On Sunday March 22nd I had just left the ER and I could not pump my gas. On the gas pump there was a handicap sticker with a phone number that said if you need assistance call. I called and they said someone would be right out. A nice young man pumped gas into my red mustang! I has tears in my eyes, Walmart wouldn't even bring my prescription out, but Wawa pumped my gas! read more

Every employee in this Wawa is top notch. So friendly and helpful. Really A++. This is the Wawa in port charlotte off 41 and midway.

You know, I kept hearing people talk bad about this location and never went there. I then started working down in Port Charlotte and finally got to go inside. My first few trips were for coffee, a little fruit cup, hard boiled eggs. Then the last two times I visited, I ordered sandwiches. The first time, about a month ago, I got Turkey and Swiss panini with Avocado. The Avocado tasted more like guacamole and the bread was toasted so long the bread was more of a weapon than a sandwich asset. Not to mention the employees might work a tad faster if they stopped chitchatting about weekend parties. Now, fast forward to last week, I gave them another try and ordered another turkey and Swiss (no Avocado thank you) on toasted bread with pickles. There were so many people that came in after me and got their sandwiches. The music is so loud here and the employees in the sandwich department are so soft spoken. It's a surprise that anyone heard them at all. Someone told me that I had to pay first, which is not true at all, so I went to pay. When I came back, i was eating the cheese stick I paid for and waited another 5 minutes. Finally the low initiative employee finally asked if anyone had that number attached to my sandwich, and when I came up, she apologized. She never bothered to call my number. I finally get to eat my sandwich. The bread, once again overly toasted, was so hard I couldn't even eat it and my pickles didn't even make it soggy! I know that up north where Wawas originated their sandwiches were always top notch and I loved having them. Leave it to Florida to destroy my view of Wawa sandwiches. My recommendation, pass on sandwiches here and maybe just grab your gas to go to Publix and get a better made sandwich. read more

I came here for coffee most mornings to this newer Wawa. As time goes on this store is getting dirtier and nastier. Walking into vestibules smells like dirty smelly people all the time. The coffee station tends to be trashed but today was ridiculous. It's 8 am in a Sunday and there is trash everywhere on seats outside the coffee station is nasty and there isn't a clean space available to get my coffee. Plenty of people working guess they just don't feel like cleaning. I know it's customers who make the mess but it still needs to be kept clean and usable. There is no reason at this time of the morning it should look this gross. I would never buy food here if this is how they keep the coffee bar and tables. Shame it's gone down hill so fast. read more

Came in and ordered 2 bacon ranch wraps, I got 2 wraps with chicken and only ranch... I asked if they can reorder my wrap and they told me that I didn't order that! How are you going to tell me what I ordered and didn't order, they told me I customized it that way, they offered to give me a side of bacon, I decided I would just order 2 more, I ordered it the same way never hitting a customization option.. now I'll never be reimbursed for the bacon I ordered and forced to buy what I originally already bought.. I thought the customer service as always right, it's like they don't want to admit that they simply forgot to add the bacon.. what happened to customer service really? read more

The ordering system is very efficient. Even though the place was relatively crowded there were enough kiosks to order and then self checkout kiosks to pay. After paying my food was ready surprisingly fast. The $2 iced coffee was very tasty and the recommended levels of sweetness worked well for me. I was tempted to get the largest size iced coffee since they were the same price but knew my body would regret that since I would have difficulty stopping until it was finished. The bowl sadly was a bit of a disappointment. The meat was tasty, but the eggs were clearly powdered and a bit tough to eat based on the texture and taste. There was a lot of quantity but I just couldn't finish it. I wasn't sure what type of vegetables would be added when I paid for that extra, but the ones that were added were not my favorite. Maybe next time I'd try ordering something else like the honey chicken biscuit. read more

We got 6 special drinks and made it all the way home and while my son was drinking his he discovered he had a freshly cut nail in it. I called the store and spoke with the manager Jason, I told him about the nail and he proceeded to tell me there was no way that could have happened that "the guy" making the drinks was wearing gloves. Needless to say the customer service was horrible and there was no customer service or satisfaction offered he pretty much called me a liar and didn't offer a refund or anything! I will never return to this location again and we are frequent shoppers. Jason needs to learn to listen to his customers and not that them like that when we pay his salary! read more

Wawa is one of the best things in Florida moved here six months ago from Massachusetts where we don't have Wawas, The coffee bar is the best they even have little tiny baby marshmallows that you can put on your hot chocolate or coffee if you'd like. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and I had a quesadilla the other day with jalapeño peppers that was just awesome. If you haven't stop by a Wawa's you need to today!!! read more

I've seen Wawa's everywhere in the South and I've finally stopped and checked it out, and it did not disappoint. I got a Turkey Southwestern Melt and it was just as good as Panera Bread. The bread was perfectly toasted and the amount of food for the price was a bonus. However I the sandwich could due with more seasoning or dressing to add more flavor. read more

People love WAWA! We were super thrilled to get our grand opening free coffees! A loved that they had almond milk as a choice to add to coffee in lieu I have traditional coffee creamer's which are also available. I was bummed that there were no pretzels when we arrived. Later they brought out some cheese pretzels but I am allergic to cheese so, we settled for splitting a giant rice crispy treat which was pretty delicious. It's a really fancy gas station :-) you can order sandwiches salads and what not on electronic boards without having to talk to anyone lol , you pay for your order up front and then wait for them to call out your number... Some of my younger friends are a fan of milkshakes and slushies! Interestingly enough (the Internet says) WAWA means goose (Canada goose) in a native American Ojibwe language from the Delaware Valley/Pennsylvania region where the company started in the early 1800s as a foundry, dairy farm, dairy market and eventually convenience market. every time i come here they seem to always be out of whatever im ordering. Its on the order pad saying they have the item and bu the time i go to pay they tell me theyre out of said item ( tonight being the chicken corn chowder and other nights is usually meatballs or even the iceburg lettuce for salads) theyre always so inconsistent on what they actually have and its kind of ridiculous. i use to hype this place up to my friends and now all i do is get disappointed. Have had lunch here several times since they opened. The turkey club sandwich with a cup of soup is my go too. Sometimes if they are busy there is a bit of a wait but I've never felt like the wait was too long. Everyone I've talked to in the store has been friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more

My biggest issue: This arbitrary policy of not making coffee past 7. This establishment remains fairly busy into the late evening, and every other Wawa we have been to extends this minor service. This isn't 7-11. read more
