Very nice laid back store with plenty of friendly employees. Dropped in here for a few items and found the area of shopping only a little different than my usual store. The store as with all Publix stores are very clean and the employees are always front facing the products so you can always see if the item you are looking for is in stock versus sticking your hand deep in the shelf looking for the product. If Publix runs out of a sale product they are happy to write you a rain check for the item you wanted. I really enjoy shopping at Publix but you do need to watch your prices because some items can be found cheaper at other locations. I have tried the Publix brand canned and frozen veggies and they are very good. No real difference in their brand and name brand products. read more

I am concerned that this Publix does not have enough employees. I feel the few on duty when I shop are hurried and exhausted. I spent 25 years in the Labor field and can sense when there is a problem. some friends and I wanted a quick way to grab a sub and get to the beach. We placed an online order for 12:30. We got here at 12:25 and waited for it til 12:35. Before I said something. I asked a lady about it very politely. The assistant manger Brittany Brant told us "give us a minute" as she does every other order. Then after 5 minutes my order comes through and wait for one more. At 12:20 she told us there wasn't another we tried to show her our confirmation and she wouldn't help us or pay any attention. The customer service was horrible. I'm incredibly disappointed and don't expect to come back to the deli. She was the assistant manger and was so rude! Didnt get to leave til 1:00! read more

Although I have given this store a very low rating it was heavily based on the pharmacy manager filling my script incorrectly. This is now in the hands of the Florida supervising commission which has told me that after investigation complaints go to the Florida Pharmacy Board. The regional manager claimed to be investigating but never got back to me. My request to check the supply of the product I was given to much of may have been done. I was told they would let me keep the extra product. This happened to me once before when I was given the wrong strength -- a situation which would have been life threatening. The label was correct. (not at this store). I have continued to shop there. Their bakery has so-so products. They are baked there but the taste says that the dough was made far away. The fruits are excellent as well as the selection of juices. The fish is fresher than other stores in the area. The prices of meats are higher -- why my Easter ham was bought elsewhere. What I like is that if I ask where something is I am directed to it. My groceries are carried o to my car. There are clean rest rooms in the front of the store as well as water fountains and a place for me to sit down and use the WiFi giving them good points. read more

Holy cow, what a wait! Placed a only order and showed up on time, as one should. Waited 20 minutes and asked for an update incase someone grabbed my subs by mistake. Was told they have not yet been made. Watched the employees make 30 subs for people in line before they started my online order. Terrible customer service.... plenty of people behind the counter doing nothing but standing around. By far worst publix experience I've ever had. Don't know if Win-Dixie has a deli, but even if they don't, I would prolly get my order sooner. Finished this review and still don't have my subs read more

Kyle made me the best sub ever, which is unusual since he's a pharmacist, that boy really knows his deli meats!

Kyle Lamm is the best pharmacist (well maybe next to his wife who works at the Publix Yulee). He got my two prescriptions and checked me out in less than a minute! He knows my name. That's the best part. The other Publix is closer to my house, but I stay with this pharmacy because of the service. Barbie is great too! Arrived at Amelia Island for a four day vacation with family. Went to Publix to stock up. Purchased Leander Blueberry bagels from the refrigerated section. The next day, son-in-law noticed mold on the two bagels remaining in the bag. We then looked at the date code which was 10/1, so the stock was over a week old. Publix refunded our money but they need to do a better job of getting past date products off the shelf. Hate that this happened because I shop at Publix all the time at home. read more

This is one of the friendliest stores you can find! The people are knowledgeable and always willing to assist. The food beats the pitiful Harris Teeter foods. Always the best choice! A very pleasant shopping experience! After 25 yrs of marriage & raising 3 children I hated the task of going to the supermarket. It was depressing, boring and routine. Publix has eliminated the loud speakers, lowered the lighting to a more comfortable level and since has made grocery shopping a pleasure! Maybe the three now grown children helps also. I enjoy the friendly staff behind the deli & bakery counters who are always helpful & courtious. We met the seafood counter staff on this visit, who gave me a wonderful tip on making shrimp & grits ... It's become a social outing one can calmly enjoy. This Publix offers a large wine selection, fresh meats, cheeses & fruits that rival many fresh roadside fruit stands. There are always clean carts available, and coffee will be made fresh upon request complimentary. the parking lot is always clean and plentiful & easily to manuver. This location offers several entrances & exits. The customer service counter seems to always be available with someone close by to assist with service needs. I had forgotten to use several coupons, was told to take them along with my receipt over to customer service which provided a very quick cash refund. Everyone in a Publix smock made it a point to speak if eye contact was made, and had a friendly smile. A great way to fill ones pantry!! Enjoy!! read more

