Very Unfavorable Experience My experience with this Publix has been extremely disappointing. The manager at the Publix located at 152nd Street and 137th Avenue allegedly threatened a young man who sells avocados legally, with a valid city license and permit, simply because he was competing with the store. This is completely unacceptable. How much business could one hardworking family man possibly take away from a huge multimillion-dollar corporation? This man is simply trying to make an honest living and put food on his family's table. This is my go to Publix, and although I like almost everything about it, I must say the Deli has been really slacking. The Deli took those three stars off. I understand the Deli is where some of the toughest positions are but please carry that hiring process properly and then train them. A couple of ladies are very helpful and i always see them running but the rest seem to be blind and mute. I have seen this issue, but way worse, at some others Publix Delis in the area. What's happening? On another note, Miguel gives great customer service. I'm unsure of his position but I believe is managerial. read more

Ordered subs online from the deli for Mother's Day because we wanted a relaxing low key lunch. In the special requests section, asked for half of the sub to be plain without anything on it and they didn't pay attention to it and they also forgot the oil and vinegar packets. This is the closest one to me and fortunately, also the best one. I just moved to Miami and had to change insurance and pharmacy plans. Had several not so satisfactory experiences with several chain pharmacies in the area, I landed here by accident. First I ran into Aimee, she got my first problem solved and I got my prescriptions finally after a month of running around (physically and/or by phone) between the provider, Medicare plans and local pharmacy chains. Well, several subsequent needs and visits have always been handled very well also with other staff members. I commend to the Pharmacist/Manager, Mr. Michael King, of their good services but I thought my experience may help others in the neighborhood. It is a well managed Pharmacy with well mannered staff. I loved this Publix when it first opened, but now they are starting to slack and get lazy. Been coming here for 5 years, and you can tell their employment choices are f**king things up. ESPECIALLY in the deli. There never anybody at the seafood department...ever, always have to ask the sushi chef to go get someone. I been seeing the deterioration of this store over the years. I have complained to the store and the Corporate office for many years and no one cares. This Publix, I have been shopping there since it open when it use to be good. I've seen the changes of understaffing, morale, attitude, lack of inventory, freshness and specialty the lack of sandwich ingredients and Bakery products on certain time of the evening. The latest was very disturbing. We bought Publix Hot & Spicy wings and it came with feathers. No one care to check the wings before or after frying and the quality was also no good. I wonder what other careless or short cuts they take. I went back and complained. All they did was said sorry and return my money back after talking to the managers. Then move on to another customer. So beware with this store. I would not trust it. read more

Our family has been shopping at this Publix since the day it opened, and we have never had an unpleasant shopping experience at this location. Publix has retail figured out, and any brick and mortar storefront should walk a Publix store and see how the product is displayed, signed, and how customer focused all of the staff are, all the time. Every Associate greets us, and if I have a question about where to find something the Associate doesn't look and then gesture, saying "Over there" like in most stores with lazy staff. They drop what they are doing, and escort me to the product. No better way to make your customer feel important than to go above and beyond, all the time. My only suggestion is that Publix stop soliciting donations at the checkout for charities. Some of us donate regularly privately, and it gets annoying. Giving should be private. read more

This is my go to Publix. As others have stated the staff is much nicer than the Publix up the street and the parking situation is also much better. My only complaint is that they never seem to be enough baggers. I don't need anyone to carry my groceries to my car but when I'm trying to balance the kids, getting ready to pay, making sure everything got on the conveyor belt, etc... It sure would be nice to have someone down at the end bagging groceries. These guys have a good beer and wine selection, the store is always very clean, and the customer service is pretty good. I'm going to assume that baggers are the lowest paid employees in the store. It might behoove Publix to spend a little more and provide a better service to their customers. Overall a good shopping experience though. read more

Worst pharmacy here! Customer service is awful. They'll put you on hold over 12 minutes. Call back and transfer me to another department. Called back again . Finally they answer and hanged up the phone with out saying hello. Smh deli sucks too! read more

We have been shopping at this Publix at Corsica Square since they opened due in large part to how friendly and helpful employees are. Even though we live right around the block from the Eureka location (which is also good) we do our main weekly shopping at this one and our short jaunt fill ins at Eureka. Publix has Retail figured out. They are welcoming, passionate, professional, and their BOGOS are many and on good products. read more

