Absolutely love coming to this Publix. It is located in a bit of a busier area but luckily their parking lot does exceptionally well making up for it. Plenty of parking spaces that extend far out. Every visit I'm always able to find exactly what I'm looking for and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful if I am looking a bit lost. One of my favorite things to look forward to during my lunch break is their array of sushi choices. Everything is always fresh and well stocked with a variety of different flavors. Wednesdays happen to be my favorite due to their $5 dollar sushi deal. All of the produce is incredibly fresh and always ripe! The hot bar/olive bar is always a plus as well if you're looking for a quick fix or an easy meal. Pleasant vibes all around! Definitely recommend anyone to stop in. read more

Publix is my go-to supermarket and for good reason. They offer incredible customer service, the supermarkets themselves are attractive, they offer great BOGO's (buy one, get one free) and you cannot discuss Publix without bringing up their subs (affectionately known as "Pub Subs"). Being from New Jersey, it is hard to accept that a supermarket can offer some of the better subs in the area, but in the case of Publix, it is a simple fact. Again, Publix has always put an emphasis on their customer service and they certainly make you feel welcome. It seems every Publix employee is walk by, they make it a point to greet me. I have to say that it does go a long way. You really cannot go wrong with Publix in terms of heading to a Publix for your supermarket needs. They are well-stocked, clean, staffed with an amazing team, and let's not forget those subs. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Publix and I will give it five stars overall. read more

He was super helpful, polite, and actually went out of his way to assist me, something you don't see often anymore. just a really kind, respectful young guy who clearly cares about doing a good job. This review is specifically for the deli department. I do not know her name but there is a lady behind the counter making Publix subs and she was such a delight. She was very communicative of all the guests that were waiting and ensuring that they were taken care of. She made my sub and asked every question possible that I barely had to tell her what exactly I wanted. She was on top of it! What I was very impressed by was not just her memory of my order but the customer service with me and everyone else in line. I was only visiting Orlando when I went to this Publix. Friend of mine got at a job at Disney World. Asked me to drive from the northwest to Florida with him. BEING THE GOOD FRIEND THAT I IS.....I of course said yes. Actually, I was very happy to help him out. We did the drive and of course, shortly after arriving, we needed a grocery store. First, we went to Lucky Mart. Stay tuned for that review, haha! Second, Winn-Dixie. Again, good lordt, stay tuned hahaha! And thirdly (not a word, but TA-DAY! (In my oprah voice) IT IS A WORD! hahaha!) Thirdly, we found a Publix. My buddy used to live in Orlando years ago and spoke fondly of Publix. Most people who have a Publix almost always have nice things to say about the store and my visit to this one....I now understand why people speak nice of it. Compared to Winn-Dixie, this is night and day. Publix, although you may pay a few extra pennies, it's worth it. You shop where you're comfortable and I mean, c'mon, who doesn't love a perfectly laid out, clean, friendly grocery store? Walmart shoppers don't count. Usually when we, people, whomever goes into a Walmart, they don't give af about anything lol. We all know this to be true, too lol This Publix, again, laid out nicely, super clean, friendly staff, very helpful, shoppers were nice and clean, no Walmart types hahaha! I go to Walmart too! We all do! Some of us ONLY when it's absolutely necessary hahahaha! But we know it's a whole different breed of people in there and that usually makes it fun.....or frighteningly interesting? Lol Publix, I don't mean to compare you to them. I posted a meme on Facebook the other day and it had grocery stores in Florida and you were on it and was a good pic. Winn-Dixie, Whole Foods, Walmart were the other stores and it was "people grocery shopping in Florida be like...." it was funny. Anyway, if you live in Orlando, Florida, or any state where you're lucky enough to have a Publix, then you know it's a very pleasant experience. For us who live out west, we have Safeway, Albertsons etc...I mention them because Publix reminds me of Safeway. Again, you may pay a little more at Publix (like you would at Safeway or at Albertsons where you pay WAAAAAAY more! Ugh) but it's worth it to avoid all the "riff-raff" (old person saying lol). 2 things stood out for me at this particular Publix...2 things in the form of 2 human beings. Our cashier, an older guy, FUNNY. ASF! and the bagger, another older guy, also FUNNNNNYYYY ASF! They made my/our visit even better. They made it to where I wish I had them at my local grocery store and they made it to where my buddy will religiously shop there. These two guys were amazing. They reminded me of like those old school comedy duos..like Laurel and Hardy? Is that their name? I remember as a kid my parents talking about them and how funny they were. These guys would be amazing in a movie or tv show about 2 old guys who are best friends and who have the ability to make people laugh just by a simple face they'd make, hahaha! They have a dry sense of humor. Straight face, but had us rolling! Publix, you're LUCKY to have these two! Best employees at this store that I had the pleasure of coming across, talking to.. These two could work wonders for that AWFUL store and employees over at Goodings, haha! Anyway, I loved it here. Again, wish we had Publix in Idaho and wish these two old guys worked by me hahaha! When employees have an effect on people the way these 2 do/did, you know the store is doing something right. Thanks, Publix! I am a proud frequenter of Publix deli-prepared foods. However, I have to say that I was disappointed with my most recent acquisition: the banana pudding. I have had banana pudding at Publix before, so I was unpleasantly surprised to find it watery and not worth finishing. I know you can do better, so it's only a 3 star review. Their pharmacies buy cheap medications from India so that they can take a larger profit, meanwhile, the medications in pill form are so cheaply made that they begin to dissolve in your mouth before you have a chance to swallow them with water. I must take potassium tablets in prescription form because of the massive dosage I am required to take. The tablets are nearly an inch long and over one half inch in diameter and they immediately break-up into little tiny bead-like fragments that fills your mouth even before you can take a drink of water. The same medication is made by other manufacturers and they include a thin wax type coating on the tablets to prevent them from breaking up. There is no logical or medical reason why the cheap tablets are manufactured to dissolve in one's mouth the way these tablets from India do. I nearly choked to death this afternoon, it took me 20 minutes of coughing and trying to rinse those tiny beads of death out of my throat. I considering consulting an attorney about this situation. read more

