I ended up purchasing 3 outdoor vanilla umbrellas and an outdoor portable cart, which I can use to transport food to my pool. The staff here was really kind. They quickly help and politely came over to me and helped me find what I needed. They also helped me load everything into my car. Price-wise this store is pretty pricey, but they had some discounts available. For example, they were having a 10% off sale for Father's Day. Altogether, this is a great store for summer furniture.

There are many elderly residents on the street who end up having to walk from a block away because employees of the store take up minimally three to four parking spots every day. After the blizzards, when we spent many hours digging out a few precious spots, Norman's employees rolled in and took them. As I wrote, I cannot speak to how they do as a business, but if this is how they treat their neighbors, I'm guessing they are the opposite of nice and or integrity based people to do business with, which seems to be the case judging by their terrible reviews.

We recently completed major overhauls of both our kitchen and large upstairs bath, and Jen's guidance and support throughout - proved integral to our overall happiness with the outcomes. To touch on the obvious points of feedback first - (1) Weinstein's showroom is beautiful. It's always current, displaying the most on-trend designs, while also providing options at various budget points; (2) Their products are top-notch and built to last. After many years and failed experiences purchasing from big-box stores, only to have to replace faulty products within a couple of years... the investment in quality plumbing infrastructure and fixtures has proven itself time & time again - in saving money in the long run. Those items aside - what makes Weinsteins my 'go-to' is their incredibly knowledgeable staff & their customer-first business practices. Our family is THRILLED with the outcome of our kitchen and bath renovations - and Jen proved to be an integral part of the success of both. I can honestly say - major design & product mistakes & omissions would have occurred - had Jen not partnered with us throughout (and this was even with working with a top notch builder). She finds and creates solutions to make your visions come to life. As examples - after feeling frustrated that our new Thermador refrigerator did not come with a built-in, drinking water filtration system - Jen came up with the option of a separate, chilled & filtered drinking-water faucet & line - directly on our sink. This was a particularly tall-order to implement though, as we also needed the core system to work with the other plumbing fixtures already selected. Jen scoured her sources and found us two universal chilling/filtration systems - with infrastructure that would work with our selected Brio fixtures (and worked with her Plumbing Supply manager to confirm the solution's success with confidence). She provided a further design optimization solution in suggesting to our contractor that they install the base filtration unit on a shelf in the basement - to ensure we still had plenty of usable storage space in our under-sink cabinetry. Our builder, himself, was so impressed with the complete solution - that he later opted to install it in his own family's home. As another example of Jen's above and beyond design knowledge and expertise - her guidance ultimately led us to revamping the already set layout of our shower and entire bathroom. While picking the fixtures themselves, Jen questioned some of the details in the design - which led us to realizing that we ultimately had a less-then ideal design & were not optimizing the space to it's best potential; (And again - this was while working with a top-end builder who we equally respect and will always work with.) Jen just has a level of knowledge and expertise in the kitchen and bath space that is so valuable to any renovation project; And she goes above and beyond just "selling" - to really helping you create solutions that ultimately make your finished projects the best they can be. As a last point of feedback, all major renovations come with some issues. In the one instance where we had an issue with the plumbing hardware, several months after the kitchen was complete - Jen and the Weinstein's team managed it with a very customer-first focus. They provided a replacement product within days, and managed all of the backend warranty details with the manufacturer directly - not requiring our involvement in any part. I have seen and heard about Merritt Gallery since I moved to the area about year ago, but this was…read moremy first time going inside. It is an impressive, contemporary space with a very wide selection of art including wall and free-standing sculpture. When asked for prices the range was quite wide from $900 to $50,000 (yes, $50k). Given some of the pieces displayed and artists represented I imagine that range goes well beyond $50k as names like Picasso, Matisse, and Warhol come up on their website. The gallery has three locations and represents around 175 artists meaning that what you see in store is only a very small sampling of their actual collection. Though I always am looking for new pieces for my collection, today I went in to have a small print framed. Caitlin, one of their consultants, ably showed me an incredible selection of frames ranging from contemporary to hand-carved, hand-detailed wooden frames worthy of the Louvre and works of art in and of themselves. Having chosen to forgo a mat (not needed with this piece) and a fairly simple thin frame, the price caught me off guard: $216. While the financial part of my brain said "no!" the artistic side said "give it a try." I paid the fee and was told my print would be ready in about two weeks. Caitlin offered to have it delivered to me and installed which I may take them up on. Conclusions: Merritt is a great gallery and framing shop. The price lowers my rating to 4.5 stars (I'm a budget conscious art collector). The only issue I had was when Caitlin and I went upstairs to figure out my invoice she left my print exposed on a framing table. I didn't think much about it till I had left, but I wonder when/if someone went down and secured the print from damage. This lowers my ranking to 4 stars. Otherwise a good experience.

my husband and i just moved from an apartment into a house and needed new artwork to fill up the…read moreextra space. i had been to the merritt young gallery in ardmore, and found out that they just opened a new gallery in haverford, just called merritt gallery. i talked to one of the consultants, marcie, and made an appointment with her to bring artwork to my house! it's one thing to see the art in the gallery, but the fact that she brought it to my house really let me see the possibilities! marcie was really helpful and has a creative eye. she was able to suggest paintings that i originally wasn't so sure about, but now that they're here, we absolutely love them!!!
