I am a fan of their whole wheat bagel. Seems like most of the bagel places don't have this option anymore. Its outside crust was crunchy and inside got dense and chewy bread. I used the app to order 4 bagels for myself & guests (all New Yorkers) and half of our order was incorrect... It was just embarassing and a waste of my money. I will not be returning here ever again. Cheese was added when we said "no cheese", and a bagel was not toasted when we said "toasted". These bagels cost way more than an actual bagel in BK, too much for you to mess up 50% of any order. The whitefish salad is way too good, absolutely love it. The texture and taste are both spot on! No reason to travel elsewhere to big-box stores to find whitefish salad. When I think of the perfect breakfast food I think of bagels, specifically New York bagels. They have been my favorite since I was a kid and finding a spot that makes great bagels and great coffee so close by makes my heart happy. My go-to bagel is an everything bagel or Asiago bagel BEC (bacon, egg and cheese) with a Cubsta iced coffee. I love that you can get iced coffee with coffee ice cubes so your coffee doesn't get watered down (will be using that idea at home now too lol). Kudo to the setup. The coffee/drink station is well-designed and has plenty of options. The bagel selections are decent and are made with special "brooklylized" water. Perhaps is good for you, but taste wise, not as good as other good quality bagel shops. The black russian pumpernickel is just dark and blended. The cream cheese is $2, but at least is very generous. The good things were the ambiance, the wall of coffee dispensers were so cool and the fact that they sell different cream cheese flavors was also cool. Although, I wouldn't know how the cream cheese tastes like considering I had ordered my bagel sandwich with cream cheese (which costs extra) and I didn't get it on my sandwich. In regards to the egg, meat and cheese bagel sandwiches, the everything bagel I found to be very salty and the sausage tasted subpar. The egg was probably the best tasting thing and my partner agreed, he also mentioned that his bacon was undercooked and the quality was poor. We have tried a few times to give this store a chance and every time we are so disappointed. The eggs for the breakfast sandwich bagels are just awful and have a strange smell. Very expensive and no customer service. I put in an order on cell. I came in and stood there for about 20min. Someone else asked for their order and the guy that made the sandwiches looked up at a bag that was kinda hidden in the to-go case. It was my order standing there. Bk sandwiches were cold. I was not amused at all. Everyone doing their own thing and not communicating among themselves. Whoever put the sandwiches together should have told the guy behind the counter the order was there ready. Someone should be manning the to-go case and the case should have a light for people to see there are orders there. read more

No more knishes no more business! The knishes were the best thing on the menu and since you stopped, offering them will not be frequenting your business any longer. I used to drive 30 minutes out of the way to visit your establishment but now there's no reason to. Unfortunately the service has not been the same. That last two times coming in the staff is rude and acts annoyed that I as the customer don't order the way they want me to. Literally the girl was giving me attitude and then proceeded to say I need to provide what bagel I want first and not what toppings I want because the system doesn't allow it like I order. It's not my fault that when I say I'd like a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel that you want me to reverse that. But her annoyance with me was seen when I then ordered my 3rd bagel and she responded with what bagel as I started to say the item and I said sorry not there yet she then said again bagel bagel I said the bagel and then politely asked did you get the avocado? Silly me didn't pay attention and let me tell you, the savory garlic, sesame, poppy seed taste of the everything cream on a sweet bagel was a shock to my taste buds (Not in a good way). Been here before and wrote good things. This last visit was somewhat disappointing. I felt like the "kid"taking orders etc. has to be the owners son. Not a very helpful staff member. Sanitation was also an issue. Placing "handled" tubs/containers of cream cheese sitting out in a refrigerated bin for all to touch, cough on or otherwise dug through on top of freshly made ready to eat bagels screams. This egg was probably poured from a carton and tasted watered down with NO seasoning. Otherwise the sesame bagel, bacon and cheese were pretty good! And the coffee was good too. I really love Nova Bagels, and I must say, the bagel itself is EXCELLENT! Their bagels are perfection, down to a science. Having said that, they used so much cream cheese and hardly any nova that I had to scrape off the excess cream cheese so that I could taste the nova.
