I had used a local chain pharmacy for years out of convenience to my office. But the store just got filthy and the lines got longer and longer. I had heard great things about Pucci's. I love that it is locally owned and when you talk to the pharmacist you talk to the owner. When I first had my prescriptions changed to Pucci's, my doctor even said, "Oh good for you, they're great." My old pharmacy used to take 3 or 4 days to fill my prescriptions. I left my doctor's office and by the end of the day Pucci's called to let me know my prescriptions were ready. Even better than that, I was offered to come pick them up in person, curb side delivery, or, they could deliver them to my office or home for a small fee. WHAT!!?? I was so impressed with the level of excellent customer service. We're talking like Mayberry levels of good feeling customer care. I'm now a loyal Pucci's Customer for life!!!! read more

Amazing customer service! I have received medications from many pharmacies over the years, but never the level of customer service as here at Pucci. The midtown Sacramento one, each person that picks up the phone talks to me like we are neighbors and are friendly and knowledgeable. It is so difficult to find a business that makes me feel so comfortable to ask questions and asks me questions to make sure I'm getting exactly what I need and understand what is happening. They helped me make the switch from another local pharmacy that is completely not customer service oriented and the transition was smooth and easy. The management of this establishment does absolutely amazing work. They find my specialty meds at little or no cost, they find me special travel vaccines when others can't get them and provide them for 1/3 of the cost of anywhere else. When I am too sick to come pick up my Scripts they literally drop them off. And I live over 30 minutes away. I have never met such kind, results oriented people in the medical profession. I walked in to ask about a COVID-19 vaccine waitlist, and after someone helped me, another employee behind the counter that I wasn't talking to snapped at me for coming in and asking a question. I understand that it is a frustrating time for pharmacies, but you should always treat the customers with respect. I just moved to East Sacramento and would've considered this pharmacy for my family, but after that I don't know if I can expect that they'll advocate for their customers if things get tough. read more

I am a home hospice RN as well as a clinical manager for the Sacramento and surrounding county areas. This means I deal with every patient and staff member we have, and all of us have daily interactions with Puccis pharmacy and their staff. Hundreds of hospice patients of our have depended on this pharmacy for a service that is one of, if not the most, critical area of care we provide... getting medications to our patients day and night, so that they are kept comfortable as they experience the last phase of their lives. Puccis pharmacy has on numerous occasions, assisted me quickly and professionally, sometimes within 15 to 20 minutes because our patient was in a crisis. I live in Southern CA and Pucci's is one of the only Pharmacy's where I could get a certain medicine compounded and shipped to me. The first time my doctor told me he estimated the cost of the medicine would be about $75 and shipping about $8. The medicine was $95.00 and shipping was upwards of $50. They did not tell me how much shipping was, they just charged my card and shipped it. It is not even listed on the receipt. The second time I needed a higher dose (by 50mg from 150mg to 200mg). That raised the price from $95 to $120.95, have you ever heard of that before? And I asked this time how much shipping was going to be and the gal on the phone seemed put off that she had to quote me a price. I told her she may have all the money in the world but I did not! She wanted to overnight my meds at an enormous cost! We compromised on a later delivery and she quoted $45 shipping fee. When I told my doctor about their shipping fees he was shocked! I asked my local pharmacy if they could compound this medicine for me, they agreed. They charge me (cash patient for both pharmacies) $80 for the same medicine. Actually I'm at 400mg now and it's $80. And he said when he has to ship meds that need to be signed for the max cost is $30, not $45 or higher. Looks like Pucci's is making money on shipping fees too. They don't even box the meds, they come in an envelope! They could easily be crushed and ruined during delivery. read more

After shopping around I found the prescription I need, low-dose naltrexone, at about half the price that is charged at Davis pharmacies. Staff at Pucci's are courteous and efficient. I will be transferring all my Rx's to this place. read more

From what I can see, the latest positive review was in 2017, while the negative reviews seem to start in 2018, which is the end of the reviews. Had an appointment go get my booster shot and asked them for a mask since I forgot mine. They told me they didn't have one and to wait outside. I waited for them to call my name for an hour outside. Finally, I decided to go back in to check in. When I did, they told me they called my name 30 minutes ago but never went outside where they told me to wait. They told me to stand on the side and that I will be next. When the gentlemen who was giving me the shot called my name, he yelled to where the entire pharmacy could hear and caused a major scene as to why I'm inside without a mask. I told him I asked for one when I first walked in and I've been waiting outside the whole time but they never went outside to get me when it was my turn. The lady behind the counter finally decided that she did have an extra mask and gave me one. It was embarrassing to have the entire place full of people just staring at you because the man wanted to be a absolute jerk in front of everyone. I'll never be back. read more

Pucci has basically "fired" me because I wouldn't take down my negative review which honestly laid out my experiences with them. They will say we have the right to deny services to anyone. So be it. This is the best pharmacy I've ever experienced anywhere--not just in SAC. The staff is very accommodating and the pharmacist actually gives you the impression that he cares about your health. What pharmacy closes at 1 pm on a Saturday? My mother who is on hospice care was expecting a delivery on Friday afternoon and no one showed. I tried to call them today at 1:30 pm because the medication was still not delivered and no one answered. If my mother was not on hospice I would not use this unreliable pharmacy. read more

This is the pharmacy that I go to and call for help. I work on the third floor in the same building with Puccis Pharmacy. I've known Tom for years. Tom and his staff is wonderful. I get all my parents medication from this pharmacy on a monthly basis and they always make sure I get my medication on time. I get a nice phone call to remind me to pick up my meds too. During work time (I work in the medical field), if I have a question about medication, I call Tom or Pat and they are always so helpful. The whole Puccis pharmacy staff have great personality and sense of humor. They have cute little gifts that you can buy as presents too. Love them. read more

Pucci's is the best pharmacy! The staff is excellent and they have a wonderful selection of various products. Tom is really amazing. He's so knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile for customers. I always visit him when I have some random ailment and he always gives me something to help me out. For example, I had my wisdom teeth removed and I had a terrible case of dry socket. I kept going back to the dentist and they just kept giving me more vicoden, which was not working. I called Tom and he told me to try putting clove oil on my gums. It totally worked and kept me from going insane. I'm so happy that I've found such a fantastic local business. What a disappointment! Some of the sales staff who leave the counter and help the public don't know store inventory and lack basic, fundamental knowledge of common medical issues. The person "helping" me was middle-aged. A twelfth-grader would have known what I was talking about. However, in this instance (1/30/08) the sales staff member had to go back to the pharmacist two different times and ask the pharmacist if the product was available. After I asked a third time and watched the salesperson starting to go back , shrugging shoulders, I realized I needed to go to another pharmacy. To top it off, the staff member was a native English speaker. Attention Pucci Personnel: train your staff on inventory, and customer service! The staff at the drugstore on Folsom Blvd. (near 51st Street, across from Rite-Aid) were helpful, and I got what I needed right away. read more

I've been a customer of Pucci's for over 30 years. Their service has always been delivered with the utmost care and quality. They are without question the most helpful and knowledgeable pharmacy in midtown. They truly go beyond the call of duty. Recently, I contacted Pucci's to purchase empty gel capsules to put a powdered medication in for my cat. Not only was Pucci's able to provide the gel caps, the pharmacist gave me another suggestion for getting my cat to take the medication.
