'This is the second experience of experiencing prejudice in this store." My experience tonight was another prejudice experience. I came in and approached the register to cash out. There was a young lady cashier there and also a manager named Tim. In front of me was a couple that Tim was talking to and having a good conversation. I was thinking great but when I approached. It was silence from the cashier and also Tim. Not a hello or how you doing. I definitely felt discriminated against. This year it seemed like there are more prejudice workers at this Publix. I did speak to Tim over the phone. I didnt want to cause A scene. I can tell he didn't really care. As I told him if you're in this business and you have some type of prejudice, then you don't need to be there. You can speak to your culture but didn't speak to me. I feel offended. It's because of the back of african americans that you are able to have lights, air conditioning, elevator, baby carriage, folding beds, the mailbox,Refrigerator, GPS, Wash and Dryer and more. We're the originators of country music, rock and roll, r n b music and more that yall love so much and always trying to steal and copy from the beginning of time. Be an originator of something of your own that you can be proud of for once instead of hating us because God made us to be the ELITE! Take it up with God. LEARN YOUR BLACK HISTORY! Instead of turning your nose up like your better than, you need to put respect on our name and thanking us. I couldn't imagine having a bad experience at Publix. It's like the CFA of grocery stores. Awesome customer service from friendly employees, they always have everything I need in stock, and I can also easily grab balloons from here (since I don't live close to a party store). I absolutely love their BOGO deals and make sure to check out their weekly flyer to see what deals are available. I've used their pharmacy many times and even had certain vaccines administered there which were convenient. This particular location does not have self check out just yet but they always have plenty of check out lines available and everyone is always so friendly and so pleasant. Tons of parking outside. Perfect location on Land O Lakes BLVD. Separate liquor store next door. Lovely selection of fresh flowers. read more

Who doesn't love Publix where shopping really is a pleasure? Ok sorry. But honestly it's very enjoyable. The bakery is by far the best grocery store bakery. The store is always clean and the staff friendly. This store is on the small side but has a pharmacy. It doesn't always have what I want in the fresh veggie or meat department but overall still love this location. This is very convenient to my house and my daughter always wants to stop to get her free cookie! Which is a great ploy Publix because that free cookie always ends up costing me at least $20 in shopping! read more

As much as I love Publix, this store always seems to disappoint. Often times they are out of stock on many of the items I purchase regularly. This location is one of the busiest in the county and there are always long lines at the check out. Definitely try another store if you are trying to get in and out quickly. read more

Dillon in the deli department is one of the nicest people i've ever encountered. I'm from new york but was staying here for a month doing the pool and beaches so we got a lot of sandwiches and every time we went in he had a huge smile and was so sweet! he didn't mind the long list of sandwiches or dressings and toppings on the side. Want to pay four times as much as any other store and be fleeced, well then head to Publix. Thank goodness, ALDI, SPROUTS, WAL MART, TARGET, COSTCO and SAM'S club are all carrying organic products for much lower cost than Publix. TRADER JOE's is also a good place to shop. read more

