I can remember (I have been coming to this Publix for over a year). It's possible that they have made improvements since the beginning of 2014. Actually, I made a complaint to a manager once about staff letting people with more than 10 items through the express checkout, but the feedback seem to be well-received and I haven't run into the problem again since. read more

Apparently there is another Publix at the other end of Cross Creek. I live near this one at Morris Bridge Rd. Best around. Friendly helpful people, fresh foods and not sure what these other reviews mean about the Deli because I've never had any problem except a wait sometimes because they are very busy. They go out of their way for you to help. read more

I can't say how the rest if the store operates but the Deli is a joke. I guess they only know one phrase which is "It will be ready in 10 minutes" how many times should you wait 10 more minutes? What a joke. Really incredible as Publix as known to be a superior shopping experience read more

What has happened to being helped out with your groceries? Just had no offer to help in getting 8 bags to my car. The cashier and bagger were more interested in continuing their conversation. They barely remembered to ask if plastic was okay and to say thank you. This is not the kind of service that I am use to receiving at Publix. read more

Clean and friendly.... shopping is definitely a pleasure.... BUT this is a small understocked Publix and they didn't have many of the staples I usually get from my local one in Temple Terrace. Don't believe me? On my most recent trip, they either didn't carry or were out of: -Italian sweet cream coffee creamer -Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk -Frozen spinach stuffed chicken breasts -Bananas in the main produce section (I kid you not) -Etc. You get the picture. Also, they don't have a sushi chef or carry any take home sushi like the majority of other Publixes in Tampa. Sushi is a BIG moneymaker at Publix... what gives? I was told to give feedback a few months ago suggesting sushi and of course that didn't go anywhere. Oh well. I love Publix but this one is consistently disappointing. read more

The best Publix I've ever been to. The employees and management are very nice and helpful and treat you like royalty. The Publix on Tampa Palms Blvd. is closer to where I live but the one on Cross Creek is worth the extra 2 mile drive. read more

The bakery section has very high quality desserts. I've seen the cakes from other Publix' and it looks pretty basic compared to what these guys can do. Not too long ago I had to grab a last minute cake so I came in to grab a generic white sheet cake. The ladies working that day offered to "jazz it up" and made these beautiful flower designs in icing along with the writing in about 10 minutes flat! Also, the pharmacy staff are very good about following up with my self/family about medication pick-up and flu shot availability. They are a pleasure to be around and have established a good relationship with my family. I've been shopping here since 2008 and have enjoyed every shopping experience thus far. All of the employees are helpful, especially the bakery and pharmacy staff. read more

I had an excellent experience visiting this Publix. The staff was extremely helpful and I felt they really did seek to make my shopping experience just a little more enjoyable. The selection is also broad enough to find almost anything you are looking for when it comes to groceries. In addition, this Publix is extremely clean and organized and makes me feel as though my food is coming from a place that cares about quality. If you are considering shopping here I also recommend you give one of their sandwiches or other hot food options a try, always made with gloves on and a little love. read more

Publix is an awful grocery store to have during an emergency. Empty shelves all over the store. Can't get anything we need or want.

Not sure how anyone likes this publix, rude employees, out of date products on the shelves, lack of in-stock merchandise, and one of the worse deli's I have ever seen. Seriously you close at 10pm being out of stuff regularly at 7pm is just unacceptable, and rolling your eyes when I justifiable complain is not the publix way. read more

This is the happiest place on earth well, as far as supermarkets go. Everyone is always happy and helpful or at least ,appears to be. All departments provide excellent service and always clean and organized. I also have to point out , Publix store brand products are very good quality and I sometimes choose them over the brand name equals even if they priced the same.This review pertains to every Publix I have been in, I give them props for being consistent. read more

Clean, freshest food around, and accomodating! Best pharmacy staff ever, the store is well stocked and if you want something special they will make sure you get it, from salads to soups to desserts. I used to shop another major Florida-based chain, and still do for very large trips, but Publix is definitely growing on me and fast becoming a market I visit serveral times a week for smaller or last minute trips. read more

We have two Publix stores off of cross creek and I shop at them quite often. I moved down from the mid Atlantic and Publix is the best market chain I have found in the area that has a large gluten free section. read more

Very friendly staff especially the pharmacy. Bob and Laura are always extremely helpful. The store is always very clean and well stocked.

They never have all of the items on my list. The staff seems irritated when asked to order something for you not carried on the shelves. When you do order something the item NEVER comes in, nor does anyone call you to let you know the status of your order. I gave it two stars because it is always clean. I will however be doing all of my shopping at the store on Bruce B Downs from now on. They carry a better selection and items specially ordered actually arrive. read more
