I frequent this Publix but I just ordered a custom cake from the bakery for my husband's birthday and it turned out perfect! Can't wait to taste it later on! Florida native here and have been shopping at Publix my whole life. This location is absolutely the WORST I've ever been to. The inventory control is ridiculous. They rarely have even the most basic things in stock. Many of the employees are rude and obviously hate their jobs. The stock people make zero effort to keep the aisles passable while stocking the shelves and they and other employees will often walk in front of customers, cutting them off. The pharmacy staff is downright rude. I hate going to get my prescriptions. The bathrooms are always gross, and the produce is often lacking as well. The management is obviously inept. They even had kids in their late teens-early 20's running around in there not too long ago blasting air horns in people's faces and management did absolutely nothing to stop them. Nothing. We live directly across the street from this store but travel 20 minutes out of our way to the North Port location where it's a thousand times better. Night and day different. read more

Rotten organic apples, berries, & other organic produce is a very common occurrence at this location. I purchased this apple yesterday & it was very challenging trying to pick any out that weren't withering & obviously starting to rot, but I tried. This store really needs to work on their organic produce condition. It's the worst. read more

This Publix Location is Absolutely the Worst Grocery Store I have ever had to Frequent (Many Times)! To start, the parking here is atrocious; there is either somebody in front of you that won't move, behind you riding your bumper or pulling out in front of you! Not to mention the people that will walk right out in front of your car or Block the entrance with there Cart while people are trying to exit the grocery store! Once you have a wrist your life to get inside of the grocery store you have the realization that the size of this location is severely inadequate. The isles need to be twice the size and the entire store needs to be twice the size! The attitudes of the patrons that choose this location of shop at are horrific! And it rubs off on the staff who really do not care at all. My dad ordered a BLT sandwich and afterwords made the staff member then decided to tell him they had no tomatoes when she made the sandwich! How does one make a BLT sandwich without the tomatoes! My dad commented that they had a whole section of tomatoes in the produce aisle and he was told they were not able to use those. (Even to accommodate a customer) And lastly the lines are ridiculously long no matter what time of day you go to this location. It gives me anxiety just knowing that I have to stop by here. I will never return to this location and I would recommend to anyone reading this that they take an extra 10 minutes and drive to the location in Boca Grande! The prices here are out of control,been here for some time and in the beginning they were very accommodating and would bend over backwards to assist you. The meat and the produce departments are lacking in freshness and any type of variety. Save your money and time go to Sam's club or super Walmart in north port for variety and a great price. The customer service stand would not accept my five gallon water bottle exchange and was rude about it (Blonde haired short young man with glasses and tattoos all up his forearm). Prices are out of control, steaks are horrible and the seafood is not fresh. Save your money and go to Sam's Club or Walmart. The best thing they have going for them is the gentleman who makes incredible sushi. I spend over six hundred dollars a week there due to proximity ...not anymore. I believe I have seen 4 different sizes of Publix: 1. Large 2. Medium 3. Small 4. Eensie Teensie I would categorize this as a Small store that gets a lot of foot traffic. It appears to have recently undergone some renovations to the interior. I can see where the old Customer Service desk used to be located. The interior always feels clean and the associates are always helpful. read more

Love publix, best employees, subs and service of any grocery or retail store in the state. Words cannot express my love of this store accurately. Ever since I moved in the area I cone here at least 3 times a week for weekly groceries, quick hot dinners, or a random errand. It's the best around and it excels at everything they do. read more