So I usually get subpubs almost every other week as dinner for the whole family. Lately the subs are being rushed to order and most of the ingredients are on the wrapper vs in between the bread when you open them at home. I shared that feedback during my last visit to the person making my sandwiches... he apologized but still ended making my sandwiches all sloppy. Worst part, he was all sweating and made jokes as small talk which took him longer to make my subs. I have been going to this location for 10 yrs and the deli staff doesn't have the same passion as before. The deli really irked me. they would joke about all kinds of disgusting sexist homophobic slurs and insults, while blaming customers left and right. There were many incidences where I felt unsafe, and the environment was just sour and disgusting. The customer service was nice up front, but the deli just didn't have excellent and appropriate approaches to what a customer wanted. I don't plan on going here again, and honestly, it shows. If you want "fresh" pies for special occasions, DO NOT get them at Publix! They don't even make pies at the stores! They are shipped FROZEN from a central location and may sit in the freezer for many days before being sold. Yuck! Went into my local Publix next to Connerton where I live last Wednesday for a sushi tuna bowl, after not seeing one in the display shelf, I ask if they had any. One of the gentlemen behind the counter offered to make one at regular price of $10.99 instead of the $5.00 Wednesday special. After questioning him on the price, he reduced it to the correct price of $5.00. Went in today Wednesday and asked one of the same gentlemen if they had a tuna sushi he said no, I would have to go to another Publix to get one. Why would Publix have a special and NOT honor it ? Why should I have to go to another Publix for any item when they are made there ? Are the Sushi makers refusing to make the tuna bowls for this location ? My experience with Publix market goes back to my move to Florida in 2003. I settled in New Port Richey. There were two stores there that I used, Chelsea Place and Sunray, and SR 19. I also went to one in Palm Harbor near my girlfriends home. I found the stores immaculate, well stocked, and every single employee friendly and helpful. When visiting Ocala, I found that store the same. Joking with the deli crew I once said you guys are too happy. The youngest said, well ya, I even got a 401 account. So many people complain the prices are too high. I don't particularly care. Well paid folks in most jobs tend to be happy dedicated associates. The term associate itself reflects that management values it's employees and in turn their treatment of customers affects their paycheck too. There is another chain I shop sometimes for relatively good sales on their meat, but their produce tends to be sub to Publix's, and their stores just aren't as gleemingly clean and stocked. So to the folks complaining of the slightly higher prices, go to the store that I'm not naming. You know who it is. read more

The service is OK, the Phamacy is OK and the beer selection is always good. However, the deli is awful, especially if you order chicken wings or a sandwich. The wings always have feathers left in and cooked. The sandwiches are skimped down to razor thin meat and tons of lettuce. The meat is overpriced and with a sad selection and the produce is overpriced and usually not all that fresh. The prices are getting so bad at Publix I thought I was back in Hawaii. At least in Hawaii you can get good produce. read more

This Publix is a small grocery store for Publix. The employees are all friendly and very helpful. The only problem is that they don't have the variety or depth of inventory that the larger Publix Super Markets have. As a result I often forced to go to the larger store on Collier Parkway. In addition they have a very limited selection of chilled wines. read more

My wife and I went into the Land O Lakes Blvd store on Monday and placed an order for a medium sized sandwich tray. It was to be made up of half Ham & Cheese and half Roast Beef. We asked for the lettuces and tomatoes to be on the side and we would pick it up by 6pm Christmas Eve. Running a litter behind we had our daughter go and pick it up for us. She had no idea what we had ordered so she just took it and came home with. Well what we ordered and what we got were two entirely different things. We ended up with Ham & Cheese (ok) but no Roast Beef. Instead we got Turkey and guess what the lettuces and tomatoes were on the sandwich's Not on the side as we had asked. Of course they were closing @ 7 pm and our guests were arriving @ 7pm. So no time to go back and have them fix the issue. This is the second time they have screwed orders up on us but I can say THAT IT WILL BE THE LAST!!!! read more

I love Publix but this particular store seems to always be out if their bogos so you need to get a rain heck especially their chicken. The publix on Collier and 54 is so much better. It's like publix in Land o Lakes is lost and the trucks pass them by with their deliveries. The other problem is that their fruit is always yucky grapes mushy and avacados are low grade. I Shop two grocery stores because of food quality and helpfulness. The first is Fresh Market. I love this store because it offers food items you can not find in other stores. It can be expensive but not if you think of your ability to make better than restaurant quality foods at home. Publix is my other favorite on LOL Blvd. yes it is smaller than the larger Publix which doesn't mean much except more service and less crowded aisles. I love that the store managers are friendly and make it a point to let you know that they remember you. My cart was full and a manager saw that I ordered a cake when she was re-stocking shelves. She carried the cake to me so I didn't have to make a trip back to the bakery. The people that work there get to know you by name and make shopping more pleasurable. I would rather have this experience rather than the cattle call Walmart experience where no one is around to help you and everyone is crowded going down aisles.
