My son can be a five star general and I'll show up with a cookie cake because that's just the Mom I am. He loves them and I love getting them for his celebrations since he's not big into actual cake cake. Don't worry, he gets other nice gifts too but cookie cakes are just nostalgic for us. I've been using Publix a lot lately, and was in town for his OCS graduation at Fort Moore. I picked a Publix closest to my Airbnb which happened to be this location. On the date/time of our pick up after phoning an order in the previous week, no cookie cake order was ready in my name. I was disappointed but luckily the gentleman working at the bakery very quickly remedied the situation and made one up for me immediately. He then discounted it a few dollars which was kind of him. This won't be my sons home Publix but in a pinch it is nearby and I am very grateful for the exceptional same day service the bakery staff member provided to me. The cake was for the next afternoon and when we served it, it was delish as per the usual with Publix cookie cakes. read more

The new Publix store in Midland and all of their other stores have started selling their sides in smaller containers in order to make more money off of the customers. What happened to the larger 32 ounce containers for approximately $7.00. For example, to get the potato salad, it costs about $5.00 for the small container with 2 being over $10.00 now for the 32 ounces. I found a better deal at Winn Dixie so go there for a better deal and taste. And why does all of your fried chicken skin now taste tough and chewy with too many chicken feathers on it? read more

I wish I could rate zero stars! I ordered my nephew a cake for this 5th birthday. It was a Spiderman cake to say "Happy Birthday Eli" The pickup was Saturday, and we got caught up with the family festivities. So I called them to advise that I was coming Sunday to pick up my order. According to them, at the time, that was acceptable. Sunday, I get to Publix only to be told my order was thrown in the trash! No one called to let me know it was gonna be thrown away. So I had to settle for a cake out of the freezer and a non cake decorator to write on it. He literally wrote "Happy 5th Bday Eli." This is unacceptable! I don't throw around 5-star reviews for grocery stores often, but this Publix is deserving of every star Yelp has to offer. The aisles of this Publix are always pristine and the people working this location are friendly and eager to lend a helping hand. The check-out personnel are very friendly and don't scowl at you as you present them with your cart-full of groceries that will last you and your family only four days. But I digress... My wife and I love this Publix location. We anxiously look forward to our return visit as this Publix really is amazing. I haven't been to other Publix locations in the Columbus area, but don't hesitate to shop at this Publix! read more

Publix always had great prices and discounts. I like how you don't have to be a super special club member to receive any of the deals they have. They all apply no matter what. I also like how they have a policy where there is no tipping the baggers. It's always awkward when you have no cash on you, but Publix has alleviated this by not allowing tips. The store is always clean, but somewhat busy all the time. If you plan on getting something from the deli, you might have to wait a bit. No way around that though. This supermarket is where I do my weekly grocery shopping and I recommend you find a Publix near you. read more

I love publix. The food is fresh. The fruit is so bright and colorful. The staff is very welcoming. They have so many times sliced fresh watermelon or made up several boneless porkchop packs for me, because there was none on the display. They really make shopping a pleasure. The kids get a free cookie at the bakery, which keeps them from whining about candy and driving the patents a little nutty. They really have thought of everything to make your shopping trip awesome. read more

I grew up with Publix in our neighborhood and therefore it holds a special place in my heart. As years went by i have tended towards less expensive grocery runs and even courted the devil, Wal-Mart, for a while. Bottom line, you get what you pay for more than not in life. This is a brand new Publix, which is next to the old location. The store is very well lit, it has a nice layout, and it still looks new. They have more produce selections, even lime green cauliflower (which I think is gross b/c I don't like cauliflower, but see the pic for yourself). read more

This past week July 19-24, 2021 I had a need to go by this store EVERY day to purchase needed items for Church VBS. The personnel could not have been more helpful. All employees I encountered were helpful and pleasant and if they needed guidance on a request like on Friday when I needed dry ice broken into a smaller quantity, they called and immediately helped me. Because of the danger in handling dry ice with hand protection the personnel sure to warn me to not touch the dry ice without gloves. All also is he's me a nice day and the service was quick and easy.....I have used this store thru InstaCart during the pandemic and without them I would have had to experience exposure to the virus. Yeah Publix. This is a very busy location and if you cannot find an item in stock the location at Bradley Park usually has the item and are happy to assist. I even had a curbside delivery from Bradley Park because my closest location did not have something I needed. Amazing! read more

I don't use my 5-star rating capabilities flippantly. Where do I begin? Frozen waffles, hummus, cheap wine, dog treats, mayochup. These are just a few heavenly items you can purchase from this fine establishment. If I could eat a Publix sub for every meal, I surely would. Normally I get lost in grocery stores, but Publix makes it easy to navigate. They have signs for every aisle telling the customers what is in each aisle!!! Three thumbs up. read more

Do you want a sandwich from the deli? Good luck. I went and stood in a line of 2 for close to 45 minutes while the slowest sandwich maker alive prepared five sandwiches. I left before he could start the last one, as I want to spend Christmas with my family this year and not waiting for the only real life sloth to ever be hired by an actual company. What's worse is that I watched three other visibly able employees that could've come help the sloth, but instead distracted him and prolonged this already drawn out process. Probably won't come back to publix even if they paid me, because I know they employ a full grown man that can't make five sandwiches in an hour. read more

A few weeks ago, I ordered a cake for my mother's 80th birthday celebration. I got the cake to the party location only to find a huge issue with the cake. I called them immediately and they were very apologetic about the error. They brought a replacement cake to the location of the party! Now THAT is an example of a business showing that they value their customers! read more

Employees in the bakery area must be racist. I walked up to look in the case & no one spoke. A black man walked up & the employees not only spoke but hurried over to assist him. I walked out of the store because why would I want to spend any $ in a place that does recognize all people instead of just those that have the same skin tone.
