Very disappointed with employees -I went to pick up my birthday reward on August 31 and it became an embarrassment - employees said that the reward expired on August 29th. I guess I didn't read the fine print. However with good customer service I think I should have gotten the reward for the money I spend at Publix and not turned away and said you missed the deadline. Even the employee at the bakery didn't understand and said we're still in August. Obviously she didn't know there was an expiration date- lol. Anyway I didn't need the $7.99 cake - just the idea of getting something free for spending so much money at that store feels good read more

I wanted to get some lactose free milk and I stopped here to check out the prices....they want over $4 for a carton of milk, the butter was also a bit expensive....I decided not get it and I am happy I didn't, because down the road at the Hacienda grocery store, the Almond milk was only $2.50. Publix is a nice store to shop, the shopping experience and the customer service is usually very good, but as consumers, we ought to know our prices (and unit prices) to decide on the best deal for your wallet. I shop at this Publix constantly because it is near my house. Otherwise, I would never go there. The entire store is dirty and sloppy. The men's bathroom is always a mess with dirty floors and urinals. It has a sloppy sandwich line with food drippings all over the floor . There are managers who I have pointed those issues out to but they just stand around talking to each other. Publix in Coconut Creek is constantly short staffed. Never, ever enough baggers. You must wait in line forever many times to give them the payment for their overpriced food. I would not shop there if it was not very convenient. did I also say that the prices are always sky high. Best place by far to purchase over ripened and rotten avocados and tomatoes. At least half of the price you pay goes towards waste.

If you want a clean and friendly place to shop, choose Publix. I have never found one I didn't like. This particular Publix is very convenient because it's near the hair salon I frequent weekly. It usually has the same merchandise my local store sells but once in a while it doesn't. The prices are about 10% less on some items in Coconut Creek than our home store. They say that's pretty common. This store has a smaller Floral Department and Bakery. They offer less floral choices. The Bakery is still very good in CC and the staff is awesome. read more

I like this Publox. It's convenient and friendly. When I'm to lazy after work to cook, I just drive here and usually do the deli. Great fresh subs so of course there's always a line waiting. Who cares! Embrace your surroundings and the multicultural community. I've met some great people in these lines...it all starts with a hello! The check out clerks are on point as well. Friendly and attentive. Managers I can't speak on as I've never had to deal with them so I would say they are doing their jobs well. Worthy of four stars! read more

I love Publix but this location went downhill so much. I used to come here years ago and I remember it being clean and welcoming. Upon my entry, there was trash all around the can by the door which isn't what you want to see when going into the store you buy your food from. The shelves up front were looking empty and disorganized. I had a sub to be picked up at 3:50, as I hate waiting in the line. I came here solely for this sandwich since it was my lunch break. I arrive at the counter no later than 3:52 and see no subs, no problem they were busy! I then saw an employee coming over with a sub which I assumed was mine ... it was not. I asked the woman, whom I forgot the name of, and she then told me they were out of chicken tenders. I'm sorry, what? You wasted half of my lunch break waiting for a sub that wasn't even being made. You put your phone number in and you'd think they'd give you a call but nope! I asked why I even put the number and she just apologized and asked if I wanted something else. I WOULD HAVE PLACED MY ORDER AT THE NEXT PUBLIX! So then I get into my car and have to rush around to find something else to eat. I call the store and get directed from customer service to the "deli manager." I waited on hold for 5 minutes just to be told "he's on break." FANTASTIC! I ask to just speak with any manager and she tells me I have to call back customer service. So I call back customer service and ask to speak to the store manager who, guess what? Is ALSO not there! I ask to just speak with ANY manager and got a gentleman on the phone. He told me he's sorry after I explained everything and told me he'd say something to the people in the deli. He probably won't, but every aspect of this experience was awful. I will not return to this location ever again. Worst customer service in any grocery store. read more