I'm sad having to write this review about our beloved PubSub. When I approached the sub station I looked into the veggie display and was appalled by how messy it was. I feel it's not hard to keep clean and orderly. I've never seen such a nasty display at any other publix location. Crumb everywhere, dirty knives, veggies mixed into wrong bins, plastic container on the spinach, really! I never seen that. No surface cleaning supplies in sight. They just continued to work through the mess, putting misplaced veggies on my sub then picking them off. The sub had so much veggies on it she couldn't close it! Which you'd think I wouldn't mind but geez, there was no way to take a bite, but I got it down. At 3 am I woke up to stomach pain. I'm thinking to myself, I never been sick from a PubSub in my life!! Four stars for a well suited supermarket in the outskirts of Windermere. I love coming to the Lakeside Village Publix. Not only are the staff members friendly and helpful, the food is always fresh, the flowers are always bright, and the desserts are out of this world! I order birthday cakes, custom platters, and sushi from this Publix almost on a weekly basis and have not been disappointed. There is always a member of their bakery available to take any custom order, and if they don't know how to do it, they figure out a creative solution. The girls at the bakery are also extremely complementary (which I love ). If there was something I would improve about this Publix, is their variety of Hispanic foods. Since I cook a great deal of Latin dishes, it's a little challenging to find the types of vegetables or condiments that I would generally use, but it may just be fitting to the demographic. Otherwise, it's a great Publix and I would highly recommend it! read more

Shout out to Tanya in the deli! We will wait for her to make our sub just to catch up on her day! No, the service is not fast, no it is not fast-food, but she knows our order, she ALWAYS smiles and our subs ALWAYS are the best! My super shy child can't wait to go see "Miss Tanya" and hear what she made for dinner that week from Pintrest or have a sample of cheese or get his side of pickles for his sandwich. She is such a nice addition to the always rotating staff of deli staff. We already love this Publix from Jasmine at Customer Service, to Brad who always bags our groceries and everyone else we encounter on our multi-weekly stops in. But Tanya is what keeps us coming back. Thank you for hiring wonderful people like her! This Publix is always crowded, the parking lot is ALWAYS full, but the service is great! The shelves are always stocked. If you need something, they can always find it. I asked them to carry a wine I couldn't find and it's always on the shelf when I go in now. Only in the main store, not the liquor store side, but they have it! Bathrooms inside to the right and always clean. Bakery ladies always smiling to hand out cookies to the monsters. I placed my order for my Thanksgiving food to be delivered via instacart this morning 6 days ago. It was supposed to arrive over an hour ago but it hasn't even shopped yet. I have to leave for work. Contacted customer service to reschedule and they won't deliver until after the holiday. Tried to talk to a supervisor but they are too busy to talk with me. Ridiculous!!!! If you pay for your Rx beforehand, give them about 15 minutes to process it before you show up. Love this Publix's pharmacy.

