Being a Florida native, I've grown up with Publix around me. However, as I've gotten older, I favor them over their competitors. This store, like most of their locations are generally in a well traveled area and have easy access and parking. The store, like most of them, even the older ones are very clean. They are well stocked and consistently have some type of special running like a BOGO. This location also has a bakery, a deli, and pharmacy making them an easy grocery one stop shop. Employees are generally very nice and well groomed. Some of them could use a bit more customer service training...but I think that is a bit of a generational thing. They are better than most other grocery stores though. My favorite part is the deli counter where you can get a famous PubSub made. If you've never had a PubSub sandwich you are missing out. Lots of options and customization for your sub and for the taste versus cost versus how much you get, totally worth it. By the way, if you use coupons and their adverts, rainchecks are still a thing so leverage when you need to. I'm sure other regions have their favored grocery stores, but if you're in Florida and need to grocery shop, you can't go wrong with Publix. read more

I mean, it's Publix...need I say more!? :). Masks no longer required, FYI. Came in for some subs and cupcakes for a party we were headed to later that evening. Subs were for lunch since we were all STARVING after leaving Adventure Island. There was a line for the subs but it moved very quickly -- the ladies working the sub station were super friendly and made our subs with some extra love because they were DELICIOUS! I visited the bakery for some cupcakes and the staff member working the area was super helpful. I should have asked for his name to give him a call out since I was very needed and he accommodated my every need. I needed 5 cupcakes but I didn't want all the available flavors in the display. He went to the freezer and got the ones he had out to let me choose some other flavors. He packaged the cupcakes individually and placed them in a cake box for me so that I could easily carry them around the store and to checkout. Be sure you download the Publix app if you haven't already, I love this thing because I no longer have to get my wallet out. I have my card linked to the app -- so my coupons, my payment, my shopping list are all in 1 convenient place. Just scan the monitor when time to pay and I'm done. Also, you can opt to save paper and have paperless receipts. YUP, you read that right.....you can have your receipts emailed to you rather than printed @ the store. Way to go Publix for making the shopping experience so much easier. Now if they can just get drive up pickup like other retail stores, I'd be super duper happy! read more

I bought a ultimate subs... amazing.. price and taste... I recommend this sub... half is enough for one person...

Wanted to express how above and beyond the customer service is at this Publix and a thanks to the manager, Bill Kurry, (sorry if it's not spelled right) for genuinely caring for your customers. I came in the store near closing one even and was getting a bunch of balloons for my daughters bday party the next morning. Bill noticed the balloons and was kind enough to ask if we were using them that night because they only stay inflated roughly 8 hours, which I had no idea. Without me asking he told me to come back in the morning to pickup the same balloons again on the house because he wanted the balloons to look good for my daughters birthday. It was a super kind offer and sure enough I came in the morning and the balloons were ready for me and looked great at the bday party. Thanks Bill Kurry for caring and Publix needs to give you a promotion or something as it's rare to find people who care about people and the little things in life that go a long way. Ray read more

First I would like to say that I am a huge Publix fan. However, the deli at this location is the worse I have been. This is not typical of Publix. I have placed online orders several times at this Lutz location and 3 out of the last 4 times, they did not have my order ready. Twice they did not even have my order started well over the time it was supposed to be ready. Meanwhile, they put all of their resources working to make sandwiches for people in line. They apologized each time but this last time was enough for me to realize that they are not sorry enough to resolve the management in the deli. I will say, as with every Publix the staff is friendly and I am still a Publix fan. I just can't count on this location for online ordering. read more

This is a smaller sized Publix and a bit off the beaten track. It was super clean. The deli was great as usual & they had everything in stock I was looking for. The staff is always on point & very friendly. I always have my groceries seperates into perishable and non perishables. Obviously their were a few mistakes in that area. After a long day & then some major grocery shopping it is easier to just take in the perishables and leave the rest till latter. About 4 perishable items wound up staying in the trunk & spoiling, like groceries aren't expensive enough, you have to pay for them twice! The other thing that bugged me, is you spend $100.00+, on groceries & no one offers to take them to your car! Every Publix offers that service. Because of these 2 items, especially the spoiled food, I think this Publix has just gotten lazy. Not a fan of the outcome of the store. What's a girl to do? Do not get a sub from this store. The deli was filthy when I was there to order a sub today. The lettuce was browning, there was a bag of something sitting in the middle of the lettuce, and the meat tasted horrible. I normally love Publix subs but this will be my last trip to this Publix. I prefer this Publix over the Sunlake Publix any day. This Publix is a lot older, but that doesn't make it bad at all. It may not be the newest store, but they do keep it tight and clean to make it look like its newer! This particular location is never really busy and which is why I prefer it over some others. The gentleman Bo who works there gave me one of the greatest experiences I've ever had at Publix. He truly leads with customer service. Friendly and approachable and comedic! This store is always clean and the staff always friendly. I enjoy stopping at the Apron kiosk to try a new dish. Robyn was very professional, and in fact, the ingredients were almost sold out because the food was just so good. But that's not what impressed me. This Publix is generally pretty good but has the WORST deli of any Publix in America. Why even bother offering an online ordering system if it is going to be ignored? Three times in the past month I have placed an online order in the evening and have arrived 30 minutes to an hour after the order was placed - only to find that the ticket was laying on the counter and the order was not filled. At night the staff in this deli are FAR more concerned about cleaning up than serving customers. Period. For the egregious prices you charge for lunch meat and cheese, there should be better service. I am done with the Publix deli at Lutz Crossing. Complaints to the manager go unheard and nothing changes. So frustrated. read more

This store is always clean! I love Publix and I used to go to the Van Dyke and Dale Mabry Location until I had to run into this one on an emergency diaper crisis(1st time mommy then) over 6 yrs ago. And the staff was so friendly and helped me right away. It made me go back. And then I met Miss Jodi and Sonnie. Bam! Sold, I only go there and I don't stray ;) Miss Jodi and Sonnie have seen my once babies grow and I hope they will always be there to continue seeing my girls grow up.