This Publix is okay, but it is not one of my favorites. I only stop in here when I am all ready in the shopping center because it is convenient. The store is definitely clean. The employees are always nice. My biggest complaint regarding this Publix is the size of the store. It is small. Because it is small that reduces the inventory they keep on the shelves. I can not always find what I am looking for. It could be a certain flavor yogurt or a jar of spaghetti sauce. I'm sure if they had more space they would increase their inventory. Check out is not quick here. They usually do not have a lot of registers open. Because the store is small it creates a huge inconvenience when your waiting in a long line & other shoppers are trying to pass you with their carts. It's just not fun. :( The meat section does not seem to be as appealing as some other Publix meat sections. Sometimes the steak, lamb chops etc. just do not look fresh. I haven't purchased any meat from this Publix in over three years because of this reason. :( The deli is okay. Nothing special. They tend to be understaffed so I usually see how long the line is & walk away. :( Parking is not easy & on quite a few occasions I was not even able to find an open spot. Like I said earlier, if I am all ready in the shopping center I will run in & pick up what I need. I would not go out of my way to shop here. read more

If you want a sub made correctly please do NOT order online for pickup. Just picked my sub up and not only did I not get the extra cheese I paid for but then they left out two of the veggies on my veggie sub. This Publix is the nearest location to me. It is right off of Lyons road and the Sawgrass in the same plaza as the LA Fitness. Yesterday I stopped by to grab a couple of items to make breakfast and although I wasn't in the store long I left with a smile on my face thanks to the pleasant help from Monica at the Deli department. Her charismatic energy was contagious. This Publix has outstanding employees everybody is happy to be at work. It's a joy to see. And Monica - She's an asset to the company! read more

Consistently one of the worst Deli Depts. Been this way for years. Never properly staffed. Never pays attention to customers numbers, leaving it in their hands to figure out who's next. Customers can sit there and wait for 15 minutes before ever getting cold. Three times as many people are put in the sub section instead of serving people in line at the deli. read more

Super! Everyone is always friendly. You never hear someone say,"I don't know." Employees go above and beyond to make sure my questions are answered or are able to direct me to someone who can answer them. When a product is on back order they make sure to set one aside for you. This is rare as they are always fully stocked. Miss Pam is the best cashier there!! I always leave with a smile on my face. And the pharmacist is fantastic and helpful and quick! read more

It's really hard not to go to Publix since there are actually 4 within a 2 mile radius of me. Other than the prices being a little bit higher than other places, the quality of service is better and so is the check out process. At Wal-mart you are lucky to even get out alive. I love their fresh baked breads, pastries, rotisserie chicken, french fries & cakes. The subs are one of the best around and comes at an affordable price. The bread is freshly baked (and you get a selection of three different types - not including wraps), and the meats are freshly sliced. With all the selections of Boar's Head and Publix meats, you can create any concoction you want. On an off note, sometimes certain locations have some snooty sub sandwich makers, and it can be a bit unpleasant. read more

One of the larger Publix in the area with lots of selections. The staffs are extremely nice and friendly. One of my digital coupon did not work (which is very common since Publix adopted the digital era) and the cashier, Archit, was willing to recall my transaction to see if it works. I am glad he did that because the I got to save more with the extra minute he spent on my transaction. He was also a very proactive staff, standing right by his lane to make it known that his lane is available. It is hard to find staff like that these days because I often see staffs who reach for their phone as soon as their lane is empty. On a side note, make sure to enter your phone number for the digital coupon before the cashier completes the transaction! The manager of the store, Michael, was also very helpful. One of the items I purchased did not have the store discount and he was willing to step away from the service desk to assist in my purchase. My only complain for this store is the limited space on the outside of the store, right be the entrance. There is barely any space to reorganize your cart or if you are juggling bags and a toddler, you feel like you are in everyone's way. Overall, I would visit this Publix again! In fact, the manager's helpfulness made me wanted to go back and purchase more of the item I had already purchased. read more

