This Publix can be hit or miss. I've come here several times wanting a wrap from the deli and was told they were out. I've visited the Publix in Homewood and asked for a wrap the employee went and got a pack of spinach wrap and made me one instead of saying they were out. Also they are always out of fried chicken. The store itself is good but when it comes to the deli/bakery area....I'd have to give it a thumbs down. read more

Publix is always convenient to get just basic items and even though they have buy 1 get 1 free on select products, most of there stuff is too high to do your regular grocery shopping. I can say they have some good sushi and every Wednesday you can purchase sushi for just $5 dollars. The pastry is always something I've be tempted to purchase and they're good, but some of there slice cakes be too sweet for my taste. They offer sample of cookies, but they're only for kids which a sign is needed to let customers know before asking for a sample. Another issue that bother me is while waiting to be checked out, I heard the cashier asked a customer in front of me if they would like to make a donation to some charity. When it was my turn, that same cashier didn't bother asking me if I'll like to a donation which he assumed I wouldn't or I didn't have any money. read more

This is not our normal public, but it's near our church. This public is super clean and very well organized. Even though we were only in the store a few minutes, several employees asked us if we needed help finding anything, etc. Talk about customer service! The parking lot is a little interesting... one row has yellow barriers to prevent cars from cutting across the exit the parking lot. There needs to be better signage alerting customers which row to drive down to exit, instead of going down the wrong one and then having to turn around. Otherwise, excellent store! I'm sure we'll be back when we're in the area. read more

Definately my favorite super market on the East Coast. One thing I like is the local section each store featuring products from that state. Their prepared foods section is next level and I am a fan of their in house sushi/poke selection. read more

I hate this store. They ruined my child's first birthday. We placed an order for his cake and cupcakes for pickup on his bday at 4pm to be ready for his party. We get there, they did not even start on it and said they couldn't find the order or number for it. They offered to make it and we agreed we come back an hour or so later when they mentioned to and would not give it to us because we did not have the receipt on us. However, WE BOUGHT IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU RUNG IT UP. We had to cancel his party and reschedule it . Also having to find somewhere else to get his cakes made. Will not deal with this Publix ever again read more

Prices are pricey but the service, selection and taste, buttery ness and amazing ness of their Tenderloin wins by far. You get what you pay for and the meat here is Devine. read more

Customer service is always great at this location. Huge selection, especially the fresh vegetables. The pharmacy is quick, and easy to deal with - my go to pharmacy. Store is kept clean. I do wish getting in and out of the parking lot was easier here. It is a cramped location, and makes me not want to come here as often. read more

We love Publix! Every one we know loves Publix. Their customer service is phenomenal. I've never been in a supermarket where every employee was asking if you needed help. As an introvert, it's almost to the point of annoying, but I see that they take pride in treating the customer well. Likewise, their store is clean and well stocked. This Publix has a pharmacy, which we use, a deli, a bakery, a florist, a seafood department, and all the other usual features. Their food variety is descent, with the only thing lacking is a good international variety; however, this is more than likely due to the location of the store. Trussville is pretty vanilla. Publix does have great fried chicken (and fried chicken fingers). Probably the best in town. They also have great sub sandwiches (made to order). I particularly like their buffalo chicken sub, made with the above chicken fingers. My only complaint with Publix is that it's a bit expensive. I often overlook this because of the other things listed above plus their convenience to my home. We always look for their BoGo (buy one get one) deals. These are always great and they seem to have great items on sale every week. You don't have to purchase two for the special price if you were wondering. Overall, great supermarket. I come often and always have a great experience. Happy shopping. read more

I stopped at this Publix on Valentines Day morning to get flowers for my wife and daughter. I bought two bouquets for a total of $42. Two days later, the flowers were dead and completely wilted. I really do not like this particular Publix at all. read more

I normally have a very pleasant experience here at our local Publix but today not so much. I called in two deli sandwiches (philly cheese steaks) they take awhile to make so I called them in. When I arrived no one recalled taking the order and asked me if I had called the right store. They looked in a few places for them. The one lady says "I'm gonna need some help making them" to her co workers. Thats when I said it's ok we will go to subway. And they were ok with that. Terrible customer service today. I heart Publix! I heart Publix in Trussville even more! Publix in Trussville has everything you are looking for: great customer service, fair prices, good employee benefits, super clean, quality products. The customer service here at Publix is among the best. The only rival is Whole Foods which is much too expensive and too far for most of us Trussvillites to get to. From the grocers, to management, to checkout staff, they are amazing. Next, the prices are fair. Sure walmart is home of the "always low" pricing scheme, but they simply lack class. Publix manages to keep prices at a point that we can agree with, and still make a little money. Its certainly affordable, better than Win Dixie in my opinion. Also, the employee benefits are much better than other local options. What's important about employee benefits? We want to do more for our community than just provide miserable jobs for folks. Publix offers tuition assistance for example, not many places can say that. Its a very important benefit for alot of younger folks. Furthermore, publix is very clean. I always find the restrooms particularly spotless. It sounds silly but they have the cleanest facilities in Trussville by far. Finally, Publix provides quality products: expecially meat and produce. If there is one thing I will go out of my way to drive to Publix for, its this. They have a better seafood selection than any other grocery store in the area. The produce is generally a very good quality. When I buy broccoli, it doesn't start turning the next day like others. In conclusion, Publix in Trussville is really the best. They provide everything I look for in a grocery store with an excellent balance. I love the customer service, prices, employee benefits, cleanliness, and quality of products. I do not have Publix where I live, yet stopped into this location twice on a recent visit to Alabama. Absolutely stunned by the incredibly helpful service on the floor, and the store itself. Everything seemed to be well-stocked, clean, inviting and perfectly showcased. I have never been in a grocery store that demonstrated as much regard for their customers as this location of Publix. In two short visits I encountered 5-6 different staff members that were unbelievably courteous and helpful. It is strange to say this, yet it was fun going in there. Totally impressed. read more

Convenient to my new neighborhood. Very friendly staff. Always clean and organized. Has a good variety and I'm even typically able to find things that I haven't seen in other smaller stores (tahini, powdered peanut butter, etc.) So far, has not had the best produce of many of the Publix I have been to but definitely still better than places like Walmart. Also, very busy when I have been in which makes it hard to move around and shop but there are several communities nearby. read more
