This fabulous store is filled with traditional and intriguing Mexican imports. From just looking at the exterior I would not have entered but I spotted some bird cages and popped in. Then and looked up and was wow'd! This store is better than some of the best stores in Mexico. The store owner is not super warm and fuzzy however he has a wonderful eye for unique, beautiful and good quality artwork and artisan crafts. I travel to Mexico quite a bit and feel his prices are very fair because I know it's no simple task to bring some of these items back over the border. They have a huge collection of Day of the Dead sculptures and even have some furniture and garden items. He has another store in downtown San Juan Bautista which I frequent but this store is much bigger and has much higher quality items. read more

Purchased a large 38" dark blue lighted Mexican style sun in December. It arrived and was lovely, but the carrier damaged it. Jose was quick to offer a credit if I kept the item or I could return it. He also provided photos of other suns. I decided to purchase a 2nd lighted sun. The sun was a lovely brown bronze, 44". It arrived in perfect condition. In part, because the sun rays were not welded on, but an easy screw on type. Simple to set up as stated. I removed the light on both for my application. I recommend this store and will be purchasing in the future. read more

Pueblo Viejo is a beautiful shop in Capitola. And I do mean beautiful... like an art gallery. If you love Mexican handicrafts, pottery, furniture, artwork and jewelry you will love this store. I was especially impressed with the mirrors framed in hammered silver. Here you will find unique gift items as well as home decor. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot. read more

I would like to give this a zero, but I can't do that, so I gave it a one. Incredibly poor customer service. Their website is not at all clear with respect to the delivery requirements. Who would order a several hundred pound bookcase only to have it unceremoniously dropped at the top of their 30 foot long driveway? I am a single, elderly woman, and entirely incapable of moving such a monstrosity, not only down my driveway, but into my house. When I called to rectify the situation, I was told that all of these parameters are in the fine print in their terms and conditions. I have purchased hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of furniture in my lifetime, and I've never experienced this kind of ludicrous delivery policy. Not only do I have to pay for the "discounted delivery fee which was 20% over and above the $1,700 price of the bookcase, I have to pay the same amount to send it back. So I am down $700 and nothing to show for it but a frustrating hour with UPS and the so-called customer service desk. This is highway robbery, and I highly recommend people do not purchase from this furniture company. read more

This shop is gorgeous!! Has so many unique home decor with a Spanish flare! The shop owners are hospitable and though we stopped by during the capitola wine stroll, we came back and bought a lovely key holder. The pricing is actually very reasonable for the items they carry! Ordered a bed back in November 2019 and it is now March 2020 with no bed and no refund. Have emailed and called numerous times and only to be told a refund will be applied;however, it has been more than a month and still waiting on that refund. Horrible service online and in store. read more