This is a spacious store and they have a sit down area where you can eat your food at. Customer service is great as usual. My only critique would be the parking lot. I usually love Publix and I am even part of the Publix Community where I review products and give feedback to help Publix.. Today I was very very disappointed in this Publix location. I went in to get a chicken tender sub from the deli. I was told upon arrival that due to their special (6.99 whole chicken tender sub) that they were running out of chicken and had some cooking. The women behind the counter told me to come back in 10 minutes, so I went shopping around getting things I did not plan on getting while I waited. I walked by (with my kids) two employees stalking the freezer section. They then proceeded to talk about how South Florida residents are disgusting in personality and in hygiene. I was extremely offended by that remark. I've only lived down here for a few years, but for someone (especially an employee) to say that about the local people in front of my kids.. Well I don't think I will be going back to this Publix! When I finally returned to the deli to get a sub, I waited in line and one of the employees was complaining about having to leave and they should already be off. I understand the frustration of lunch rush but she left and had the other woman handle the line by herself. The woman that was by herself (Gloria or Maria can't exactly remember her name) was one of the rudest Publix employees I have ever come across and I've been to Publix locations across the state! She wouldn't even acknowledge my friend when we were ordering and was giving us attitude the entire time we ordered. If we were being difficult I would understand, but we knew exactly what we wanted before we even spoke to her. Overall, I will not be coming back to this Publix. This Publix location is more Villa grocery store but rather like a small family-owned business. the manager, Michael, along with his assistant Nathan and their team really make you feel like your family and friends when you shop there. I've been sick recently and the help they have given me goes beyond what a store could do or should do. I have two vaccines there last week and literally, it took 5 minutes for both of them. They give you a $10 Publix gift card for a flu vaccine. If you don't see it on the shelf, ask for it: if they don't have it, they try to order it. They've done that several times for us. If one of their staff does something particularly helpful, send their corporate an email and let them know! Publix corporate office really takes care of their employees and let's them know that someone said something good about their service. This Publix location isn't the largest, but it is the best! I go to this Publix daily and Bonnie the cashier is the rudest cashier I've ever encountered. She hates the job and it shows. However, you should keep your stress to yourself. I personally don't care if you work two jobs like you told me. That's not my problem. I'm sorry that you're irritated and ready to go home that's not my problem either. Keep your problems to yourself and give excellent customer service or quit. The manager isn't any better. While she was having a break down, he allowed her to say whatever she wanted instead of interjecting and being a manager. It's no ones fault that you work at Publix but yours. The decisions you've made your whole life has dictated your career path. You're here now, make the best of it. I will continue going to this Publix because it's so close to my house and i will make sure i find her daily and get in her line. I don't care how long her line is, I will wait in it. Love Publix! So much better than NY area supermarkets. Great selection of products. Lots of availability. Disappointed in the organic/natural selections as well as the produce, though. My wife and I shop here for groceries every week. The store is always clean and well-lit, and rarely out-of-stock of any item (though it does happen sometimes). The staff is always friendly and helpful as well. We've also bought many cakes from the bakery, and always been impressed by their quality. You can't eat them every day, but you definitely wish you could! :-) The prices may not be as low as some other places (haven't really checked, but assume they're a LITTLE higher), but you don't have to deal with a dark, dingy store where many items are out of stock every time you go, and that's definitely worth something. read more

Requested specific wines about 6 months ago to manager and he looked at us like he had no idea what to do. This location has been by far the worst I've been to. The last time I went the cashier completely messed up my payment and it took several employees to finally get it sorted out. The time before that they forgot items on the checkout area; which I didn't discover until it was too late. Also their layout is really strange - especially cold foods - it takes me 2-3 times longer to shop than at other publix I've been to... maybe it just takes some getting used to, but its frustrating to have to walk back and forth trying to track down items (especially when I'm using a list). read more

Customer Service has gotten better there for a time, fish and meat and produce dept are especially helpful and interested in service. The customer service desk will depend on who's manning it. Most of the girls there really couldn't care less, don't look you in the eye, nor do they respond in complete sentences-- 2 exceptions are the 2 youngest girls, who are a pleasure to talk to. Keep away from the Deli at this location. To say they s@ck, from the dept mgr on down, is a kind understatement. Hillsboro location is only slightly better. PUBLIX MIGHT CONSIDER CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING. Respecting the people handing over their hard earned money just might make People spend more money. I know i drive miles further to the Ramblewood location for major shopping. Maybe the store mgr there can give this location's mgr some tips on how to train employees to actually service their customers. Think about it. read more
