I had the best experience this evening going to Publix with my husband to get a pub sub. Can I just say that Jenny, James and Greg are amazing people and made our trip to get dinner so nice. Jenny is such a sweetheart and really enjoys her job. She is positive and takes care in doing her job making subs. I appreciated her conversation while making my sub. Greg is funny and loves what he does and it shows. James is engaging and leaves a smile on your face. Thanks to all three for making our evening so pleasant. Saw the agents standing around as I approached to check-out... obviously plotting to provide a great experience! I was taken back on how helpful and courteous the staff was with me ... I had even forgotten to get an item (ICE) and another employee overhearing the conversation immediately volunteered and got me the Ice... I was exhausted and was having a long week of travel, riddled with unfortunate events and worries of not having my civil rights recognized, but as harsh as circumstances are-- they got a smile out of me for just being kind. I'm going to Walmart or Family to dollar for our needs unless these crazy prices at local Publix are reduced. Publix has been my go-to Supermarket since I moved to Florida in 2001. Publix puts a strong emphasis on customer service, they have great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and let us not forget they're great subs, affectionately known as Pub Subs. Being from New Jersey, where we have great Subs, I never thought got my go to sub shop would be a supermarket. I strongly recommend a visit here. read more

A nice Publix in a really nice area. The store is clean, employees are very friendly, and check out was a breeze. Finding a parking spot was a bit of a pain though. We popped in here on the way down to Orlando because hubby wanted some of their chicken strips and potato wedges from the deli. They had orange flavoured chicken strips which hubby loved and we've never seen them in that flavour at any of our regular Publix locations in Jacksonville. I'm sure he's going to be on a mission now to find them at a Jacksonville location! Wouldn't hesitate to stop at this Publix again in the future, especially since it's so easy to access from I-95 when we're traveling. read more

The Publix located in Ormond Beach is by far the best grocery store I have ever been in. When you walk in the store is immaculate. The staff always takes the time to greet you and they give off the vibe of that they genuinely care about their customers. The Pharmacy is top notch! they're efficient, friendly and extremely professional. I do not trust the care of my medication to anyone but the lovely pharmacist and Pharmacy stuff at Publix. on occasion, I have called to ask a question and I would get the most informational response without feeling as if I'm a bother or I have to rush. Every other pharmacy should take notes on yours because by far the best!! read more

This is a busy Publix location. I came to pick up a some Florida strawberries for my mom. The were easy to find and the store was busy on Friday morning. I went in the express lane and it was quick and easy. They opened more lanes as it got busier. All the staff and most customers were wearing masks. read more

I just noticed several people mentioning parking issues here. First of all, it's Publix, so yeah, the parking lot is going to be busy. BUT, it's a large strip mall, there's ALWAYS a parking spot, and I'm not saying 10 minutes away. I live down the street and have been shopping here for 3 years now, there is always a parking spot, you just may have to walk a few more yards. Still, this is a good Publix, service is always great and the selection is good as well. read more

This is the larger Publix in the area. The bakery is wonderful and the staff throughout the store is great. They have a large selection of green wise and organic foods as well and I rarely have to go to LOVES whole food around the corner to get anything else that they do not have here. They are currently getting some renovation done to the pharmacy and produce section it looks like. The wine selection is vast for a supermarket. They make fresh sushi rolls as well that you can pick up for a quick meal. read more

Stopped here on the way to Orlando to grab myself something to eat....I decided to grab something from the Deli rather than going to a drive-thru for something. I got chicken strips and potato wedges. They had regular and orange glazed strips, which I've never seen in a Publix Deli in Jacksonville. I got the glazed ones and they were really tasty.... The store was clean and the customer service exceptional...I don't expect anything less from a Publix supermarket. The only issue I had with this store was the parking... But that can be an issue at any Publix. If we are in the area and need a grocery store in the future this will be the one we visit. read more

Ormond Beach, things move just a bit slower here. I used to live just up the road from this Publix location, so it was my go to for many years when I needed to make a grocery trip. Disclaimer: Something about going grocery shopping puts me in a seriously bad mood, and I think it started with this location. Parking isn't normally bad, but you may have to do a couple of circles on busier days, or wait for people to cross the crosswalk. Since Omrond is a bit of a retirement community, expect your shopping experience to move at a snails pace. The aisles are a bit smaller at this location, so you spend a lot of time waiting for a small break to maneuver around folks to get on down the aisle. And that's ok if you have all the time in the world, or enjoy going to the grocery, but me, I want to get in and out as fast as possible, kinda like that old show "Super Market Sweeps." While they have almost everything you need, my limited grocery store patience doesn't make this my most favorite location. However, it's the best option Beachside people have for miles, and definitely ok for a quick trip in for some snacks for the beach. read more