Phenomenal wine selection with great weekly deals and lots of various regions to choose from, along with all mixers and cocktail needs The Deli has many salads, meats & cheeses, and hot foods ready available and upon request they may be able to prepare speciality items; Deli also has sandwich station that offers a wide variety of brands & options The Bakery always has fresh breads, sweets, and various goodies on display - the specialty cannoli's are dangerously habit forming The store is always well maintained, very clean & the staff is awesome! For a regular supermarket, this place is great! Fantastic produce, local fish and shrimp--along with a whole host of other selections from around the world. Great wine selection, and yet more affordable than others on the island. Good choices from France, Italy, New Zealand, and a handful of South African, along with a million domestic wines. The gluten free products are multiplying by the month, and so are a wide range of health food products, inter alia. All in all: a great spot for everyday shopping and for the holidays! read more

Worst experience I've had in a Publix. 3 people in line at the deli, when the one in front left, I was next. The guy behind the counter looked straight at me, called a number (the Publix I normally go to doesn't require numbers, so I didn't have one) the guy behind me had a number and the person behind the counter waited on him and overlooked me. I left without deli meat for lunch. Next I went to the seafood department, they had some really nice looking whole fish. I asked for them to filet the fish and the guy working there told me that it would take a "really, really long time" for him to scale the fish and filet it. He repeated this a couple of times, obviously either not wanting to bother with it or not sure how to do it. I left without the fish. Will go somewhere else. read more

Great place to get your groceries. Everything is bright and clean with wide enough isles so that only large people who shop next to their carts can block an isle. Another thing I like is that you are not required to carry around some obnoxious loyalty card to get their bargains. Their plentiful BOGO deals usually ring up for half price so that you don't even have to buy two items to get the BOGO bargain price. Everyone who works there seems to be in a good mood, even if their shift is almost over. Their subs are the best, much better than the local sub shops. We love the bakery's White Mountain Bread. I wouldn't even consider shopping anywhere else. Be a sport and bring in a cart from the parking lot and shop "Where Shopping is a Pleasure". Cheers. read more

They use quite a few special needs adults. Our shopping experience was delayed quite a bit by two men attempting to check us out....very slow and laborious. The produce and fish counters were well stocked. The shrimp was caught locally and very good. read more

Usually Publix staff very friendly and helpful but not at this one. First of all I went to the bakery section to ask a question. There were 3 employees there that never bothered to look up and see what I wanted. Finally one person looked up but was very unfriendly and not helpful. Next I was checking out and asked an employee where the ice was, and she told me it was by the deli. So I went all the way back to the deli to find the ice was in the front of the store. In checking out, the checker did not greet or address me nor did I receive a smile. I have never encountered in a Publx such unfriendly staff. It is like they have an attitude. They need to go to remedial training on how to address the public read more

It's very disheartening when you call to follow up on a special order and you get switched from one department to another placed on hold, hung up on, polity call back only to be told " you're not talking loud enough I can't even hear you" at this point I've told my story to 3 different people, all whom I seem to get nowhere with, placed on hold and hung up on again. I'm sorry Publix associates I'm just a lowly customer who probably spends well over $2000.00 a month in Publix. I'm sorry if my little dollars aren't enough to make sure you stay employed, and contribute to helping you pay you car note, college tuition, so on and so forth. Sometimes you may be "inconvenienced" by a customer or two. It's probably very important for anyone in customer service realizes that customers honestly don't mean to be a bother, we just need help sometimes. The best place to purchase groceries on Amelia Island. Great selection of produce, meats, and wine to name just a few. All the employees are friendly and eager to make your visit a pleasure. They have a lot of specials and email coupons to regular customers. My wife says that her car goes there automatically when she pulls out of the driveway. read more

Watch out for the deli manager. I question why they had no wheat bread and got his anger directed towards me. A store manager found an entire rack of wheat bread that had not been delivered to the deli yet. She instructed the assistant manager to take care of me and he had one of his workers make me a sub with the fresh bread but I heard him tell the worker to "wrap it tight". I had a cigar shaped sub that they smashed the bread so tight it was in edible. Who cares if it was no charge shame on you you're an evil evil man! You should be reprimanded! read more
