Clean, but dated. Cold atmosphere and not overly inviting. The staff was great. The menu is not very inspiring. But I came for the food I had the grilled tilapia and shrimp in a sauce that just didn't cut it. Nothing bad... but I had a very weak flavor profile. It was cooked well, but a bit boring. Big portions, good food and free queso!! How can this combo be bad? I had the tostadas and it was pretty good. But the queso was my favorite. The lunch specials were excellent and I saw locals that included cops and even a business event. So pretty much this place is a solid choice for texmex food! However, be sure to ask to be seated in your preferred section as the have a smoking and nonsmoking area, who even allows smoking indoors anymore?? There is a faint smell of cigarettes in the air which was the least favorite part of this place. Not strong enough to affect your eating but nevertheless still there. I stopped here for lunch after driving for hours. We sat in the outdoor covered hut. There's a bar, a tv & lots of fans as it can get hot. The food was ok. Normally I love coming here but today we ordered over the phone and the girl said it would be ready in 15 minutes... we get there 20 minutes later and the same girl that took our order says they never got our order ...?? We verified the number with her and it turned out to be the correct number but she was sure we did not place the order there. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! I had sour cream enchiladas with chicken. Full of flavor and made with moist chicken breast. The beans were flavorful and the rice reminds me if my grandmother's. GET THE WHITE QUESO! Seriously, delicious. And the salsa is full of flavor and not too spicy. The portions are great for the price. The staff is top notch! Everyone was very nice and my water did not get lower than half. Chips were piping hot! My mother in law had the fajitas. She loved them! I tried the beef, very juicy. My daughter had tamales.
