Check your expiration dates. Too many times I've purchased something, got home, and noticed its past the selling/expiration date. The lady behind the deli, I wish I knew her name, is very rude. The prices on everything is very expensive, and rarely fresh. I would not recommend doing groceries here. Its ok to pick up one or two things if you forgot them at the Walmart. The ONLY good thing about this grocery store is the butcher, the meat is great quality. read more

Tony is a good American guy. This store has some specials that are good deals. Most stuff is priced as low as an independent retailer can. The best thing is they'll still help you with your groceries if you want, and they're located right down the road for people in Joelton and this end of Whites Creek. I've shopped at Tony's for the past 6-7 years and I can't shop anywhere else for fresh meat and bacon. The quality is amazing. The only way anyone could get meat any fresher would be to go to a farmer and butcher it themselves, really great selection and quality. I really like the fact their hamburger is ground in house and they don't use an inert gas to make their meat look redder. With Tony's you know what you get and can be sure you're getting the best. If I already didn't mention it, their bacon is awesome I don't know where they get it but it's 1000% better than any bacon I've tried so far. The pricing is in some regards high but I will gladly pay it for the freshness of their meats and produce. 5 stars isn't enough Tony's is great. read more

Local grocery store close to our area. This place is a hidden gem. I hope it never changes. First thing to know is that this is not part of any chain really. The workers are local. The owners are local. Very friendly and genuine people every time. The food here is mostly local. The deli is filled with homemade food. Their fried chicken is made to order and very meaty. Mother of God.. their desserts will kill you! Their meats are very good and reasonably priced. They have a very good selection of beers actually. There are not many places left like this anymore. They are being bought out and turned into massive chains with poor customer service. Prices are probably 10% more than Walmart. Totally worth it in my opinion! read more

Best thing about this place: a wall of surveillance video printouts of thieves! Great hometown style store. They have a little bit of everything and the prices aren't jacked like other small town stores. Lots of local products including farm fresh veggies, eggs, and locally brewed wines. I bought some homemade Italian sausage for spaghetti sauce and it was amazing! All said, it's not JUST local stuff, the store has a bit of everything else. I'll definitely be returning. Small detail I love and will try to snap a pic of next time: there's a little water tower next to the store with the old Dr. Pepper logo with the 10, 2, and 4 deal. I was headed home when I realized I needed some items for dinner. Well the nearest store I could think of was 20 mins. away. Luckily Food Land was on my way home. I have to admit when I pulled up to the store I was a bit biased. The store was small and dimly lit, yet surprisingly has everything you need in a neighborhood grocery store. The prices aren't cheap but you pay for convenience. I was in and out in under 10 mins. The staff is ok not friendly nor rude either. The produce & meat look decent & were on sale. I would continue to make groceries in the city but will revisit again to pick a few needed items. read more

While are some things about Tony's Food Land that I've reviewed in the past. What I'd like to past is that there are no mask and distancing guidelines that are being enforced. Most customers had no masks. There was no attempt at social distancing. Cashiers and deli staff wear their masks below their noses. I shopped there for 20 years. I won't be going back. read more

We shop at Costco for our big items, but visit this store at least once a week to pick up what I can't get at Costco; and I always always stop in for the giant meat sell. It's epic. The young gents working here always ask if they can help take your groceries to the car. Ladies at the check-out lane are a little less friendly, but by no means are the rude. I love that the store has a culture. Hard to explain, but visit it enough and you'll find it to be quite charming. read more

I love Tony's Foodland on Clarksville Hwy near Old Hickory Blvd in the Joelton area. My favorite thing about them is their wonderful deli. They make a delicious Pea Salad with mozzarella cheese, red onion, and dressing that is delicious! When I visit, I always pick up 3 or 4 containers of pea salad _plus_ I get a couple packs of their very tasty tuna salad. The hot, ready-to-eat baby back ribs are so tasty. Their deli items are delicious and very nicely priced. Tony's has great deals on fresh meats, including choice beef that always cooks up deliciously...love! I get great deals on canned items, too. Go there and see what I mean; you won't be disappointed! read more

I know I have already written one review for Tony's but I have to add more. This is a small grocery store, and their selection is therefore limited. If you are a food snob, this is not the place for you--but they are the nicest people you will ever encounter in a grocery store. They have an excellent meat department and will help you with anything. Today I looked for a sale meat item--and couldn't find it--I asked a young man and he said he would go prepare it right then for me. He said "this is my job and my responsibility to help you" and I was so impressed--who ever says something like that? I love this store and go there at least once a week. read more

They are completely over priced and you never know if the food from the deli will be fresh. Moat of the time its not. I hate shopping here so,bad I drive 20 or 30 mins away to go grocery shopping. And the produce is a joke. Don't understand how people put with this place. read more
