Went to do normal shopping after completely scanning all groceries and having them loaded into cart computer crashes. We had to start all over at another register. Customer behind me loses his mind instantly demanding a manager. Now keep in mind there's self checkout he could of easily went too. He had 10 items if not less. Julia held herself together strong and kept a smile the whole time. kept scanning my groceries. Whole process took less then 15 minutes. My kind of store and will keep coming back! read more

i have not had a problem until this last time. i did not receive all the items and for the two fors i only got one. the items not received are a loaf bread,hotdog buns,one box taco mix . fruit cup,i ordered four and only got two. ,brownie mix, green pepper. this is all i know of thus far. read more

I used to joke about the commercials for Winn-Dixie, "you getting better all the time". As if this saying we're not good enough to say where in the top five grocery stores but they were getting better. It's like shooting for last place. That was until they redid Winn-Dixie over! It is now without a doubt the best grocery store in Charlotte County! I used to shop there only for two things, the Diets and Watson roast beef and the buy one get one free items in the meat market. That was four years ago. You have to see the total renovation, words cannot describe how beautiful it looks. Not to mention all the updates and new products that have been added into the deli and made to order stations. On top of that the employees and managers are by far the most helpful people I have ever met while shopping. I wish I could give them 10 stars, maybe I'll write two reviews five stars each. lol All they even have Wi-Fi and free coffee... but the coffee is a little bit, umm how the French say it, "jus de chaussettes". But, I'm sure they'll be getting better with that all the time. read more

Went there to get a flu shot, they advertise walk-ins ok. Got there 15 minutes before they go to lunch and told me they did not have enough time and to come back later. Went there 2 days later and were told they reached their quota for the day (this before noon). Was told they wouldn't have enough for their appointments. I went home and immediately got appointments for that same day at 2:00 pm. Terrible experience!!! read more

when we moved to Port Charlotte, Fl from Michigan I only wanted to shop at Walmart or Aldi, but the "Win Win" commercials caught my husbands attention and talked me into shopping there. We have shopped there now several times and have been happy, But my husband and I are literally done with Winn Dixie. my husband shopped there this last time where he tried to pay with his cashapp card, the first time he swiped it "declined" , he tried it a second time "declined" . at that time he approached the employee and asked if the transaction might have gone through and he was told no, so he used a different card which the charge went through. after he got home he noticed the 2 charges were on his cashapp card "pending" my husband stopped up to the store the next day where they said the charges will drop out of pending. the charges then posted being taken out of our account 2 days after he was told that. after calling the corporate office we still yet are trying to solve this overcharge with them. we tried to explain to them it's hard enough for families to buy groceries let alone trying to cover the price 3 times the amount. their statement " Sorry theirs nothing we can do here at the store" you would think to keep a customer Winn Dixie would compensate quickly on $82! read more

Worst pharmacy in Port Charlotte. A year ago, this pharmacy was pretty good but since then, someone new is running it and it is the worst. Every time I stop in to pick up a prescription, they say, "We don't have it." I have to call my doctors office and they resend it. 30 minutes later, they will say the same thing. After an hour, someone will say, " Oh, here it is". It was clear that they had it all the time. Recently, I needed a prescription sent to a different Winn-Dixie. I called and was told, "Give us two hours." Three hours later, they had not done what was promised. I plan to change insurance carriers so I can use a different pharmacy. read more

Went to this Winn Dixie earlier about eleven am was ignored by one of the deli lady like she couldn't see me and decided to do some dishes. There was another lady that was helping another customer. Once she got done doing the dishes she approached a customer that just arrived and asked her what she needed. I spoke up and informed the deli lady that I was next and received a very dirty look from her She rudely ask me what I want and started to cut the cold cut I asked for she put it on the scale and proceeded to give me what she cut and I asked her if it was two pounds and she rudely told me that it was closed enough and that is all she was willing to do I told her she's very rude and needs to learn how to talk to customers. I talked to a manager for that department and was told to go somewhere else if I want to be treated better. read more

I love this Winn-Dixie. It is the biggest one yet. They have lots of fresh ready to go stuff and kiosks with meats,seafoods etc. wide variety of brands including main stream and off brands. It is well run and clean and they observe CDC guidelines for COVID. This particular shop is compatible to our best Publix. read more

This Supermarket chain has stepped up their game in recent months here in Port Charlotte. With a completely remodeled store and great new prepared food areas this place has potential to quickly become the food shopping location in the area. The chicken in all forms is delicious, from fried to wings to rotisserie. If you haven't been in awhile it is time to give it a visit again. read more

I shop here because it is close by, but have to go to two other grocery stores to get the stuff I need. This place doesn't sell enough vegan foods. With more people becoming vegans each year I am surprised that they don't sell more than they do. All of the major chains have stepped up and started carrying more vegan items. Please bring the Tofurkey, Tofutti sour cream and cream cheese, field roast and Daiya cheese! Even Publix carries these items. Winn Dixie could be cashing in on these products instead of Publix. I have to go to Earth Origins and Publix for half of my grocery needs. So for that reason, I give you three stars. read more

I am in a wheelchair van that deploys a ramp. When I pulled into the handicapped parking space someone had left a shopping cart in the space the ramp would deploy. Paul an employee of Winn Dixie was helpful when I called him over to move the cart. He not only moved that cart but moved other carts in the pathway. Awesome employee and awesome store. So, after shopping 3-4 times a week faithfully using the Rewards card since it was first issued - it is now changing to a "partners" reward card....except the gas partner is now Exxon-Mobil!! Yep, the same company that devastated the Gulf of Mexico with the largest oil spill ever, put thousands of fishermen out of work, was fined the largest fine in history for negligence and doesn't even have a gas station in our town!! Way to Go Winn Dixie..it's Publix from now on. read more

The store is okay but the prices are high. My real complaint is my misfortune in having signed up for their Plenti card. In that process you have to give your email and phone. I now get about two dozen contacts a week on my phone from Winn Dixie...plus several more from Plenti. I have gone to the unsubscribe button every day for the past two months and still i get their damned ads. I can't escape them. Help!!!! read more

This Winn Dixie is usually kept clean and stocked. The staff is helpful and friendly. The prices are high as with all Winn Dixies. The only downside would be how crowded it can be most times I go there. The customer service line is always long and sometimes it can take awhile to be seen. The store is clean and the fresh food is great value. The pharmacy department is a different store. The pharmacist look up and down at you, decide if you are a drug addict before filling a doctor's prescription. She stated she did not have the medication. My neighbor whom was prescribed the same medication for different procedure was able to get the medication 1 hour later.