Overall: After 7-10 trips, consider this an average store and prefer other locations (e.g. Hamlin) for staff friendliness and openness of aisle ways. Friendliness of staff might be affected by customers (unfriendly, demanding, etc.) because they themselves seemed not to smile and be very rushed and impatient. Not sure if it's locals or tourist but somethings up. The location works in a pinch for me and good for more locals. Service: 3 stars- After several trips here on way home, have found generally personnel are not as friendly as other locations. Cashiers seem to not smile (at least for lines I went through). Don't get me wrong there are a few here and there (e.g. deli) but not consistent throughout store. Environment: 3 stars- Might he store layout and crowds, but seemed much tighter aisle ways. Who doesn't love Publix: "where shopping is a pleasure"! It's impossible to have a bad experience at a Publix! This store is exceptionally great! It's been open a little over a year now and is definitely a top notch Publix. Consistently clean, well stocked and with fantastic service. This Publix features a great bulk foods area, which I personally really enjoy! It has a great mix of grains as well as trail mixes and other snack mixes, so it's really easy to try a lot of different things. As usual, the BOGO deals at Publix are fantastic too! I was able to rent a carpet cleaner from the store as well and interacted with the General Manager who was incredibly friendly and helpful, just like all the staff! It was nice to see him taking a hands on approach to running the store. read more

When I was in Winderemere this weekend we visited Publix. The store was jam-packed with people. There were more customers without masks than with masks. Wagons were not cleaned down and there was no one monitoring the situation. People did not display any concern whatsoever about social distancing. I was actually scared for our lives. We got out quickly and just couldn't believe the total disregard for safety at this store. I wrote to Customer Service and they politely told me that wearing masks by customers is noted at the front of the store but local law enforcement must enforce. That is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard in my life. The Publix in my neighbor in Hollywood is extremely cautious and maintain an excellent social distancing regimen. They are constantly monitoring the safety of their customers and employees. This is disgraceful. read more

We ordered an Insta cart from Publix. We agreed to the $15 charge because we had ordered wine. Plus we left a five dollar tip that we agreed to. We were told we would get the wine at the price of the store plus if you buy a case you would get the additional 10% off. First off they up charged every bottle, did not give the ten percent off each case. On top of that for a proximately $120 bill they put a $305 hold on our card! When speaking to Instacart they basically did absolutely nothing to remedy this, even though their person told us we were getting the cost of the wine plus a 10% discount. Beware beware beware of your pocketbook if you decide to go this route, as for us we will simply get in our car and go shop for our self knowing exactly what we are spending! read more

I'm trying to think exactly how do you rate a Publix at anything under 4 stars? Maybe I've just been lucky. This is certainly a 4-star Publix, 5-stars being the one in the Dr. Phillips Marketplace. But enough about that. My favorite thing about this location is the people. You know, those employees you interact with the most, like the person in charge of the deli, the cashiers, the pharmacist, etc. Everyone has been so delightful and helpful, the service at this place is truly deserving of 5 stars. I don't believe this place has a sit-down eating area, but I could be mistaken. If anything, it is super tiny and I have missed it. But what they do have is a drive-thru for their pharmacy. I thought this was pretty cool. The whole store is organized really well. I know this kinda thing matters a lot to people and it's truly preference-based. But the store makes sense to me! Also, because of the proximity to Disney, there is an aisle that has a lot of Disney-related swag like t-shirts, cups, pencils, etc. Overall, this is a great location with an adjacent Publix Liquors to the right of the store (if facing it). It is conveniently located in a large plaza with other stores and a gas station nearby. This place is fantastic! read more

Terrible customer service. Do not order online since the prices are not right for this location. They charge you for the sprinkle of the goat or feta cheese here which is a free add on like peppers or onions at the Dr phillips location. So be careful and or do not order from this location. I don't care about a dollar but it's a bigger issue if they do this to everyone else and charge a dollar extra. There are thousands of people go in there every other day. Ps: I'm gonna be doing everything to get any other stores like Costco,bjs, Winn Dixieland or even neighborhood Walmart to be opened close by since I'm in the home association management across the street. This is getting out of control by this publix since they are single handling around here (taking advantage of people). After working at three different Publix stores throughout high school and college, I can say by far this location is the worst. The customer service at this store is usually lacking or non-existent. More often then not the cashier is having a conversation with the nagger and doesn't even acknowledge that you're there. I was there last night and the cashier blindly held out my receipt without even looking at me while complaining to the bagger about how she still has to work for three more hours. One time when I asked for a rain check the lady was very rude and made me go through the ad until I found the item myself, and then when I finally found it she rudely told me that she doesn't know what it is because she doesn't eat that. I ordered a sub online for lunch one day and showed up 10 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready and they hadn't even started making it. I wasn't upset but I mentioned it to one of the managers on the way out and he sarcastically told me that he refund my money but he could tell I was in a big hurry to eat my food. I just don't know how a Publix can consistently be this terribly time and time again. read more