The store set up is easy to navigate. Neatly organized aisles, clean bathrooms, and friendly/helpful employees. This is a common trend at all of the Publix's I have been to. There were also plenty of registers open to check out, which helped to get in and out of the store quickly during my lunch break. This was my first time shopping at this location. I went to grab a quick bite for lunch. I love the soups at Publix, particularly the Chicken Tortilla and the Turkey Sausage/Sweet Potato/Kale. The only problem is it's hit or miss whether Publix has the soups I like. What stood out to me about this store is that they have a menu listing all of the soups they will have for each day of the week. Great idea--I wish my regular Publix would do that because it is very helpful! read more

A very busy store. Parking - especially handicap parking is nigh on impossible to find. I find the store to be arranged strangely. Not being from around here we just wanted to run in and grab a few items quickly. It took quite a while to find what we were looking for. Worst of all though are the other patrons. During the twenty minutes I was in the store I had one lady shoulder me out of the way in front of the milk, same lady nearly ran me over with her cart in another isle and then the lines were long and not at all helped by the couple that jumped in front us in the 10 item only express lane with 17 items! Love this Publix. It has a liquor store with my favorite hard to find wine Creme de Lys Chardonnay. I like that it is located to Beall's Outlet Store and is never crowded. read more

My update is strictly for the DELI department. I frequently visit Publix just because of the selection of meats and cheeses that they offer. The customer service last night really sucked. They had two people working the deli counter and they could definitely use more help. After waiting for fifteen minutes, I got passed over for two other customers, even though I had taken a number. When I made mention that I had been passed over, the employee that wound up helping me acted very defensively towards and I felt treated like I was a burden. After last night, I'm done with this Publix. read more

Great location right off the highway and they were very serious about their cleanliness as they were preparing the store to be clean and presentable early in the morning. Back home everything is cheaper. Pasta in boxes get bugs. Pasta in bags don't. Why do you only have boxes of pasta? They also get moist living on the shore. Can we get bottle "spring" water from Poland springs in Maine. Why nestle shipped water in from another country. I just don't get it. This is a Brand new upgraded joint too. This is a must stop on the way home from the beach! I must say it isn't often you would choose a supermarket for after beach food rather than a regular restaurant. But this Publix has such fresh food no matter the department you are in it makes you want to stop. The Deli has the freshest most yummy goodies, the Chicken is always hot fresh out of the fryers, and the seafood dept. Let me tell you if you like Sushi you are in for a treat they have such a wide variety you would think Jet Li & Jackie Chan were the managers. Probably the worst produce department I have ever seen! They should be ashamed. Purchased to tomatoes that had no flavor, bagged green beans looked fine on the outside however the ones in the middle were limp and almost spoiled. Seems the same with grapes. I think they rebar them putting in loose ones and overripe ones. Personally witnessed restocking of peaches that were almost being tossed into the display. Explaining why most are bruised when ripe. Bagged lettuce is in the display with past due use by dates and the current date. read more

I went to the deli to get dinner and I got the 3 piece tender meal and I really wanted potato wedges and there was none left and I went at 7:30pm and they don't close until 10pm and she didn't offer to make more and there was only one scoop of mash potatoes left and only 5 tenders left. I usually shop at Publix in the Trails. Today I was out near I-95 so I stopped in at the Publix near Bealls. I would recommend some customer service training for the personnel. No, I'd recommend lots of it. The cashier never spoke a word to me until she told me how much I owed. She never said "thank you." Nor did the woman who was bagging my groceries. Instead, while the cashier checked my groceries, she chatted with the bagger about having to get up early the next morning and take her car in for service. I won't post the name of the cashier here, but I suspect they all need customer service training. Your customers have options on where to shop. I flat-out won't shop elsewhere, despite the, um, soul who decried this store herein. The spring water is packaged by Nestle but comes from a spring not more than an hour's drive southwest of Ormond Beach. Bacon is a regular part of our family's diet and $7.00 Oscar Meyer bacon isn't . . because such doesn't exist. Neither are eggs for $6.50 (how many? We buy 18 XL eggs and pay less than that. Look, this store has clean aisles, shelves and phenomenal employees, from management downward. Indeed, one is as likely to see management working in the aisles and on the shelves as anywhere else, except the checkouts. Good people, good food, excellent prices make for a pleasant shopping experience. Anytime, any day, every day. Period. Oh, and the "shareholders" also referenced elsewhere? The only Publix shareholders are the employees. Publix has repeatedly been rated as among the best for which to work because the employees have a piece of the action. read more
