A smaller Publix grocery store, located on the second floor. The lower (ground floor) is parking. Due to the number of supports in the parking lot the spaces are narrow and can be tricky to get into and out of. But there is also some outdoor parking. There are elevators from ground (parking) floor up to the Grocery Store on the second floor which enables the customer to avoid having to carry groceries down a staircase. The store itself is on the smaller side. The Publix in Madeira Beach is newer and larger. This Treasure Island store can also be reached by boat. read more

Husband shopped at this Publix recently. He was checked out by Tracy. After checking out and loading groceries in his car he discovered he was missing the eggs and half-and-half he had selected while shopping. He returned to the store and asked Tracy what happened to his eggs and half-and-half. She stated that they were restocked. He had to go back through the store and get his two items. When he finally got home and was unpacking the groceries he discovered there were eight more items missing. So basically Tracy did not complete checking through his entire basket of items. No one said anything to him when he walked away initially. Why wouldn't Tracy have asked him if the rest of the items sitting on the belt were his. He contacted customer service who apologized. There could've been some initiative to question why there were all these items left behind that didn't belong to the customer behind him that was waiting to be checked out. This Public was a great store to shop at until Suzann the manager was sent to another store. The new manager is horrible. The store is understaffed and out of items all the time. The wait to check out is horrible. read more

Publix, Love this chain of grocery stories! I have always had good experience in these stories there associates are more helpful than you can imagine. And, there stores are very clean and well maintained. The deli is awesome from there chicken (especially the hot n spicy wings 20 piece box).I am good 3x a week for those for the past 3 yrs! Will not eat wings from anywhere else. In Florida you have to ask to have them sauced. Georgia already has them sauced. Also from the bakery side if you want the best pizza dough to buy get it from the bakery, make your own pizza you'll never order pizza out again! The meat dept. is awesome I buy from the butcher case steaks are great! My main Publix store now is in Treasure Island...love my new home store! PUBLIX rocks!! Wished they'd put on in Spring, Tx ...so I could go visit my best friend, will not go because no Publix and this girl has a chicken wing addiction ! read more

My first experience at Publix. This store is very expensive in my opinion; more so than Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and similar stores. I read another review that echoed similar opinion on expensive. The reviewer speculated that it was due to the location, wealthy area? I find that an unacceptable practice, e.g., $2 more for a tray of strawberries because rich folks live in the area. We spent $125 on food which would have been about $85 at our Kroger store in Cincinnati. Live and learn! WalMart is only 2 miles away from where we are staying. So guess what. In their defense the store is nice and selection is good. I was disappointed in the produce selection though. I am accustomed to a wider variety at home and they grow the stuff here, go figure! It's a small publix with a great bakery, seafood and meat dept. The store is on the 2nd floor with parking underneath it in a garage area. On the weekends I usually park in spots outside the garage because with the tourists it gets busy. Publix is reasonable in cost and has a lot of bogo specials each week. It's a great chain and a nice store. There's a subway restaurant in the building and this store is right across from the beach parking area and beach entrance on Gulf Blvd. Also in the afternoon they prepare a recipe and give out samples and the recipes. It gives you great ideas for what to cook for dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a great location. read more

Love this store. We live locally and it is not overpriced, especially considering the location. I find the prices the same as other publix off the island and their is always plenty of help. Deli is very nice with a large selection of quality items. We often preorder our deli items so they are waiting for us when we get there to avoid the line. Only down fall is that parking is tough if you use the covered parking lot. read more

Overpriced because there is no competition and many prlces are higher than other publications off the beach. But if you don't have access to a car and staying on the beach you don't have much choices. Their bakery sweet products are really poor quality. read more