The sub ladies always have an attitude. There was no line and the environment was calm. I asked for a chicken sub with light honey mustard. Not only did she pour honey mustard at the beginning, she also poured some more before closing the wrap. She slammed the toppings on, as if I was a bother to her. Throughout the whole time, she acted careless and agitated that I was ordering a sub. My friend ordered a sub and got the same treatment, if not worse. So I came into Yelp to write a bad review of a business that is nearby and realized that I had not given good reviews of those places that I love. We bought our home when there were no roads, no homes, no shopping mall. In order to buy anything we had to drive 10 minutes away. In general, I love Publix Supermarkets. You can imagine how ecstatic I was when they opened a Publix just down the street. And when I say down the street, I mean you can literally walk there. This is great for those who enjoy taking a stroll and getting in a little exercise. For those who prefer to drive, the location is in a great spot and has ample parking. Granted, this is not the biggest Publix you have ever seen, but it's actually an endearing little neighborhood spot. I love that I know exactly where everything is. They don't move stuff around and confuse you when you run in to buy a certain item like some stores. The setup is clean and straight forward. You walk in and the help desk is right there. The Bakery, Deli and Produce departments are to the right. If you go straight ahead you will find the Meats department. Need some milk or eggs? Go left and the Dairy department is there next to the Pharmacy. Items are easily accessible for in and out trips. But, you can also take your time and go aisle to aisle, if you prefer. It's not the cheapest place for some items such as fruits and vegetables; however, if you buy the items that are BOGO (My favorite!!! Buy One, Get One Free) and bring in coupons (try coupons.com) you've got yourself a really affordable and hassle free shopping experience. In particular, I love their fresh baked bread. My new favorite is the Whole Wheat Mountain bread but I also love the Whole Wheat 5 Grain bread. You can call in and they will save you the item you want. Hungry and don't want to cook? The deli is a great place to get a sub that rivals places such as Subway. I read the reviews and yes, there are times when the products in the subway section get scarce during lunchtime and the afternoon rush of parents picking up their kids from the nearby schools. I'd say this is one of the few things that needs improvement. Nevertheless, if you ask the person who is making your sandwich for fresh items, they will stop and open new bags. If you point to the exact bread you want, they will give you that bread. I've even seen one of the employees go out into the store to get an item that was not stocked at the deli for my sandwich. Another improvement could be had in wait times during these little rushes. Luckily, they now have online ordering, for those who are into that type of thing. I prefer to wait and point to exactly what I want. At the Meats department you can find equally helpful staff. They will cut meats to order and will even split portions of items, if you find the packaging too big for your needs. For those who love sushi, you can find a nice array made fresh daily. Again, not the cheapest meats available but very fresh and they price match! Grab items that are on sale or bring in competitor's ads and you will be assured of a great deal. Why do I love Publix? I find that when I walk in, I'm greeted with hellos. If I need help, they walk me to the area I need. If I'm looking for an item that's out of stock at the shelf, they will go in their storage to look for it and when it's not available, they walk me to the front counter to get a rain check. If I'm not happy with an item, they take it back no questions asked and provide me with a store credit. About week ago I asked Mario, the Apron's Chef, for some advise on oil. He was working the register but took a moment to suggest an item which was just what I needed. His recipes are awesome and I'm impressed by his happy demeanor. I can always count on cheerful help from him and all of those working at Publix. Do they have bad days? Sure! Who doesn't? But for the most part, I've encountered a place that I love coming to. And I'm here often...about 3 times a week on average. At Publix I am assured of amazing service, great items and stress free shopping. That's why I can confidently say that Shopping really is a Pleasure (corny, I know but it's true. LOL). This review is my way of saying "Thank You" to all of you at my neighborhood Publix. Even though the Corsica Square- store #1062 is only 1/4 mile from my house, I'm now driving 2 miles to the Country Walk store. Numerous times lately there has been no French bread available in the early morning with bakery staff reporting- "one more hour", "twenty more minutes", "just went into the oven", or "equipment problems". Recently, the "french bread" on sale in the rack- at least 20 loaves, was less than 1/2 normal length, undercooked, and very fat with holes. When asked, I was told they took it out of the oven too soon, and was then given an acceptable loaf freshly out of the oven. Recently, a bakery employee told me not to expect french bread early in the morning. Why was the defective bread on sale? The bakery personnel do not seem to care. These problems have been reported to 3 of the store "managers" over a period of time who alway say they are sorry for my experience, but never correct the problems. This has been going on for many months. Also, other items I regularly purchase have frequently been unavailable at this store, with the usual comment- "the truck will be here tomorrow". I've never had any of these problems at the County Walk store, and have been a loyal Publix customer since I came to Florida in the 1960's- over 50 years ago. read more

The store itself is nice, but the service is lacking. Many employees are awkward, give dirty looks, and seem cultish amongst each other. The front of the store usually has kids on bikes performing tricks and harassing customers, which the management has yet to do anything about. read more

I usually go here because its close to where I live but the last few times I've visited this publix they were out of everything and this was between 12 and 3pm.
